Im sure a lot of water cooling enthusiasts will feel vindicated this season 🙂 Just in time for Winter

One of the reasons I love my water chiller. I can get cold when I want. I’m excited to try this 13900KF. So far all of the sample people have are really really good! It looks to be a really great product from Intel so far.

We really haven’t had competition like this in forever.

It’s not power limit lol. My bird has 4095w short and long term power limits. Meaning there is 0 limits applied to all. It comes down to silicon lottery and bios. Some board partners apply way too much voltage at stock. This leads to crazy temps and power. Asus usually is good.

Corsair has some crazy unbelievably fast international shipping. I have ordered from the Corsair website a few times this year and they get a package from Taiwan east Asia to Tennessee United States in 3 days!! I wonder why their shipping is so fast? And it’s free. How is this possible? I don’t live in Tennessee, but it’s only like 1 state over.

Corsair ships all memory and storage right from Taiwan.

Beautiful site to see.... Everyone who bought (and continues to buy) on eBay needs to just pump the brakes. 🙂

Is MC still charging $1799 for the MSI Suprim Liquid X or $1749 like BB and NE?

From the looks of it, I think his is pretty good. But I’m seeing a lot of other people with great samples too. I think the lowest I have seen is SP98

Don't really know as I didn't ask. Just know they had plenty as I was the 20th person in store and they asked if I wanted one. They did changed the price on the 13900K to 549.99 sometime between 9pm and 5 am this morning though.

You swapped out your old 12900KS?

You’ve got the right idea man. I’m gonna start doing what you’re doing for sure. I’m gonna start planning in advance with hardware launches. I’m always scrambling last minute. I got ahead this time with CPU’s fortunately. And Newegg had already shipped my 13900KF as of this morning. But RTX4000 series got the better of me for sure. I was not prepared, I decided I wanted one a couple days before launch. And it takes at least 9-34+ days of working on my wife before such a large purchase can happen. 🤣

Well, I swapped out my 12900K that I bought back in April. 🙂 (Cost was 549.99+ 69.99 for 2 year warranty)

As it stands, no one is beating Microcenters in house warranty on computer parts. And Best Buy with their triple the cost warranty is "trash" and take forever to do anything when a problem arises. I walked my 12900K in store with no muss no fuss. Cashier already knew what time it was because he had a guy on 4090 launch day come back in with a complete computer setup to swap out. 😂

For the most part I'm done losing big money on aging parts. Had I bought my Kingpins through them I would be sitting on 4500 right now.

If you do like me, then you only pay upgrade cost plus new warranty. And when the next card comes out you only pay the difference. She can't get mad then. Since she already got mad last year for the initial purchase.😄

Ya Shamancy A-Die. I booted 7800 CL34 but unfortunately it crashed fairly fast lol. Of course this was at 1.47v DRAM and 1.325v IMC. I figure I could definitely push voltages up and get stable, but for now I'm testing 7466 CL34 😛 at just 1.3v IMC and 1.435v default max voltages lol. On a 4x dimm Hero LOL. Unreal.

I have to say, I kind of wished I kept my hero now as it was matching my Unify-X with 2 Dimm slots.

Might have to dump the Unify -X and grab another hero from MC, then just wait for something better to show up.

I tried 7600, but no boot. All these try's were on auto settings only.

Meh I bet it's the A-Die. I doubt very much it's the Hero 4x board. Although Z790 is supposed to have better DDR5 but I'm not swapping boards this gen.

You think you are limited by the Unity-X really?  Or is it just your A-die memory that’s limited?

Does anyone have a delid tool I can borrow for LGA1700?

I think it's more of the "lack of knowledge" than the board...

I am considerably more jealous about the access to a Microcenter that I do not have and may never have than I am the 13900K. That's just wrong, LOL. 🤣 I would buy things from them online, but 100% of the time 100% of anything I would buy is "in store only" so they may as well not exist for me. I am not sure they actually sell anything that involves shipping. This is good for them and good for the people that have access to their stores. It only sucks for the people that don't have access. It looks like you can maybe complete a purchase online, but still have to pick it up at the store.

Ummm, how 'bout no. No workey. Option to buy online and pickup at the store like Best Buy doesn't seem to be an option for Microcenter.

Yeah, totally. It's a good business model even though it is of zero benefit to me. I don't blame them for running things that way. It's really smart on their part.

Well, I got a GPU upgrade for less than the Zotac 3060. I grabbed a 3060 Ti FTW3 on sale from EVGA for about $20 less than the low budget Zotac. Zotac is on its way back to Amazon for a refund. I found out after it was too late that the Zotac 3060 (maybe all of them) have a different bolt pattern around the core and nobody makes a block for it. I have a used EK block incoming for the FTW3.

All I should need to do is remove the coupling in the line and screw the compression fittings into the block. (The G1/4 female-to-female coupling is in there now between the compression fittings because I had to remove the 2080 Ti from the loop and that required less effort than messing with tubing.)

I'm fighting the urge to ride to my two closest MCs tomorrow just to take a looksy since I know online inventory habitually doesn't match in store.

My biggest fear is walking out of there with a 4090 AND a 13900k....

It's one thing to have a few 4090's in your basket then do the responsible thing and close out your session. It's completely another to see them staring you in the face 😉

I'm very tempted to get a 13900KS once they're released. I just built a new workstation and already want to swap out the CPU.🤣

All this benching I'm doing with my super 10900K is leaving me wanting more. Also, I really want a portable gaming desktop I can fit in my laptop bag. Perhaps a custom loop with inlet/outlet ports for hooking up a water chiller to it would be good.

I've gotten introduced to all sorts of awesome things these past few years such as high performance thermal paste, liquid metal, CPU delidding, a real DTR (my trusty X170), and sub-ambient cooling. I've gained so much knowledge and I'm loving it!

Custom watercooling will probably be next for me.
