Looks niiiiceeee. Oh man that case is huge. Would love to have place for something like that. Sadly kids have the whole house know. 😄  I only have a small corner bench for myself. Im going to go with the o11 dynamic evo for myself. Like the inverted look😁.

haha i feel you man. were currently on the lookout for a new appartment to rent and ill be happy if i get my own room / mancave or a corner where i can put all my stuff. thats life! 😄 whats your time plan for your build? any ideas on specs yet?

@jaybee83 Did you get an Arctic Freezer AIO? If so, does it have a QC sticker on it?

yes and yes. i got it directly from Arctic via their ebay account, that way i could be sure i got a sku without any of their recent troubles with faulty sealing rings.

btw, first successful boot today! w00t w00t! initially i had trouble getting it to boot, was showing memory error codes. after some trial and error i found out that the board prefers the first two sticks to be in A2 and B2, strange. ill do a bios update and see if that changes anything. also noticed that the case LED strip is not lighting up, but ill check that sometime later. for now, thats not a priority 😛 next step is to get all the drivers, os and software together and go ahead with the install!

ill post some more pics later on 🙂

Depends if the firm where i send my Clevo will repair it or not. If not then i need to get early a desktop, i almost bought yesterday the stuff, had to fight with myself. 😁

If the Clevo is dead i was thinking to buy fast a machine that i can afterwards upgrade when RDNA 3comes out.

I had in mind the B650 Strix in white pair it with a 7700x and the trident 6000 CL 32 or 36 in white of course. PSU im still undicided maybe the Phanteks AMP 80 Plus 1000W or the LianLi 850 White, didnt find any platinum white edition.. and the O11 dynamic evo in white, gpu going to stay on an old evga 1660 and decide when RDNA 3 comes out if red or Green and what White Edition will come. So this is the Emergency PC if the Clevo is dead. If its not dead then maybe the Strix 670x white with the 7900x maybe for Black Friday when there are some savings on the AMD stuff.

The final goal is to get the x3d version next year.

Now i am on a Office PC with i3 8100 and 16 gb ram. Thank god for Game Pass, i can play with the cloud some games. 😁 What is stupid you cannot play with keyboard an mouse..only Gamepad in the cloud so FPS are out so im playing Forza 5 and Sniper Elite

i wonder what genius came up with that idea to restrict cloud gaming to gamepads only 🤦‍♂️

here some new pics, i spent a several hours just on cable connections and management, going back and forth between case and motherboard manuals 😄

DeXAdf7.jpg

here the sight that greeted me at first when opening up the back panel. already a ton of cables due to the multifold front I/O connectors.

JQSys2S.jpg

here again after PSU install and connecting all required cables to the mobo.

G8UahqO.jpg

im quite happy about this cable cover in the Enthoo Pro 2, makes hiding the cable jungle way easier 😂

HUMiBtl.jpg

aaand here we have the results up front. not bad for someone whos been out of the desktop game for 15 years, eh? 😎 im pretty happy with the results! ive also already installed the LF II 420 in the front, but havent gotten around to taking pics yet. ill follow up tomorrow, including some RGB vomit unicorn party pics when the system is switched on 😄

tomorrow ill also continue with downloading all drivers, updated OS and programmes, should take me a while. then off to fresh install!

ive played around a bit with the bios and updated it to the newest version 0705 up from the initial 0511. SP rating of my 7950X is 116, which seems to be average (pre-production or early production samples for the press were around 109, other users have so far reported 114 up to a single golden sample at 119, seems like the SP spread is so far pretty tight on Zen 4). my "cooler score" was calculated at 172 pts, which seems to be on the high side from what ive seen so far. no idea what that means though, likely some kinda capability score with which the cpu knows how high it may boost.

some quick n dirty manual overclocks with most settings left on auto resulted in DDR5-6400, as well as 5.7 GHz all core at 1.25V VCore. this is of course without any stress testing, just whatever was capable of booting into bios.

aight, enough for today! my trigger finger is ready for tomorrow to snipe the last major piece of this BEASTLY puzzle, the 4090 😉

omg....what a fight. truckloads of stock my ass 😅

i was just barely able to snipe an MSI Suprim X for the same price as the Zotac after having seen the TPU reviews (300€ above FE for same crappy cooler performance aint gonna cut it for me). the Strix looked good, but good luck getting a reasonable price for it. so Suprim X it is! quietest cooler, second best cooling right after the Strix (and Strix isnt beating it by much!) and strongest VRMs out of all cards thus far with 26 whopping phases 🙂 im happy!

Nice bro, hope ist going to come fast with the post so you can show us the final working build 😀

I think its ploy from nivida and the shops to create  fake demand, everywhere i look there are no cards to buy, i cant imagine that are selling this good or the scalpers are buying trucks of them.

itll be here tomorrow, i said to myself: at THAT price i might as well ditch out the few extra bucks for overnight express shipping 🤪🤘

and yeah i dunnno wtf is going on with stock. it seemed like shops were only opening the floodgates to let out a few cards at a time before blocking everything off again. total chaos and very stressful...

here some pics of the built system without the GPU but with lots of unicorn vomit lulz:

sKS8SeA.jpg

unfortunately no space on top to install the behemoth 420mm radiator of the LF II, so front is the only option. super quiet though, to bubbling or gurgling sounds and made sure the rad is installed as far up as possible to give the pump the lowest relative position vs. the top of the rad.

i noticed that the LED strip included in the case (right below the mobo, the edge of the psu shroud) doesnt light up, might have to double check the connection at some point. but not really a priority for now, wanna get ahead with system install first.

overall very happy with how it turned out, cabling super clean, everything is nicely visible aside from the unavoidable AiO tubing, but fixed that loosely to the mobo so that i stays in place with a cable tie.

