I haven't tested these ssd to mxm adapters yet, but I talked to the person who develops them. As I wrote earlier, he only has a few test samples that he made at his own expense from a third-party printed circuit board manufacturer, and at the moment their cost is very high. The problem will be that it is almost only an interesting solution for people who had an SLI laptop and who want more than one added NVME SSD as there is already a single NVME version out there. I always thought it was a bad use of board space to have only one NVME drive on a big MXM module!

For the B173HAN05.1 to work you will only need a P775 4k edp cable 0.5 pitch, 6-43-p7751-020-1L, because B173HAN05.1 has the EDP socket on the opposite side as the B173HAN03.1, so you will need a longer cable. The 4th fan was taken from some spare parts, it had no label on it. I presume that anything at 5v that fits fits. For TM you will need a 12v one. (there was a tread somewhere on old NBR archive about those). I guess it could make sense as a portable machine for people who have two of the watercoolers in two different places and they can then carry that thing between these places but I would prefer a laptop that does not depend on a watercooler to achieve decent performance. The X170 heatsink that is an improved conventional heatsink with added watercooling capabilitiy is a more universal design although it probably is just as heavy as this monster 🙂

Both with 200W vBios give around 11,7K TimeSpy graphics… Yeah, but the 2080 Super was a lot cheaper than the regular 2080 in my scenario. Also, was there any 200w vBIOS found to work with the non-Super Clevo 2080? I remember reading on the old forums that some people used the AW 51m vBIOS, but I could have swore seeing a post or picture from Prema saying long term it can wreak havoc on the Clevo cards.
