  1. Man, that’s the top king 5090! And a great price too. Be about another +$1,100 more USD HERE FOR SURE. Great price. I just finished my build, I’m doing another leak test real quick just to be 100% certain this thing doesn’t leak. I got lazy and threw the flow meter, and filter on one single tube lol. It works! (Temporary coolant is distilled water+some primo chill mix stuff) (Gonna run for a bit, drain flush, then add Koolance 702 as permanent coolant) Time to add some distilled/pre treatment mix to circulate for a bit, then I will flush and add the permanent coolant after 24 hours running. I’m doing everything I can up front to make it ready for my future neglect. 😃
  2. FedEx showed up, but no 5090’s on the truck. Looked like an unmarked delivery van. Dang…Not looking good. EDIT: FedEx truck came back!!!
  3. The Aorus models are “Slightly nicer” than the Gigabyte models. Even though both are Gigabyte. It looks very nice to me though. I love those 3x8 pin power connectors. Great looking GPU! Are you building this in a case right?
  4. I honestly thought this was the EVERYTHING PC THREAD. 😃
  5. That’s IMGBB.com for you. They love to throw random adds in your IMG links so when you paste your IMG links to paste on forum, they randomly have an add link in it lol. I just need the 5090FE, and I can fire this thing up. THEY UNLOCKED VRAM ON RTX 50 series!!! @electrosoft try this on your 5080! https://videocardz.com/newz/msi-afterburner-patch-unlocks-gddr7-memory-overclocking-up-to-36-gbps-on-rtx-5080
  6. I have a drain valve installed!!! YAY!!! Leak testing the whole system now. anne bradstreet biography
  7. This is all tubing and bends done for now. At least until I water-cool the 5090. Just need to mark and cut to add in the flow meter, and filter, drain. Then I’ll just do two cuts and add each item in. All pipes are finally done. And this is how my bevels tubing looks on my cuts and finished tube ends that go in to each fitting. Hardline tubing is very fun to build! It looks awesome! It’s not like regular tubing, you can leak or blow a tube off a fitting during pressure testing if you take short cuts on the tube finishing process. 😃 Flow order is: Dual D5 Distro out/CPU in/CPU out/VRM in/VRM out/ top rad in/ top rad out/ Basement dual D5 in/ basement dual D5 out/ basement rad in/ basement rad out/ distro reservoir in. free picture upload
  8. I ordered the very last parts for my build to get it going with the 5090 FE on Monday. (1) Bitspower chrome G1/4 filter (2) Corsair G1/4 ball T (3) Corsair G1/4 Drain valve (4) White RGB 5v splitter (This way I can hook up all of my minimalistic RGB devices) (5) HD Audio 9 pin 2 in to 1 adapter. (My case has two headers for motherboard audio, since it’s meant for dual systems. I want both hooked up so all inputs on front panel I/O work) I never built loops with drains. But I’m doing it for the massive behemoth of a case. I won’t be able to move it. And with a colored fluid I’ll want to change it frequently.
  9. So these two guys thought I was a scammer apparently so I’m gifting an RTX 3060 12GB to this guy. I’m only doing this because my son is getting upgraded to an RTX 3090FE anyways. HUGE upgrade for him, and giving the RTX 3060 12GB really passes along the good will. I feel terrible for this “Nanoscale” guy because he was recently scammed by one of those RTX 4090 FS threads that you are referring to. It’s very unfortunate. This is the thread I’m taking about. https://www.overclock.net/threads/wtb-budget-gaming-gpu-gtx-1080-fe-1080-ti-fe-rtx-2060-2070-2080-super-intel-arc-b580-a770-rx-6700-xt-6750xt-6800-xt.1815301/?post_id=29440835#post-29440835
  10. They did think I was a scammer. Great point. And I typically do want PayPal F&F. ALWAYS. lol. After I sold the GPU and accepted payment from someone else, they were reaching out to me trying to see if I’d accept a PayPal F&F payment on a GPU that was already marked sold. (two different people did this) I think they were just playing with me or something at that point. I’d never do that.
  11. Well, this generation is probably one of the few where not upgrading is the smart move. If it wouldn’t had been for Nvidia handing me a 5090 through their gamer priority access which is already too high at $1999. I had completely given up on the concept of upgrading and was going to be content with my 4090. Hopefully you find a 5090 for a better deal than here in the USA though. Everything is seriously overpriced EVERYTHING. Intel ARC B580’s are selling for $350+ maybe even $400. I listed my Intel B580 Steel Legend OC and originally started at $200 dollars shipped. Minimal interest, and then I bumped it to $250 and sold it right away after changing the price.
  12. That’s not that bad then. Are you going to sell your HOF?
  13. Was it one of those $1,000+ dollar routers in the Bundle 😂 Newegg comes up with some crazy bundles. Typically items that are really expensive and aren’t the fastest selling items and such. But, they must take in a small fortune doing this at GPU launches. How much does it cost to buy a 5090 Astral in your country? Good news is, your 4090 HOF is worth a lot of cash if you were to sell that. I don’t even think you can find those anymore. I was searching high and low when I couldn’t find a 5090. I was thinking about buying a different RTX 4090 and settling down with it for the next couple years. I am 100% thinking about watercooling my 5090FE, I’ve already got the hardline build almost finished. It’s going to be some years before I can upgrade again. I hope I have all of my ROPs present on the 5090, and I hope the silicon is good. I have not owned a FE card since my RTX 2080Ti. I think the 5090 is probably fast enough to leave it stock and maybe undervolt. Are you swapping from the 9950X to a 9950X3D?
