AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs get official ‘New Low Prices’ on AMD webstore

AMD slashed the prices, As expected we should never buy these PC components on Day 1. Always wait for price cut and avoid first adopter tax.

image.thumb.png.2f449911946b65f85f68d5c118ee3703.png

Surprisingly AMD says these are limited time deals lol Update: PCGamesHarware claims that Ryzen 7000 price cuts are only for the Black Friday Week sales. Therefore, those are time-limited offers.

Anyways a win is a win. Having AM5 and new PC builders should go with this if they want to keep their rig for a looooong time esp until Zen 5 X3D (2025+), Intel will have a socket in this time with 2 chipsets per CPU SKU revision (14th and 15th gen) like always and will probably abandon the socket like the usual policy.

thx for posting guys! for the record, im baffled at the sometimes weird reporting on intel raptor lake vs. zen 4 specs, value and performance. unfortunately, it seems that for both camps there are still fanatics around that twist any and all small / irrational advantages towards their side.

prime example for Intel fanboys: testing the 13900k with ddr5-6800 at the edge of stability (not all cpus can just do 7000+ out of the box, esp with a quick n dirty setting) but comparing it to mainstream ddr5-6000 on zen4. 6000 might be "sweet spot" in terms of value but if u go bleeding edge u can also push to 6600 on zen4. and then at the same time arguing that raptor lake is the "value" option because it offers ddr4 😂 so which is it, Intel fanboy?!?!

prime example for AMD fanboys: zen4 is super efficient and lower power than raptor lake, even though were talking 250+ watts at stock! does that really matter vs. 275 watts?! plus, u can always tune the voltages a bit (on both sides!) and gain way more efficiency. and sure, platform longevity is a big factor here but there are lots of Alder Lake users out there who just want to upgrade their cpu, not their whole platform! get over yourself, AMD fanboy!

my point being: we are at a point where both platforms are SO good that in the end its down to personal preference. but u cant go wrong either way:

sorry for the rant guys, just had to get this out there 😋

AMD saved by old hardware.

In terms of individual CPUs, AMD processors still lead the charts in total products sold and revenue. The Ryzen 5800X3D, 5600X and 5800X are the top 3 most popular CPUs, followed by Intel’s Core i5-12400F. Unfortunately the most popular Ryzen 7000 CPU (7700X) was still 3 times less popular than Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

AMD shouldve gone budget this time around and eat up some of the lower revenue in order to bring more people on board AM5. the more ppl they can bind now the more will likely upgrade and stick to Ryzen CPUs. maybe they have learned a bit in the meantime, cpu and mobo pricing for AM5 has decreased considerably since launch, but ppl are still waiting for 13900KS and X3D 7000 skus to surface in bulk before they jump onto the nextgen wagon i reckon...

Hopefully today we will get the X3D chips announcement, ETA 6H. And they will be in stock end of month, hope AMD learned a bit and will stop charging a ton of money for them.

Looks like Amd is experimenting like intel with p core and e core nonsense..

I wonder how will windows cope with the x3d cpus.

How will it switch between the chip with the vcache on  and the other without depending on the app it runs. I forsee some windows bugs😁

Probably games and stuff that benefit from the cache will run only on the vcache chiplet with the other free for productivity stuff.

I read a rumor that maybe it will function only on win 11 and that win 10 will have problems..

Well see. Maybe im gonna get the 7950x3d but no price announcement means amd will charge again 800 bucks for it.  Greedy bastards

Should definitely expect bugs. Winduhz 11 is a buggy mess, and if AMD does that we should not be surprised if things get goofy. If that happens it will be interesting to see how long it takes them to fix it.

I'm looking forward to reviews/benchmarks of the new 65W non-X Ryzen 7000 parts. If they can provide a decent increase in gaming over my current 5950X, I'll likely switch.

Even more $$$$ for "locked down" unlocked processors, LOOL

More here..... Its nice seeing AMD removed features as "Unlocked for Overclocking" in spec sheets for the new gen 3D V-Cashe chips

Equal as they do today with vanilla Ryzen chips.... HAVOC🙂

As you already know, it's important to keep your Windows PC updated and patched to protect against the latest security threats, as well as to ensure you have access to the latest features and capabilities. And as you probably also know, Microsoft's updates sometimes inadvertently cause more problems than they solve.

Interesting that they sell castrated CPUs and spin them as special. This is really difficult for me to relate to as someone that cares about overclocking.

Nothing more special than their usual workmanship... You just can't trust that AMD will make your life easier at desktop.

Latest AMD AGESA Firmware Inadvertently Disables Cores On Some Ryzen 5 7600X CPUs Affected Ryzen 5 7600X chips lose significant performance.

The flawed firmware doesn't affect all Ryzen 5 7600X, one of the best CPUs. It only impacts the samples that leverage a dual-CCD design.

A fix is reportedly on the way, and the new firmware should arrive in the next couple of weeks.

If AMD can't fix own shit... How can Microsoft make the new X3D chips work properly with Windows and dual CCD design?

not only that, but AMD is apparently planning hybrid cpus in laptops with regular Zen4 cores coupled with "Zen4c" cores, basically cut down Zen 4 cores tuned for efficiency, lower clocks and lower peak performance. sounds familiar? 😅
