I’m with you on that one. I feel the moment inching closer when I launch newly released game that I love to play, and it brings my 3090 to its knees so bad, I’m forced to replace it lol. That will probably be the moment I break down and order a 4090. -

Those force ratings are a worthless prediction tool. I cannot believe I actually had faith in this tool at one point in time. Lower is definitely not better. -

I think they have to locate and find their own chips. CEN is still buying chips up hunting for a record breaker. -

well we cannot even go by percentage of top chips on that graph though. Because Igor’s Global SP110-111 (K) was better than global SP116 (KS) The thing is, you’ve gotta test the chip and see the VID’s. 13900K and 13900KS are all over the place, especially KS. P-SP125 KS with worse VID’s than a P-SP119 13900K makes no sense to me. -

Igor’s lab determined that 13900KS SP is not equivalent to 13900K SP rating. And a higher SP 13900KS is actually a weaker overclocker vs a lower SP 13900K. I believe he said a P-SP126 13900KS is equivalent to a P-SP120 13900K. So, it’s backwards!!! Lower SP 13900K=. Better than higher SP13900KS… Strange. 😳 https://www.igorslab.de/en/the-last-and-fastest-of-their-kind-intel-13th-gen-raptor-lake-binning-part-3-i9-13900ks/4/ -

@electrosoft I really love this CPU. It is a wicked beast man. I have been tempted by some really high SP 13900KS chips, or maybe even binning a couple of them but a lot of their VID's are pure crap! For example, I know of a P-SP125 which sounds utterly ridiculous. However, its 5.8Ghz Vf is like 1.398V. (My 5.8Ghz VID is 1.364) I have seen quite a few like this. But then I see just a couple here and there with really low VID's drastically better than my measly P-SP121 lol (Not an abundance of them though). But I have determined it is a gamble with the 13900KS and I'm not really sure why it's like this. Chances are a P-SP120 13900K will beat out P-SP120 13900KS lol. It's really interesting this time around for the KS variant. I say this because, you can go out and buy a binned 13900KS, but then see the actual VF Curve for each frequency and it does not add up at all. The 13900K seemed to be much more consistent, while the 13900KS is just all over the place. Plenty of high P-SP 13900KS chips out there, but only a fraction of those chips have VID's that match accordingly and make it worth exploring their overclocking potential. This is my 13900K at 6.1Ghz. I allow the (2) best cores to run at 6.3Ghz. Some Battlefield 2042 at 6.1Ghz lol. It's actually stable for daily usage. PS: Still running @Mr. Fox Z690 Unify-X. This motherboard has been extremely reliable for me! I do not know why in the heck MSI did not launch a Z790 Unify-X, they would be killing it right now with something slightly less expensive to compete. We pretty much have (2) choices and both involve getting bent over lol. Apex 790, and Dark 790. -

Anyone have a Microcenter near them, they could see about maybe buying a Asus Z790 Hero and I could buy it from them and pay shipping.?😞 I cannot find one that is reasonably priced at all. They are all $775-$1,000 USD online and then taxes and shipping on top of that. The scalper industry is just so sad right now. -

13900KS is only $699.99 MSRP. I think it’s like $60 more dollars. -

13900KS is in stock on Newegg. $729. They are scalping it for some reason lol. 13900KS is really only $699.99 MSRP. @Talon is probably playing with his right now. I’m curious to know how it comes out. Anxiously waiting numbers. -

Yeah this has been a really fun CPU. I am genuinely shocked that I have the (16) E-Cores R23 stable at 4.8Ghz. That is madness. -

This SP121 P-Core 13900K is a BEAST in the EAST chopping down a very respectable 45,200 in R23 lol. My water is not even that cold. Maybe 17-18C. This chip is really good. -

Koolance QD3 Quick release fittings. Well worth the money!!! I wish I would have ran these sooner. I’m getting more of these for sure! They are just amazing. -

I am wondering if it’s gonna be like the 12900KS. Lower SP 12900KS was actually better than higher SP 12900K. I’ll say the VID’s don’t look very good on it though compared to my SP121 P-Core. I’m sure Intel test these chips for other abilities and not just SP rating alone. They could scale really well for all we know. I know the 12900KS had a +300Mhz all core boost over the 12900K. That’s huge! But the 13900KS only has a +100Mhz boost over the 13900K. I believe they launch on January 3rd. Who’s buying one? I think they’ll be awesome because you’re guaranteed at least a better bin. And it’ll clock good enough. SP115+ P-Cores is definitely no slouch. That’s an extremely good 13900K. -

It is definitely an improvement. Average P-Core SP for 13900K was only like SP106. Now we don’t know if that 13900KS is average or maybe it’s below average. We’ll have to wait and see. But at least you are guaranteed a better chip with the 13900KS. -

Someone has a 13900KS on overclock forums. They posted screenshots and SP ratings. The 13900KS runs 5.6Ghz all cores, and it will boost (2) cores to 6.0Ghz. The chip has an overall SP rating of SP105, and a P-Core SP of 115, and a E-Core SP of SP85. Either way, SP115 P-Cores is definitely far above the average for what the normal 13900K is. -

I finally ordered some Koolance quick release fittings! I’m so excited to get them. I went with the male G1/4 quick release models that screw right in to the water block directly. And also the female 10/16 compression style will go right on my tubing. So they will hook up kinda like an impact gun, and an air hose lol. I ordered these for my Supercool direct die waterblock. I’ll be able to quickly remove it without much effort. I’m gonna add some to my GPU next, then my radiator, then my chiller, and even my water pumps lol. I figure it would be so nice to quickly be able to remove tubes and components without draining any water. It is expensive for (4) fittings which will cover only (1) component. -

I want to live somewhere like that! Me and my wife both work from home, so it’s definitely possible. Especially when our kids get a little older. They are still only like 10-11 Y/O. The weather and roads were like that one time near where I live now. But I’ve only seen it once or twice in my whole life. It’s so fun to see it, and drive on roads like that. -

Honestly, it has SP121 P-Cores and 6Ghz is too easy, so I may just try that out. Before going direct die, I could run 6.2-6.3-6.4 on the cores for gaming with E-Cores and HT still on. -

Silicon has come so far though, if we didn’t have E-Cores, everyone with 13900K would be around SP110 or higher. That overall SP is really brought down by that e-core sp. -

That’s what it looks like to me. My very first 13th gen that I pre-ordered was a 13900KF. It was a very good chip! I benched 6.0Ghz P-Cores with really cold water. It wasn’t stable but still, the chip was really good. I’m thinking SP116+ You can find good with either model though. But yes, slightly better chances with KF. -

Igor’s lab tested (500) 13900K/KF CPU’s for P/E core SP, and IMC SP ratings lol. It looks like Intel was clearly binning for 13900KS inside of the 13900K chips. The 13900KF bunch found numerous chips beyond an SP rating of SP105+ but in the 13900K bunch, that was not the case. Based on the 13900KS’s specs, It looks like they just select a SP103-SP105+ CPU to be the target chip. This is all speculation, but it makes sense. Of (132) tested 13900K CPU’s (2) SP110 was found (1) SP113 was found (1) SP114 was found (7) SP108 was found https://www.igorslab.de/en/intel-13th-gen-raptor-lake-binning-over-500-cpus-tested-part-1-i9-13900k-and-13900kf/ I have a 13900K SP110, but I didn’t realize it’s that difficult to find one, even in a pile of chips that dang large!! -
