Those radiators are very very low FPI. They can even cool 300 watts 100% passively, maybe more. 1 1 13900KF

I am using Artic F12 fans, which are very low speed at maximum RPM, so they run full blast with no mechanism to control the speed. It works out really well. They are very quiet and they have adequate static pressure. The way Alphacool designed the fan mounting plate with the round holes there is no place for the air to leak. You can use any kind of fan (square or round with tabs) and not have to worry about static pressure loss. The only direction the air can leave is through the radiator, or backdraft through the fan blades. 1 Wraith // Z790 Apex | 14900KS | 4090 Suprim X+Byksi Block | 48GB DDR5-8600 | Toughpower GF3 1650W | MO-RA3 360 | Hailea HC-500A || O11D XL EVO Banshee // X870E Carbon | 9950X | 4090 Gaming OC+Alphacool Block | 32GB DDR5-8200 | RM1200x SHIFT | XT45 1080 Nova || Antec C8 Spectre // Z790i Edge | 13900KS | 3090 Ti FTW3 | 32GB DDR5-8200 | RM1000e | EK Nucleus CR360 Direct Die || Prime A21 Half-Breed // Dell Precision 7720 | BGA CPU Filth+MXM Quadro P5000 | 4K Display | Sub-$500 Grade A Refurb | Nothing to Write Home About Mr. Fox YouTube Channel | Mr. Fox @ HWBOT The average response time for a 911 call is 10 minutes. I have the KPE 3090ti 360 AIO up top because that puppy generates crazy heat. With my original KPE 3090 I ran it in the front and EVGA CLC 360 in the side with exhaust up top and the heat generation was savage. Fantastic for the KPE 3090, not so great for the internals and CPU. As soon as I switched to a top exhaust and moved the CPU 420 to the front temps improved drastically (as expected). If I move back to an EVGA CLC 360 I am going to mount it on the back vertical and have both it and the KPE 3090ti continue to exhaust and have intakes on the front and bottom and run some tests with anbd without a rear exhaust. Newegg has literally lost my 13900KF it was sent to Wyoming for some weird reason, and it’s now being re-routed to the correct destination via UPS. 😑 I was planning to get it today as the tracking said, but unfortunately it’s now on the other side of the country. At least the tracking updated today though, because it hasn’t since 11/15/2022. I bought this thing Monday last week from Newegg! 😳 Anyways, I just bought a 13900K at my local Best Buy for pickup “They had (1) in stock”. I need something to use ASAP though. I have important files on my main PC I need to access by today. I hate to buy something and just return it, and I may just keep it especially if it’s a better Force2 rating than my other one coming. But I need a cpu today. 1 13900KF
Clamibot
Does anyone know if a 420mm radiator will fit in the Cougar Panzer Max case? I have this case and the manual/documentation for it only says it supports up to a 360mm radiator both top and front mounted, but you can front mount three 140mm fans. I have a 360mm radiator front mounted, and it looks like there's a good 1.5-2 inches extra height. I ask because I want to get the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 when I go out and acquire a 13900K, and I don't want to get another case. Fortunately there are holes in it for external water cooling, so I could go that route as well, but I'd rather stick with an AIO. 1 AlienyHackbook: Alienware M17X R5 | i7-4930MX | GTX 1060 | 32GB DDR3L Kingston HyperX @ 2133 MHz CL 12 | MacOS Sierra 10.12.5 | Windows 10 LTSC | Hackintoshes Rule! electrosoft
My wife had been complaining that playing wow it would get "chunky" in spots. I went in there to run her toon through some 5 players and raids for the free loot give away during the next few weeks and it would be fine one moment then frame drop then fine. I spent today running all types of tests and everything pointed to the GPU or PSU so I loaded up TSE to loop and not 20 seconds in the red light on the PCIE lead came on. Shut everything down, cut the power, reboot run it again and...red light then another red light. Crack open her case and I had forgotten I had put a 700w Zalman PSU in there when she used to run a 3060 then 3070. I had also flipped her card from Q mode to P mode a few weeks back. That poor PSU! 😅 It tried to hang in there as long as it could before it started giving up the ghost. GPU-Z showed total board draw at ~315w max. Popped my Seasonic 1000w in there. No more red lights and total board draw is ~380w now and no more sporadic "chunk" (as she called it). That poor Zalman....lol. 3 1 Electrosoft Alpha: SP109 14900KS | Asrock Z790i Lightning | MSI Suprim X Liquid 4090 | AC LF II 420 | TG 2x16GB 8200 | Samsung 990 Pro 2TB | EVGA 1600w P2 | Phanteks Ethroo Pro | Alienware AW3225QF 32" OLED Ellectrosoft Beta: Eurocom X15 Raptor | i9-12900k | Nvidia RTX 3070ti | Samsung 990 2TB | 15.6" 144hz | Wifi 6E Heath: i9-12900k | EVGA CLC 280 | Asus Strix Z690 D4 | Asus Strix 3080 | 32GB DDR4 2x16GB B-Die 4000 | WD Black SN850 512GB | EVGA DG-77 | Samsung G7 32" 144hz 32" My for sale items on eBay. So does that mean you need to go buy yet another 13900K? Each time you buy one it gets better. I have another one that will be here Friday. We’ll see how good it is. I trust the Force2 rating for sure though. It is 100% legit. The lower the better and MSI is on to something. This 13900K is really amazing for sure though. It’s just CRAZY efficient. I take caution with these CPU’s now though. They can degrade so easily. Honestly, they really are the hot rod of processors. They are like a precision belted magnum rifle, they call them “Barrel Burners” because after about 80-100 rounds fired, your rifling is gone! These 13900K’s can begin to eat themselves after just a few weeks or even days of heavy benching with 350+ watts load. So, they are really meant to just run stock, finding that minimum voltage for 5.5-5.8Ghz boost is the way to go for long term cool running performance. I’m not gonna push past 300 watts with this one. 1 13900KF

