I don't know why the Benchmate validation window has become so gigantic and bloated looking. That totally sucks and it wastes a ton of screen space. It is only like that on W10/11. On Windows 7 it is still the original size and is far more aesthetically pleasing and screen space-friendly the old way. I asked the Benchmate author to explain why the ugly changes. Brother @Rage Setin case you did not see it, I think you have an answer to a question you asked about certificates on W7 in that same thread.

Seems like HWBOT is malfunctioning again. It is saying my best submissions are not my best, when they in fact are, and not calculating scores.

Be happy you don't have an 1080P screen. A hell lot worse. Almost impossible see much of the benchmark rendered screen. And on top... They have created an very ugly Asus UI for Asus boards to make it fullfilled. Not sure why but probaly a paid work. Bigger is better... Isn't it?😀

There will be security problems and vulnerabilities as long as the human race continues because some members of our species are horrible, evil, dishonest and deserve to die for their abject despicableness. The expectation that any computer is actually safe is utterly ludicrous, and castrating all of them with skanky patches simply because some icky bastard might take advantage of some of them is like going out into the back yard with a fly swatter and believing that doing so is going to make a difference.

So, I fixed the PCH temps with combination of things. The Samsung 970 EVO NVMe SSDs were contributing to that for some reason. Swapping them out with the 960 Pro NVMe SSDs in Banshee brought the temps down about 6°C. Don't know why. (In hindsight, those 970s are what I used in the Crosshair and it also had crazy high PCH temps.) Then I added that massive heat sink with a 12 W/mK thermal pad and two 60mm fans.

Nice scores bro Fox. Regarding the PCH temps. You said thei went down 6°C with swapping the drive but what reduction did you get with the heatsink? And what PCH temp do you have in idle and when running ssd benchmarks?

Before swapping out the 970 EVO NVMe SSDs the PCH temps were reaching 80-85 at idle (about what the temps were in the X570 Crosshair) and running SSD benchmarks like ATTO would push the PCH close to 90°C. Now they are upper 60's and running an ATTO benchmark does not change the PCH temps. My office is 25°C (77°F) right now and my PCH temps are 67°C with the system idle or running SSD benchmarks.

I ran 4 SSD benchmarks and there was almost no change in PCH temps.

A nice improvement. 20C lower temps is great. I expect even with an PCIE 4.0 drive you won't have such problems anymore now 🙂

Probably more in the tank with an custom cooling. Luumi said above 80C and Alder lake become flaky.

Those benchmarks were with the PCIe 4.0 NVMe so that is not an issue.

Wow, that is an even better score. Nice job. I am going to have to up my cache to 47x. I have been running it at 43x.

The bench finished, but you can see that the run is invalid from the rendered pict

I guess I am not seeing it anywhere. Benchmate usually says "invalid" when the run is not valid and you cannot submit it to HWBOT if the run is invalid. Unless they changed something and now they accept invalid submissions.

If you are referring to the gold color behind the score, that seems to be a cosmetic change with the latest "preview" version (0.10.9 Preview 1) of Benchmate. There are no invalid flags on the runs and an invalid run cannot be submitted to HWBOT.org if memory serves me correctly.

Every benchmark run with the Benchmate 0.10.9 Preview 1 version has the gold color there. If I run Benchmate 0.10.8.0 the color is green and the time measurements are the same.

I like his Avatar photo. We are both fans of the Dark Tower novel series. But that isn't me, lol. Thanks though bro

If you are referring to the gold color behind the score, that seems to be a cosmetic change with the latest "preview" version (0.10.9 Preview 1) of Benchmate.

That might be. But, it was still counted as valid by Benchmate. I did get my question answered as well about the color.

Maybe we will get an benchmate validation software on top of benchmate to validate the scores 🙂

And I'm not very impressed with some of the workmanships. Corsair should add gaskets around the doors. 0.5-7mm gap on the top / bottom of the doors lead to incorrect air pressure in the chassis. Aka dust build up or that the fans draw in unfiltred air. I have to find a solution for this (a window gasket will work). I'll give their HW designers 0 of 10 for this failure on a otherwise great chassis.

I just got a pack of Window/door gasket for the chassis. I'm still baffled Corsair couldn't do a better job on a chassis that cost +600$. And I bought a Metal strip covered in black plastic to make an arm for fans intended cooling the memory/vrms.Will work same as the flexible arm for mounting fans for bench tables. Not as pretty but I think a proper mounting will make it pretty enough in the chassis 🙂

Edit.

Yep, the gasket works well. It cost 10$ here home for the package (perverse for 6 m wimpy thin P shaped gasket). I'm sure it wouldn't cost Corsair more than 1$ in parts to fix their broken/bad design decisions. And probably less/same for mounting it on the chassis.
