wonder. Dunno about Dreamcolor cable, but while I was figuring out pin outs, I learnt there are at least two ways to drive brightness control in eDP screens: using AUX channel or PWM output from board.
I think Aetina may not have it implemented, though. It is advertised for PC boards, no ?

So you're telling me, HP cards are superior in terms of eDP? My screen is pure-eDP, 120Hz, will all the RTX Turing from HP work?

@nforce4maxyou also said you got an RTX Turing card to work on your M6800 with eDP with an HP card. Which version? C, D?

Did anyone have any success in getting the Pascal generation working stable?  I see the best Maxwell for the 8750W is probably 965M "A" with the standard heatsink or 980M "B" with the 8770W sink. Can the architecture run on LVDS screens anything newer?  Plan to order the 980 most likely.

Yes, compact workstations only. So most probably the brightness control is not available because of that. Contacting the manufacturer wasn’t successful. If I’ll manage to repair the card (currently core is shorting during boot), then I’d look into the issue deeper.

Anyway, back to the topic. Is there a possibility to get a spare laptop from abroad? Just can wait to finally see that old beast with the new screen. Good luck with the search!
