You’ve got a good IMC for sure. I guess that also translates to DDR5 as well? You may just need some Hynix A-Die for full potential. But this cpu alone will probably give you a little more head room with your really good Hynix M die ram. -

Windows 11 is killing my R23 numbers. I have gotten 5.9Ghz all P-Cores stable with reasonable power levels about 350 watts or so. But, my score numbers are low.. Only 43K+ My updated windows 10 OS was so much faster. This Windows 11 OS is just terrible with benching for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve got the chip, I’ve got the cooling, but my OS is a garbage bloated turd… 5.9 all P-Cores is FAST btw. Bios voltage is only 1.330V!!!! I’m starting to believe I do have a great chip. The simple fact that I can run R23 at 5.9. I believe the new cold plate is what has done all of this and made this possible. That last one was extremely clogged up. -

It would be cool if every time a new launch came, we could all get a pallet of (100) samples to test from and keep the best few! We send the rest of the duds back with a note that says “TO INTEL: Try harder next time” One thing I learned is, if all CPU’s were golden we wouldn’t know what a dud was. And then it wouldn’t be exciting at all if we got a great sample. -

Hey, now Corsair and others needs to release a “Fire extinguisher for ATX cases” it’ll be sold as an accessory with included mounting, and it has 120/140 mounting holes. It can bolt on the back 120 slot of a case for quick access just in case your RTX4090 catches fire. Miniature fire extinguisher. -

@electrosoft More MSI FORCE2 results and SP rating. I feel like the force rating is not very consistent so far. @Papusan I believe the Molex spec for a single 8 pin is 324 watts. But due to crap PSU’s existing in the world, the ATX spec for a 8 pin pci cable is 150 watts. -

They should’ve just done (3) 8pin pci-e plug style on the 4090’s, I imagine it would have been okay right? I’ve pulled over 800+ watts with furmark for no other reason than just to see how high the power usage can go. My plugs are bent kind sideways too. No issues at all. -

I’m really happy with my 13900KF. I think its a keeper for sure. I’m really glad I upgraded. Massive improvement over the 11900K. Looking at how these compare to 12th Gen it is just amazing! PS: DDR5 7200 will be here tomorrow Hynix A die. @Mr. Fox Delidding your 12900KS only builds that confidence for the 13900K delid. I think 6Ghz all core is very doable once delidded. Anyways, no matter how many times we’ve delidded, after that 11900K incident yeah I’d be nervous about Delidding too, I tore my 1st 11900K up pretty bad ripped of (16) small SMD’s. Confidence is put in check real quick after something like that with these small fragile components. But, I’m very glad it was successful on your 12900KS. Did you heat it up first? Or just pop the IHS cold? Maybe you did too many good delids, and with the 11900K you’re like pshhhh walk in the park, I got this, delid # 398 coming right up, easy peasy lemon squeezy, I can do this with eyes closed, one hand tied behind back, “Crunch” oops. 😄 -

I feel like this chip is a real G for sure. I’m testing: 5.7Ghz P-Cores 4.5Ghz E-Cores 4.7Ghz Ring 1.245V set in bios. Water chiller is off, yep warm water with fans! 294 watts Cinebench R23. Hwinfo Max VID is 1.238V Hwinfo Min VID is 1.199V Update: I can run 5.8Ghz on just my radiator and fans now and normal water. That new Optimus Signature cold plate has somehow reduced temps by 10C+. I am shocked. My core temps are 78-88c with no chiller at all. 😎 If I delidded this CPU, I would probably get down in the 60’s. The truth is, I don’t need to. NO CHILLER! -

I dodged a bullet tonight LOL. So, I had a spare Cold plate for my Optimus Signature V2 Nickel waterblock. And we know how restrictive these blocks are, they act as filters more than anything. I also had to install my watercooled Corsair 2TB M.2. Anyways, threw in the new Optimus PC cold plate fired up my rig. Started to bleed air out, and there was a PUDDLE are my CPU literally! fortunately I saw it and killed power. All from not using a large enough screw driver to tighten down the cold plate. I Torqued it down a little more with something larger, and now no more leaks! PS: The cold plate below was @Mr. Foxcold plate originally, and I have been running it for a long time now with no maintenance on just clear distilled with additives. I feel like I have added (2) extra D5’s my water pressure is through the roof! I will clean it, and it’ll go back in after this one clogs in about 1.5 years or so. This is a pic of the brand new cold plate. free image hosting free image hosting -

Yeah that’s a lot of juice. I haven’t ever seen power go that crazy yet on my system. P-Cores@5.8 E-Cores@4.7 Ring@ 5.1 Power is right at 330 watts running just R23 for a minute. I’m still tuning my chip trying to decide what profile I want to run. -

These chips have a great ring/cache though, mine is at x51 ring. Rocket lake would never let me go this high. And all at SUB 300 watts. I'm happy. This thing absolutely squashes my 11900K, if I could squeak by 18K with my 11900K in R23 it was a MIRACLE. -

5.8Ghz P-Cores 4.5Ghz E-Cores 4.7Ghz Ring/Cache Max Power= 303 watts. I remounted my CPU, re-set my bios as well. This was also a VERY OLD windows, that has been stacked on top of over and over. So I got that situated as well. Last but not least, I reduced the voltage down to 1.275V in the bios -

I reset my bios, and tried MSI FORCE2 again, I got a 132 three times in a row. I have seen some people with 150-160 on their FORCE2 rating. I’m just glad to see another brand offering some type of tool to check. Curious to hear @johnksss FORCE2 rating. PS: My chip is looking far better today for some weird reason! I am achieving some really good looking clocks with very low power numbers. -

Thats awesome. What you get for the money there, it is just a crazy good value. The Nexxxos 1080x45 performs great. Plus, that enclosure includes feet as well. I don’t have the enclosure. But I’ve been wanting to get one and move my radiator off from my test bench. Make sure you flush it out good, mine was full of crud when I first got it. Nothing crazy by any means, but a few small black specs you gotta really shake the heck out of it and flush a few times is all. -

I have some Sata ones laying around somewhere, I’ll switch over to them though. I thought these newer boards had really capable PWM headers though. This Unify-X is 24-36 watts 2-3 amps “Depending on the PWM location” for just one pwm plug. Some boards are upwards of 40 watts I believe. The pump PWM header is rated at 36 watts on the Unify-X. Anyways, that’s great you got a 13900K. Great CPU. Hopefully you’ve got a great sample coming! I re-mounted my CPU block, took my time this go around, turned off the water chiller, crossed my fingers, then prayed really hard, knocked on wood, then ran R23 LOL. It was still SUB 340 watts, just barely though. I’m only seeing about 7-8 watt difference with it on or off. I’m thinking the largest difference will be Delidding this monster and running a bare die. Temps right now with no chiller are hitting 95C on the hottest core during R23. -

Are you getting a random brand new untested 13900K? Or is it pre-binned? One more thing, this MSI Unify-X is a freaking beast. One of the best motherboards I have used in a long time. I don’t know where to start, working debug LED’s is one lol. But it even includes temp sensors as well for the water. Not to mention stability in general is really top notch so far. It’s even turning my fans at a faster RPM. Usually when I plug in (10) fans in to one single pwm plug the RPM’s were never the highest on EVGA motherboards. This board doesn’t care. I was really jumping the gun before even using it, looking at other options. When in reality this board is really amazing.
