I currently have it on my old dell 3169 with M3 processor 4gb of ram and 615 graphics and its WAY faster than my 1165g7 with 64gb of ram on windows 11. I went and put both systems on desktop with the system monitors up. My linux system 1-2 percent cpu, 1gb of ram and no network processes. On my win 11 laptop on desktop 30-40% cpu useage, 11.3gb of ram being used and lots and lots of network access spikes. What the FK is MS doing behind the scenes? Time to remove them from all my systems. It will take my wife and son a few days to acclimate to Linux, but they will love it after as it's SUPER fast and secure. No spying.

How is garuda to use? mostly the same as other distros? I have used mint a long time ago and zorin recently. I love the visuals of garuda dragonized. Just something about it that speaks to me.

We as a family are all moving to linux slowly as well. I am going to be running garuda on my workstation and laptop, I think I am using it on my sons gaming laptop as well but with the extra gaming distro, and the wife will more than likely like Zorin for her system. The beauty of linux. There are so many flavors you can just pick the one that you like and your off! It all works great now.

Well, I really want something that will work like onedrive but hosted locally but accessible via the interweb. LIke, when I take a photo with my phone, it snycs to my NAS, wherever I am. Just for one example.

Quick question people. I have waydroid installed as I want to use this pc in our adventure truck. Waydroid does not connect to wifi/Bluetooth. I need this to happen so I can hotspot my mobile data, use my trucks audio for music and connect to my Bluetooth GPS module. Anyone out there know how to get this working on this OS/software?

Yes, it's an 11 inch 2 in 1 system. it's got an M3 chip with 515 graphics, 960gb ssd and 4gb of ram. Runs great on Zorin, runs ok on 11.

Yeah, they are not like the old HP printers like my 5660 (I think). It was the best printer. I had the accessory photo cartridge and it worked awesome. I swapped out my ipad for the dell 5169 I had lying around. Loaded linux and waydroid. Now I have the best of both worlds for my tablet duties. A real OS when needed, and adroid apps to top off the experience.

I have been an HP printer user for years. I have recently switched to Epson and Canon. HP has fallen behind and their software borders on spy/nagware now.

Closing programs on linux and windows it just hit "X". no finger gymnastics like command q or anything like that. The third party software for snapping from what I have seen is not as good as native windows. But I never used it for a long period of time to try out. Finder, again, (besides visuals) is not as good as file explorer in windows. But again, I have not tried any third party alternatives.
