I keep getting reeled in to the 5090 HUNT lol..I think I am done with trying to get one. I am wasting too much time on this. Just days in and out searching and refreshing and waiting lol. And then right when you think you got it, bots roll in and they crash a website completely. 🤣 This is literally the scummiest thing I have ever seen. Nvidia should move out of the doorway, and let some other company walk through and take things over. Because they just stand there and do nothing. This has been a legit paper launch. These new ways of GPU buying are ridiculous.

It feels like Newegg is a gimmick. All of their URLS are pre-loaded for bot ready. Once something pops in stock it’s bought and sold out. The MSI Store is probably the better option I think. MSI store forces a captcha after like 15 minutes idle preventing bots. Unlike Newegg they just let people have a free for all. I feel like I’ve lost my enthusiasm for the 5090 lol.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II is fantastic!!! It’s a game I just dump hours in. The 4090 averages like 90fps with DLSS Quality+4K. It’s a smooth runner. It’s a pure raster game, but still needs a strong GPU for 4K experimental settings. Probably one of the best first person RPG games ever made I think. They learned a lot keep the fundamentals all the same, improving graphics a little, but the main thing is how well it’s optimized. A game where the GPU usage actually locks at 99% no matter the situation, at all times. I don’t know how they made it run so good. Because the first one from 7 years ago can’t even run this good. Still trying to find a 5090 if possible. These new prices are terrible though.

No love for the PS5 Pro? They look pretty good to me. But I haven’t owned a Sony since I was 12 years old, and that was a PS2 and GTA 3. I’ll never forget saving up the money to buy GTA3 at Toy’s R US, all they had was a used copy and the game was literally broken. 😞 the disc was damaged and you could only play to the part of “My hands are all Messed up so you better you drive brotha” 😂

Well, we’ll be playing KDC2 at least lol. Maybe I’ll pick up a PS5 Pro to play GTA 6. Or maybe I will grab a PS8 by the time this game actually launches😂

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 launches tomorrow everyone!!!!! I have been waiting 7 years for this one. I just read a performance review of the game completely maxed out, and let’s just say the RTX4090 is strong to the BONE 💪 (I only saw a 4080 Super in the performance review, but based on what that thing does with no scaling and no frame gen, running 4K experimental graphics detail, the 4090 will CRUSH this title in 4K 😃 I figured this would be the case. This was really the main reason why I wanted a 5090 first and foremost and for future titles like GTA 6. But now I really kind of don’t care too much lol. The 4090 is still the ultimate in GPU power. I'm tempted to use some of my saved funds to finish my V3000+ case build and throw my 4090 on water cooling and just be done with the whole thing.

I was not able to get one. But I’m becoming more patient as each day goes by, I’ve gotten over being mad and now just accept it for what it is like @electrosoft. I spent all of 01/30 searching high and low, I looked a little on 01/31 but didn’t take it seriously knowing they were all gone at that point by bots and scalpers. But now I accept that it’s probably going to be March/April before I can probably get one possibly June to be able to easily buy one at MSRP. I feel like Nvidia could do so much better, and their blatant stupidness to ask gamers how their DLSS4 experience was is absolutely laughable.

Crazy that we have to win to even be able to buy a 5090 at all lol. Man, the brain washing goes kinda deep. I see some manufactures replacing their “Out of Stock” button with a “Enter Drawing” lol. I would be over the moon to win such a prize 😂 “I’m being completely serious”

The reason why Newegg has all of these 3090's and 4090's is because they are heavily pushing the Newegg Trade-in program. Offering people $1,350 dollars for any working RTX4090 is not a bad deal. Newegg then turns around and sells these as "Refurbished" for $1,599-$1,799 range depending on the model. This is a way to feel the void for those that never had a 4090, and after nearly 3 years they can own one for MSRP! 🤣 It really feels like the 5090 was not ready at all to launch. Nvidia should have just waited until March. I do not know why they are so desperate to release a product that is not even real. I thought it was funny that they posted on Reddit asking gamers "How their DLSS4 gaming experience was?" when no one actually had a GPU 🤣 AMD waited on the 9070XT, and I think I can see why now. Maybe they are making a ton of them so everyone can buy one.

