It actually works. You can turn a chiller in to an extremely powerful A/C unit. Probably not ideal for cooling a house, but easily a large room. In any case I would use a big 12-15K BTU window unit for large area, and small 3-5K for all other small rooms in the home if I needed to work as good as central A/C.

You can hook up a Mora3 or Pora3 to a waterchiller set the water to the coldest temp, blast all of the 120MM fans at 2,000RPM+ and you can cool down a room pretty quickly!!! 🤣 that air coming off the radiator fans is so COLD. Not only is it colder than my vents in my house A/C but It blows equivalent to maybe 3-4 of them. I’m just joking here ^ but it absolutely works.

I wonder what would happen if you took apart the motherboards and revised their thermal pad/thermal paste/ heatsink mounting a little bit. Maybe even put one of those big Optimus Fujipoly pads on the entire backside of the motherboard VRM area. Or maybe some small little fans or something.

ohhhhhh!!!! That’s exactly why. I know I remember this now. Couple months back I was on the Newegg site when the Gen5 M.2’s were first dropping and I researched this and I came to the exact conclusion that you did. I’m not running X8 to my GPU. I forgot all about this 😂 One thing too though is, your 4090 on Gen5 at X8 is the same bandwidth as X16 Gen 4.0 which is what your Z690 Dark was providing I think 🤔 I’m not sure, I’d have to see that first hand though before I would run x8 4.0 or x8 5.0 to my GPU, just to have a monstrously fast M.2 Anyways, how is the Z790 Apex? Is it solid? Working well for you?

Is this Plague tale built in benchmark? I haven’t played that game much at all. Maybe 30 minutes about a year ago, and got too busy to enjoy it. I’ll try it again.

Nice M.2! But I am almost certain my current drive is capable of the same speeds when it was fresh and empty the last time I ran a disk benchmark 🤷‍♂️. I believe it’s 7100/6800. I have two of those Corsair M600 Pro XT Hydro’s. I was thinking those Gen 5’s do like 10K+ no?

Yes I would love to do a mini ITX build, I may or may not go that route. For now it’s gonna be just air cooled or AIO. I absolutely prefer the performance and power usage of a KS over a regular K. Man I can only hope they do come in stock. The KS has always been tricky to find, I don’t even think Best Buy sold them. KS is really so much better than the normal K, and that’s not said enough even in the reviews. 🙂

You have a 3090Ti KP? Those GPU’s are excellent! My 3090KP is an utter beast for 4K gaming. It does it all.

I’d like to buy a brand new one, or non delidded one. It’s gonna run on an AIO for now. I have heard a shipment of new retail KS are coming in-stock next week, apparently the stock in China/ and Malaysia has already replenished. I didn’t think Intel was shipping anymore, but I guess they are 🤷‍♂️

Oh that’s awesome man, I don’t really care about the SP though. I’ll take any KS. They’re just really hard to find at a price within reason and I do not want a standard K chip, I’m just building a second PC for my kids, I think they are finally old enough “Living room AKA everyone PC” All of the KS chips I have tested are flipping amazing! SP104’s or the SP117’s.

That’s the same batch as mine the (A04) you shouldn’t have any problems with it. The installed bios is 0812. I upgraded to 0904 a while back and it has been absolutely solid everyday for work. I’m extremely curious to hear how this turns out! I said a quick prayer for you and your experience🤣

It is absolutely worth it, I’m really surprised you even bought one 🤯. She is all function and performance though. I know I was worried with mine because the Z690 Apex was not a very good performer over the Unify-X. It worked and looked really really cool while doing it. Out of curiosity when was your new apex made?

The Z790 Apex is absolutely amazing! Mine is so consistent and has been since day 1! Many others have the same consistency. I was worried going in to it. But it worked out 100%.

This is the 4K flex that @electrosoft is referring to! It still runs (The Last Of Us ) very very smoothly though! And the game is absolutely maxed out, with Quality DLSS. It’s really pretty impressive.

Is your laptop a 4K display? These panels are great for work! You can really do so much. But for gaming, I wouldn’t mess with it. I would probably just run 1920x1080 for best performance.

This 3090 Kingpin is an absolute power house for sure. The loss when running 4K is very minimal. I’m going to demonstrate (The Last Of Us) next. My frame rate at when running 2560x1440P and then now 3840x2160 almost doesn’t make sense. Desktops are much more powerful than laptops. My system would do some serious damage against even a MSI GT77 Titan RTX4090 Laptop which is a $5,000 dollar machine. 🙂 I almost bought one, but I convinced my self otherwise. I will eventually upgrade to a RTX4090 desktop, or a RTX4090 Super. Especially with the release of StarField approaching in September of 2023 🤯🤯🤯. Unless it runs smoothly on my 3090 Kingpin.

Playing RDR2@4K (Slight performance loss due to recording with the RTX3090, actual FPS will be higher) Later in the video I do enable the 8XMSAA Reflection AA, Tree Tessellation, and the overkill water physics at 100%! Then I travel to the most demanding map in the game, Strawberry.

@Mr. Fox The V-Color Manta 8200c38 (2x24GB) kit has arrived. The person who sent me these said they can run 8800. I’m not so sure my IMC can though haha (I have no idea honestly). We will see! I will give them a good test over the weekend. I am pretty much selling parts for a guy, because he’s not a very trust worthy person on the forums. I believe he’s burned a few people, so I’m selling the memory for him. (I’ll give it a good test first) but he’s sent me numerous CPU’s in the past to fix SMD’s on or delid, or test etc. This is the same guy you mentioned once who sold you a 10900K that died I believe. 🙂 But you would essentially be able to buy the fastest commercially available DDR5 for really really cheap compared to their original eye watering $569 MSRP.

This 3090 Kingpin is just destroying 4K. I’ve got to put together some gameplay footage showing this off. My overclock, my windows, my forced rebar settings are performing phenomenally. I swear the loss in performance from 2560x1440P to 3840x2160P is extremely minimal or not at all sometimes. It is really the strangest thing Maybe it’s the 22% overclock to the GDDR6X, the core overclock, increased power limit. It all adds up I suppose. I was playing Halo Infinite maxed out and up-scaled to 8K with my son earlier in a Co-op campaign. Getting about 45FPS 😂

That’s really impressive!!! That’s like a stock 11900K/10900K multi performance.

@electrosoft Did you buy that 13900KS for $649? That thing had P-SP124 P-Cores, and E-SP 97 E-Cores. What an amazing deal. Surprised to see it wasn’t delidded already.
