Quick question people. I have waydroid installed as I want to use this pc in our adventure truck. Waydroid does not connect to wifi/Bluetooth. I need this to happen so I can hotspot my mobile data, use my trucks audio for music and connect to my Bluetooth GPS module. Anyone out there know how to get this working on this OS/software?

Yes, it's an 11 inch 2 in 1 system. it's got an M3 chip with 515 graphics, 960gb ssd and 4gb of ram. Runs great on Zorin, runs ok on 11.

Yeah, they are not like the old HP printers like my 5660 (I think). It was the best printer. I had the accessory photo cartridge and it worked awesome. I swapped out my ipad for the dell 5169 I had lying around. Loaded linux and waydroid. Now I have the best of both worlds for my tablet duties. A real OS when needed, and adroid apps to top off the experience.

I am looking at running garuda linux on a dual book with my workstation and laptop. Anyone have any experience with it? Sure does look cool, that's for sure.

I have been an HP printer user for years. I have recently switched to Epson and Canon. HP has fallen behind and their software borders on spy/nagware now.

It's ok when Apple does this though.

Closing programs on linux and windows it just hit "X". no finger gymnastics like command q or anything like that. The third party software for snapping from what I have seen is not as good as native windows. But I never used it for a long period of time to try out. Finder, again, (besides visuals) is not as good as file explorer in windows. But again, I have not tried any third party alternatives.

I tried elementary and it looked like an early 90s cheap copy of MacOS. Zorin is a much better setup. It's still way more secure than either macos or windows imo. ha ha.

Right on. Seems that way however. I have been reluctant to move to MacOS because of the backasswards way of using their OS. Like closing programs is a masterclass in poor design. snapping windows is a horrible experience and the finder is rubbish. I do love the hardware though.

I am using firefox with ublock on linux zorin and i find it great too. I was under the understanding that MacOS all browser use the same code so the ad blocking is not as effective because, you know....apple.

For someone who hates windows you seem to be completely consumed with it. try something else. you might be a happier person.

I am enjoying it. Once I get waydroid on it this week, I should be good. there are a few apps I want to use for my music gear and hopefully they will work.

So I have been using this little notebook for a while and found a program called waydroid. I will be installing this on the notebook and I can download any app from the play store on my system to use as I would on an android tablet. This is my new travel tablet. No need for my iPad. I think I can get the software to control my amps on this as well.

Can you check memory swap on your tablet? I am using my dell 3000 11 inch notebook and now have Zorin OS running on it. I only have 4gb of ram on this system and it uses swap at times to make up for lack of ram as MacOS does. This makes the system much better than if you were only using the ram onboard. This new small notebook is going to be my "tablet" as I have waydroid so I can run android apps from the play store. But using linux is a breath of fresh air.

Christ for years apple have been crowing about how 8gb of ram is all that is needed in the mjesus chipped macbook airs. SO yeah, you can "just throw" macOS on the ipad with mchips in them.

Been using the system all evening watching youtube and surfing the net. It works great. I am digging this distro for sure.

I have been meaning to try this for ages now. I have linux zorin on her little low powered dell. Needless to say it runs WAY faster than 11 did. Windows 11 on this machine was ok, but nothing to write home about. This OS is so light that it is just instant for doing normal every day tasks. I was expecting a little increase in performance but this works so well on this little system that it's probably going to be my sofa system moving forward. I just need to log into all the websites I use regularly so I can continue using them as I would on windows. I know one thing, my iPad is now religated to controlling my guitar amp and thats it. Unless there is android app emulation on linux, which would be AWESOME.

Apple is the dumbest company right now. Just put macOS on the iPad Pro. Nobody want's folding tablets/etc. I have a flip 6 and it's the last foldable I will own. Fun for 15 min, now just annoying.