You can see in HWinfo what the effective clock is. I’ll see what it is tomorrow. I remember checking my 3090 for clock stretching, and it was always so small. Card may say 2,715 and it’s effective is really 2,670 or something like that. VS running 1.100V and it says its running 2,715, and the effective is 2,700.

New discovery here with my RTX 4090 and I am super impressed by this, I started doing some investigation with my 4090 with power consumption. And this thing undervolts like crazy! I can do a standard +175Mhz on the core offset, then I can open the graph on the 0.950v mark and add another +30Mhz for a total of +205 on 0.950mv. This creates an effective 2,715Mhz boost at only 0.950mv, and the card uses exactly 125 less watts of power. So, it goes from around 440 watts in my game at default 1.050v 2,715Mhz, to around 315 watts of power at 0.950mv and the same 2,715Mhz boost. This is seriously amazing! This 125-watt reduction is only going from 1.050v to 0.950mv so, if someone is running the voltage slider at 100% in MSI AB and pushing 1.100v they would only lose -50Mhz in Core boost (Assuming they're at +0 offset on the core) while also reduce the power by 165 watts of power. 🤯 @Mr. Fox maybe give this a try, its very impressive! I have never tried to undervolt this GPU at all before, so this is my first thing looking into this. But seeing such results are insane to say the least. I am still trying to buy a 5090 lol. But dang, the 4090 is such a strong GPU. I have never seen such large power number drop offs from undervolting a GPU before, I remember undervolting my 3090KP and it definitely was not this drastic. (1) 4090 with 100% voltage slider runs 2,775Mhz@1.100V and 480 watts in Sniper Elite 6 (2)4090 with 0% voltage slider runs 2,715Mhz@1.050V at 440 watts in Sniper Elite 6 (3) 4090 undervolted runs 2,715Mhz@0.950V at 315 watts in Sniper Elite 6

@electrosoft When does BestBuy usually re-up lol? You think there will be more tonight or in the morning? I keep hearing 02/06. But hoping maybe we can find some more before then. I registered with BH Photo notifications on 01/16, and I have not heard anything as of yet. This has been a crazy paper launch if I have ever seen one, I was poor during RTX3000 Series launch, and also poor during RTX4000 Series launch lol. I was here for the 4080 Super launch, and we had plenty of inventory which was surprising for a $999 GPU that was faster than the 4080. I really thought we would have plenty of cards for everyone this go around, retailers have learned more, gotten smarter to avoid bots and all of that stuff, I would hope supply chains have improved as well.. Nvidia never even offered to sell theirs on the Nvidia Store website. BestBuy is broken, and Newegg never even came in-stock for me 🥺. It seems like there was (20) 5080's for every (1) 5090. This makes me think what most are saying and that's just really poor yields and low quantities. Unless they are all going to China maybe. I think they also sent 40% of the available 5090's to YouTube Channels lol.

I think all of the 5090's were sold to Europe. Why sell a card in the USA, when you can sell it in Germany for much more money.

@Mr. Fox Check this really cool spread sheet out comparing the 4090 and 5080 performance. The 4090 gaps this thing. Take a look at the Minecraft DXR performance. now the 5080 is really power efficient. But, the 4090 can be as well. It is surprising what the 4090 can do when we gimp it to 350 watts with less voltage. Practically no loss in performance. This reduced power consumption already occurred on some models limited to 1.070v. RTX 4090 RTX 5080

The 4090 is still way faster than a 5080. Not to mention 50% less VRAM. I don’t think value on 4090’s will change much. I have a techpowerup spread sheet of all games tested in 1080/1440P/2160P Max/Avg/Min. And the 4090 gaps the 5080 extremely well.
