Il y a toujours une solution à tout (sauf si l'on parle de modification du BIOS virtuel Nvidia, c'est impossible :/).

Vous pouvez réaliser : des dissipateurs thermiques personnalisés, des supports MXM personnalisés, etc.

Hi, do you know what the difference is in terms of mounting holes and GPU position between the A4000 and an RTX 4070, for example?

The RTX 4070 uses the standard MXM layout and X-bracket layout.

The A4000 is different, it's not standard MXM layout because of the core offset, which is in the middle.

However a standard X-bracket will work on the A4000 like on the RTX 4070.

For both layouts, 4070 and A4000, you need some new heatsinks because of their higher TDP and the different MXM layout.

You can do: Custom heatsinks, custom mxm holding, etc.

yeah obviously i can modify it, but the thing here is. idk if it is going to work with my machine anyway... nobody tested that cards on the GT60/70. the only i saw its a quadro rtx 4000 working on the gt70 from a yt video. and the author dont described what variant of the card he used.

theres no data about the module he used. i dont ear the fan spinning at the maximum for example

if it works on the GT70, works inthe GT60 since both are basicly the same

and, i cant confirm if the video outputs are working

for x-vsion 4070, you can use the stock gt60/70 heatsink and modify it to make fit the card

Anyway, if the Quadro RTX 3000 works on the GT60, then logically the Quadro RTX 4000 should work as well. And I think the whole Turing family should work fine too, since in the end it’s a generation that’s fairly close to Pascal.
But the problem is actually finding these Turing Quadro RTX cards — it’s almost impossible. The 3000 is already very hard to find, but a 4000 or 5000 feels like an impossible mission, I think.
As for the 4060/4070, yes, the stock heatsink is enough with a few modifications so the VRMs fit properly. I did it on the GT60 Haswell I used to have. No issues either getting the card recognized with the drivers. The only remaining issues were the EC Panic Mode and the video outputs that needed fixing. But I couldn’t test any further because I quickly switched over to the Precision 7720 that I found brand new for 300 euros...

I have one RTX 3000 HP available if you want.

I have like 2 laptops with this GPU, on the M17X R4 eDP 120Hz red nebula and the Dell Precision M6700 Red Covet eDP 120Hz.

It seems that HP cards can cause issues on the GT60. They’re slightly wider and apparently don’t fit properly in the chassis. That’s what I’ve been told, but I’ve never checked it myself.

I was able to fit them on 3 laptops. It's like the RTX 4070, needs small modifications since the core is like 0.4mm to the right.

J'ai pu les installer sur trois ordinateurs portables. C'est comme la RTX 4070 : il faut faire quelques petites modifications car le cœur est décalé de 0,4 mm vers la droite.

Sliderfra told me that HP cards don’t fit in the GT60. Apparently, HP Quadro RTX 3000 cards simply cannot fit inside.

Then how did I make them fit? By the way HP cards are eDP friendly, you don't need to get the backlight mod v2 cable because the AETINA, ADLINK and PNY ones need that cable in order to display in the eDP screen.

On the GT60, the MXM slot is located at the edge of the chassis, preventing larger cards from fitting. The depth is also a tight fit, down to the millimeter, because of the entire mSATA card assembly. It's not a matter of the GPU's orientation; it's simply a matter of the MXM connector's placement, with a reserved space that's precisely sized for the MXM B 3.0 standard. If the card is too wide, it will be blocked by the chassis; if it's too deep, it won't fit because of the mSATA RAID card.

Unlucky for you. Didn't know about this. Might need to modify chassis
