Anyone using it and can give some thoughts about how it is as a daily driver? I would go with either the surface duo 2 or the new Oppo Find N2. Both are a much better form factor, and the Samsung screens are breaking alot. I have worked at the bell store for almost a year, and had at least a dozen flips and about 5 folds come back with damaged and nonfunctioning screens. The Oppo, and even more so the duo, do not have these issues with the screens. The second issue with the fold 4 is the cigar sized closed screen. It's useless to do anything on. The Oppo has a nice exterior screen, and the interior screen is still nice and large. Just a better form factor overall. 2 Workstation - Dell XPS 8940 - desktop creative powerhouse Mobile Workstation - Dell inspiron 5406 2 in 1 - mobile creative beast Wifey's Notebook - Dell inspiron 3169 - Little gem for our businesses

Interesting i thought until the 4th gen. samsung had enough input to make better displays. 😁. Supposedly the new one+ is going to be based off the oppo as they are sister companies. I would never purchase a one+ device because of their shady dealing with customer credit cards in the past without any remorse after getting caught two different times. But, I am thinking the pixel "fold" will be similar as well. 1 Workstation - Dell XPS 8940 - desktop creative powerhouse Mobile Workstation - Dell inspiron 5406 2 in 1 - mobile creative beast Wifey's Notebook - Dell inspiron 3169 - Little gem for our businesses

NO screen fold. It's slimmer than my iphone 13 when it it's folded. and it's the right size and way to do a folding device for productivity! 1 Workstation - Dell XPS 8940 - desktop creative powerhouse Mobile Workstation - Dell inspiron 5406 2 in 1 - mobile creative beast Wifey's Notebook - Dell inspiron 3169 - Little gem for our businesses

Reciever
After using an LG v30 I had gotten from @Mr. Fox I have stepped into the Pixel 7 Pro. Its a nice phone, a bit discouraging that it doesnt formally support USB C to HDMI/DP via Alt mode. Going to see if I have any luck on that front this week with some Dell Docks at work. 4 Telegram / TS3 / Twitter 2700X to 5800X3D upgrade! With a 10850K cameo! K4sum1
Well I'll give a update on my phones now. I have my SIM temporarily in a Xperia XZ running Android 8. The XZ1C still works, but currently has no ROM as I'm waiting for a new version of a ROM I'd like to use. The S7 broke because of my neglect for the expanding battery. It got so bad that it broke the display. The SIM tray previously got stuck and destroyed itself so I might as well just get a different S7 or a different phone to replace it. The Motorola Droid Razr M isn't my music device anymore, it was replaced with a iPod 5.5. It's quite modded, It has the shell, jack assembly, 30 pin spacer, frame, front, and click wheel from a black 6. The display was broken so I replaced it with a different one. Battery is a 2000mAh square one. The storage is a iFlash Solo with a 256GB SD card. The only original part from that 5.5 is the logic board. The HTC Rezound is on a 4.4.4 ROM, I set it up and then proceeded to not use it, probably going into storage soon. 2 Precision M4800 - i7 4810MQ, 32GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro M2200 Thinkpad T430 - i7 3630QM, 16GB RAM, Intel HD 4000, 1080p display mod Main PC - AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, 64GB RAM, RTX 2080 Ti
kojack
One of the best phones ever made is still going strong. The Note 9. I love the design of that phone. I wish I could get the roms loaded on the N/A versions. But Samsung locked the qualcomm versions and only left the exnyos versions unlocked. kojack
Fast forward over a year. My wife and I are using our Pixel 8 pro's for 6 months now and they are better than we even thought. As a creative, the camera system in them are second to none. The images we got from our son's graduation were fantastic and much better than the ones my brother took with his Canon T3. The overall performance of the phone using the MS launcher is perfect as well. Even the wife, who is a diehard apple fan, loves hers. We can't see us going back to apple anytime soon. Moreso now with their amazing security (sarcasm). K4sum1
Again over a year later. The display on my XZ1C broke while I had it apart. I was trying to replace the tape I had previously used to keep it shut. I had to get a new display and earpiece speaker since I broke that too trying to take it off. I reassembled everything and it's still my main even though I have a on paper better phone. I also build my own ROMs now and it's what I use on the phone nowadays. https://github.com/Eclipse-Community/build_lineage/releases I bought a XZ2C for a really good price, the seller priced it in line with the cheaper Japanese models and I snapped it up. I am conflicted on whether it's better than the XZ1C personally. I assume I'll have my mind made up in a year from now if I'm not dead. Still have no S7 (will give virtual succ for Exynos S7 please) I went from iPod 5.5 to XZ1C, I even made this entire post about why classic iPods kinda suck. https://board.eclipse.cx/viewtopic.php?t=595 Except I went back to the iPod 5.5 because of the DAC. It's actually that good. I really need to redo that post. The HTC Rezound is in storage like I thought it would be. I also got a really good and nice condition Note 3 for free. Custom ROM'd to 7.1.2, it's nice. I also believe in 7.1.2 or Nougat supremacy. Oreo is still zased, but I see why Nougat is so good. I also have a few other more phones now, Galaxy S5 and Z3C also on 7.1.2, and an iPhone 5 coolbooted to iOS 6. K4sum1
I've never had screen brightness be an issue for me. I actually don't get how it's an issue for other people.