The 12900K have been near peak power/clocks all time since Feb until now. Yet, not have seen any degradation. It will soon have a nice life in a gaming rig for my son. Maybe I will call it "in retirement same as me", LOOL I would rather say you should be a bit more careful with the IMC. Have seen a few chips that can't run memory at peak anymore. But the cores still kick ass. 1 5 "The Killer" ASUS ROG Z790 Apex Encore | 14900KS | 4090 HOF + 20 other graphics cards | 32GB DDR5 | Be Quiet! I’m gonna say that you’re very good with maintaining low temps, and you help prevent degradation probably. Maybe not the average person though. I hit my 11900K super hard too. Heavy power, heavy amperage. But, it never went above 75C with heavy benching. And realistically stayed well below 50C on a daily basis. It’s as good as ever. And now it’s living on a AIO@5.4 which is just laughable lol. Maybe it’s not true and it’s all BS, but a lot of these engineers responsible for testing etc swear that degradation was a problem even for 12900K’s, and especially 13900K’s now that the power envelope is pushed so high. I don’t know what to believe anymore. Maybe it’s the guys running these long loads for hours on end everyday who are only seeing degradation. I don’t really know what to expect, I just know it’s being thrown around more than ever. I feel like if I keep doing what I’m doing I’ll be fine. And that’s numero #1 (Keep the cpu as cool as possible) is really all I got. 4 13900KF

And that’s numero #1 (Keep the cpu as cool as possible) is really all I got. My guess is the degradation they're seeing is from running too high a voltage on the CPU for too long. Out of anything you can do to a CPU, there is nothing that has more potential to permanently damage your CPU than voltages that are too high. Temps and power draw aren't really a problem, it's voltage. Although temps and power draw can definitely affect your CPU's longevity, voltage affects it much more. Heavy benching won't degrade the CPU unless you cross a certain voltage threshold. I'd say 1.4 volts on anything from Skylake up to Rocket Lake is a good long term max voltage that won't harm your CPU even if running 24/7 with that voltage. For Alder Lake and Raptor Lake, I think the maximum voltage considered safe for 24/7 operation is 1.3 volts, but I think you'll be fine up to 1.4 volts for long gaming sessions. It's when you exceed these values during long term operation that you may experience problems. I'd say if you never exceed 1.4 volts during a long 6 hour gaming session, you'll be fine. If you want to be super duper sure, find out what your max stable all P-Core overclock is using adaptive voltage with the voltage offset at 0mv and using conventional water cooling, like on a 360mm AIO. Take note of the highest voltage you see, and don't ever exceed that value. 3 AlienyHackbook: Alienware M17X R5 | i7-4930MX | GTX 1060 | 32GB DDR3L Kingston HyperX @ 2133 MHz CL 12 | MacOS Sierra 10.12.5 | Windows 10 LTSC | Hackintoshes Rule!
