And no there are no changes too it, Even when trying to for example force less than 1V it still wont change, So either I'm doing something wrong, Or it's just not accepting it or something else is at play. Raven
So the panel on my machine got damaged in an unfortunate accident and has a small but annoying scratch on it, Entirely my fault, but this does mean it's time to buy a panel sooner rather than later. I was initially going to order https://www.panelook.com/B173ZAN06.C_AUO_17.3_LCM_overview_60027.html the 4k 144hz HDR1000 compliant panel from aliexpress but they have dissappeared I have found sellers selling https://www.panelook.com/B173ZAN03.3_AUO_17.3_LCM_overview_45254.html wich is 4k 120HZ no HDR but I can deal with that for a reasonable price. I think someone here is already running one of these as-well so It should just be a drop in and go Portable Desktop Killer: P870TM-G Core I7 - 9900K, RTX 2080 Super, 128GB DDR4 3200Mhz, 120Hz WQHD
Maro97
B173ZAN06.C is the best laptop led until this moment it's faster than B173ZAN03.3 it's 3ms G to G but B173ZAN03.3 120hz 4k is 8ms G to G and the color accuracy is best than 120hz led ..... i advice to buy B173ZAN06.C you can find it on ebay. dont forget to buy a 0.4 (signal interface pin pitch) 40 pin cable if you buy B173ZAN06.C but if you buy B173ZAN03.3 you will use 0.5m ( signal interface pin pitch) 40 pin cable 30cm length.. Perhaps for places that ship to EU or America but I can't find any that ship to Australia so I am probably going to go to the other one. Can you link a cable to use with the B173ZAN03.3 I would also like to know if there are any tear down guides for the Panel enclosure as I've never had to take it apart. crz
@runix18 thank you, in this case, this card can probably work completely correctly only at x170km, I'm a little surprised that even a similar SM model has problems in this regard.

The 15W bosst wont work because of missing GPU ACPI tables in Bios. Gsync is in the same boat due to missing specific Gsync cookies in bios (to validate the CPU + Display + GPU combo). If we can hope that someone skillfull enough will port from the KM bios what is necesary for a SM to have the same validated KM parts (CPU + display + GPU), meaning injecting the corect microcodes for CPU compatibility + and porting the necesary code from the GPU modules. On the P870 we will never have gsync with 2000S and 3000 series because of missing compatibility with CPU in the Gsync cokies. crz
@runix18 Yes, I have already heard and know about the limitations associated with the lack of the necessary code part in the bios for the SM model. Unfortunately for the P870 everything is also going down the same road and it would be really nice to get the RTX 3-series GPUs working correctly as a result. I'm curious to see who will be the first to get this card. You can't push the price of the card down because it doesn't come from Clevo. Smaller quantities etc... Secondly, the MXM pins are not all the same as on Clevo. A display cannot be switched on and various other pins are different. The 3.3V supply is also slightly different. So it's all a bit more work and only a test will show what works :-) Someone can send me the card for testing:-) Greetz from Germany