  14. Worth shunt modding my RTX 4090 mobile? Have you performed this mod on any laptops yet? 😃 I may give this a try for fun! I may definitely have to do this on my RTX 5090 FE as well if I want more than 600w.
  15. How does the RTX 5080 FE overclock? Are the temps comparable to bigger coolers? Isn’t that the same cooler the RTX 5090 FE has?
  16. So I think being an enthusiast increases your chances. Many of the people selected owned a RTX 4090, 4090 laptop, previously owned a 3090, 2080, 1080. Nvidia can see all of our hardware history and gaming activity. So, I truly believe Nvidia is selecting real hardware enthusiast lol.
  17. Let me know how the Apex X870 board is. Are these white or black? I definitely see why you got the 18” Raider now for sure though. 4090 Mobile is on point for the next few years. Your battery life and temps must be pretty good with the AMD chip. I’d love to have a AMD X3D laptop chip with RTX4090 Max Q! 🤤 PS: Someone made a poll of the Nvidia priority access. https://strawpoll.com/6QnMQ6J6kne/results
  18. Using my laptop unplugged right now. And you can squeeze some good BATTERY life on these things. I am at 74% battery, with estimated 3 hours and 45 minutes usage left. I set my unplugged max CPU usage to 99%, and doing so prevents the CPU from doing all that crazy turbo high frequency boosting it does normally. I cannot undervolt it, so doing this automatically undervolts it due to lower max clock speed. I have the RTX4090 turned on Auto, so it uses Optimus and runs on the iGPU built into the 14900HX. Open a game and the RTX 4090 kicks in automatically. So, Its actually very useable as a machine on battery only. This was one thing that my Clevo 15" with Intel i7 8086K+GTX1080 was NOT capable of whatsoever. It was always a dog that sucked a battery terribly. I know people pick on these BGA machines, but heres the thing. While older laptops use to be really cool. Desktop CPU's, and MXM higher power level GPU's. When I got my Clevo 15" it was a mere 1080P 120HZ panel, and that thing would get murdered in demanding games like RDR2 and other titles. This was in 2018 era only 1 year and 8 months after the GTX1080 desktop was launched. And my prior GTX1080 MXM was comparable to GTX1080 Desktop class GPU's with the 255 watt bios flashed on to it. Well, my current RTX 4090 laptop is not even a RTX4080 desktop equivalent, It is over 2 years old now since the launch of 4090 Mobile, and it absolutely smashes any game today at a higher resolution. So, while laptops have gone more in the direction of BGA, they are also extremely fast and much more useable as actual gaming machines today, than any prior DTR gaming laptop has EVER BEEN before! I hate to say it, but DANG! This Predator 18 Helios is a beast. The 4090 mobile with DLSS+ Frame Gen on 2560x1600 is literally overkill lol. The CPU is just as much overkill. It’s all BGA, and very good piece of equipment I think. I feel like the older real DTR laptops were so cool that they had real desktop chips etc.. But dang, when real world performance is this much better, lasting this much longer, I don’t think it matters.
  19. I think the biggest issue with the 5090 is AIB’s bought up all of the cores, and they are milking them out at a min inflated MSRP, and then Nvidia is pushing the business to business sales at a massive level beyond MSRP, this is because we are in a AI boom. Microsoft CoPilot, Deepseek, etc, all these companies want Nvidia GPU’s. This leaves a tiny piece for the gamer to buy an GPU from available inventory, and then scalpers take of 98% of that already small pie. So Nvidia inventory is primarily ruined from scalpers I think.
  20. I also sent a reply to their automated email response after signing up in February. The one that says. “You have been signed up for 50 series notification etc” I replied the same day to that email, and said “I am a real gamer, I own a 4090 and need a 5090FE thank you” they sent me a direct buy link on 3/11. So something to try just saying lol.
  21. I was totally done with even wanting a RTX 5090 all together. Then this email rolls through. Im shocked they picked me. Anyways, $1,999 seems right for sure. These $3,000+ prices are just way too much money. So I agree with that 100%. The AIB companies need to ease up on the MSRP’s. I always thought of AIB cards as +$50 to +$250 more over the FE model at most. And looking at it today they are becoming the scalpers. Nvidia didn’t increase the price of the 5090FE. So I don’t understand why the AIB’s all increased the price before tariffs even hit. Makes me think it’s all fake and purely for profits and more money.
  22. I GOT IT!!!! RTX 5090FE on the way! Man, the support of this community and trust of this forum and also overclock.net is pure astounding. I was able to get the funds together and secure my order for a 5090FE at $1,999. Paying more than $1,999 is too much for me. This is very reasonable. Looking back now, I originally had a budget of $2,800 range. Anyways, I think Nvidia saw how much I was hating on them, and they sent the email to see if I’d still bend over for them 😂 (I did of course)
  23. I’n glad you were able to get one! That’s good that they sold out to actual people probably. What CPU are you using now? I considered building with one of these. I think it’s probably one of the most anticipated CPU’s right now, to me at least. It has the 9800X3D gaming power, and the 9950X beastly multithreaded power all in one. I’m glad AMD took their time releasing it, because I think they had some stability issues with the 7950X3D originally with memory, long training times etc, and just random instability.
  24. Anyone want a 5090FE? I got a priority access purchase link from Nvidia. I don’t have the funds to use it! lol. 😂 I may try to throw the funds together. 😬 it’s gonna be a hard PUSH to get it done. isd12