LdBwM7f.jpg

also quite happy with the front fans, theyre arctic P14 ARGB that ill later swap out for 6x Noctua IPPC 3000 in push n pull config. the Arctic ARGB fans will then be used as case fans for extra ventilation and eye candy.

my plan so far for fans:

- front = rad with 6 Noctua fans in push n pull as intake

- bottom = 3x Arctic P12 ARGB 120mm as intake

- top = 3x Arctic P14 ARGB 140mm (using the fans included in the AiO currently installed in the front) as exhaust coming from bottom and through the GPU

- back = 1x Arctic P14 exhaust

- optional = one additional Arctic P14 fan on the back of the gpu pointing upwards towards the RAM. this is to better suck up the heat and air coming from the bottom and the GPU, as well as provide some more direct cooling to the RAM sticks for OC purposes.

total of 14 fans, should be enough right? 🤣

ill also update the OP to reflect the change in GPU model

here some more pics after gpu install:

iTNtAVc.jpg

hQBKghE.jpg

and geez, its SO freaking big (and yes, thats definitely what SHE said, as well! 🤣) i have a behemoth case, a huge AiO, E-ATX giant of a mobo and still, putting this GPU in suddenyl makes everything else looks normal sized or small LOL.

as you can see, the Seasonic TX-1600 12VHPWR cable was super easy to route, doesnt really take much away from the tidy interior. just bothers me a bit that the connector goes towards the tempered glass side panel and not off to the side, i.e. towards the AiO. but in any case, i still have sufficient space so that its not pressing against the glass.

m7nzvxS.jpg

GPU sag was actually not that bad after install! i needed a level to actually determine if there was any sag and it was tiny. still, i dont want it to get worse with time so i used the gpu holder included with the X670E Extreme, quite handy with a strong magnet in its base so that it stays in place. the tip is rubberized so no scratches to the gpu. plus its small enough to be basically indiscernible behind the GPU power cable.

fdOGLMG.jpg

here the "other" side of the system. i marked the spot where the stock cable cover would squeeze onto the psu cables with its sharp edge, it already left a tiny dent on the outermost insulation of the cables. nothing worrisome yet, as the insulation is still intact. but with time that would potentially become worse, so might as well just do away with the cover. side panel is good enough to keep everything in place.

wouldve loved to install my 2.5" SSDs in the front of the system, u can see right next to the AiO that there are plates with SSD mounting holes, unfortunately thats a no go cuz no space left between the rad and those plates. so that only leaves the backside with the cables to install the SSDs to....ugh. anyone got ideas on how i could potentially still install them in the front? still need space for top, bottom and back fans, and id like to avoid having to use double sided sticky tape....

on another note, see that blank area below the GPU? thats where a second ITX system would normally go, since the Enthoo Pro II is a dual system case. im planning to install a Raspberry Pi display in there at 10 inches and powered via USB so that I can put a sensor panel on it, kinda like shown here by JTC:

cant say it enough, that gpu is a CHONKYDONKDONK boi! cant wait to take it out for a spin 🙂

here some more pics after gpu install:

and geez, its SO freaking big (and yes, thats definitely what SHE said, as well!

That's just straight up beautiful bro.

I've been using the same case for over a year now and lack of room is never an option. Only gripe I have is still I wish it was an inch deeper in the back (giggity) for a touch more wire management room but I'm dealing with 6x PCIe leads for my KPE 3090ti atm. 🙂

Did I read that right that the motherboard package was 6.1 kg?  That's a chonky motherboard!  Though perhaps not relative to that beastly GPU!

Props on the cable management, too.  There are definitely a lot of cables, but you've got them nearly organized!

the case is absolutely awesome! SO much space and well built / designed, only little gripe i have is the limited space on the backside for cable management. but its still doable, so all is good 🙂 LOL i just saw u have the exact same gripe, seems were on the same side here 😂 dude, im SO happy i got the Seasonic TX-1600 which already includes two 12VHPWR cables, so very easy and clean gpu power cable management.

yes u read that right, i weighted it myself 🤣 TONS of accessories in the box and the mobo itself is a total brick and built like a tank. and it STILL seems small compared to that chongous gpu hahaha! thx man, i took my sweet time with the cable management, so much fun to be building a desktop again after such a long time 🙂

alright guys, finished installing Hyperion, next step is to collect all my data off the Dark Knight and transfer it over. also planning to temporarily empty my two 860 Evos so I can fuse them together in a RAID 0 config.

does anyone know if TRIM is still available for a RAID ssd config? would have to test that before i keep it. currently in JBOD, but easier to use the whole space in RAID (plus advantage in sequential performance which is my priority for like 99% of the data on those two drives).

while installing, couldnt keep myself from doing some quick 4090 testing and oc 😅😋 so far ive been able to push the core up to 3180 Mhz and VRAM to around 24+ Gbps, absolute BEAST this gpu. ill need to do proper stress testing though to check stability. temps are in the mid 60s with hotspot hitting 70-74C. this is with my case cooling still pretty barebones, only have the three push fans on the AiO in the front and the three gpu fans, thats it 😋

Wow, looking at this angle, the 12VHPWR cable is quite thick (which has its advantages obviously... safety, hello) but not as easy to route as say the Corsair cable:

the BeQuiet one:

or the one in the the new Toughpower GF3 (the second cable from the bottom right I believe):

yep its quite beefy, although from the looks of it the be quiet cable might be comparable.

highest gpu power draw ive seen so far was 465W at 1.1V and oced. havent run any 3Dmark benches yet, so curious to see what thatll bring. i want to prove without a doubt that the TX-1600 cam exceed 450W on the gpu 😋
