  1. I would assume that it does have eDP but you could look around here on the forum for any examples where this card was paired with that display type or not.
  2. HP as the Aetina is fairly rare in the states and doesn't regularly appear on ebay. It shows as being Dell in gpu-z even though I've made no changes to the vbios.
  3. I have and hotswap works however expect an blue screen once in a while. The performance isn't great being pcie 1x at 2.0 but still handy for moving files on/off much older laptops while serving as extra storage. The adapter itself could be better when it comes to build quality.
  4. Someone here got 16gb modules working on an M6800 however the real issue is the cost as very few are going to pay around $200 a module just to hit 64gb.
  5. One of the M4800s I've bought had the 4940mx from factory and they do turn up with the 4930mx as well on eBay time to time however thermal performance isn't great but still tolerable.
  6. I have to wonder what features are going to be lost from this new generation forward, don't like clunk pads and non serviceable keyboards.
  7. Original unless the seller flashed it and didn't state it in the listing, bought it on eBay for around $200 give or take over a year ago.
  8. HP as that was the only cards I could find that were not too costly.
  9. Doesn't surprise me, they've done the whole skimpy pipes on low spec coolers bs as well which can really hurt cpu side.
  10. I've only come across horror stories of those adapters going bad killing boards and panels so r.i.p there. You would need the schematics and the tools to figure out what went wrong then fix it. Hopefully if you are in luck not too much got shorted.
  11. When it comes to heatsink one could get lucky provided the screw mounts are the same otherwise be ready to spend more ontop of buying the card.
  12. For that kind of money one may as well just get an RTX 5000 just to be done with it. $1200 is just dumb and I would move on to another project.
  13. M6700 has the option of using either as there is a connector for both so panel swapping is much better than on the M6800 for example.
  14. The WX7100 works in this model with the 120hz panel just fine as I've daily used this setup for about two years before upgrading to an M6800 reusing the same card with that machine as it was also edp. W7170M and the WX7100 from the 7710 and 7720 work almost flawlessly with the exception of the W7170M being thicker.
  15. Yes I am using the HP version, I typically avoid LVDS models but have bought some by mistake over the years. Might work but I am not expecting it to work in this case. The card works really well with EDP M6800 that much I can vouch for and the same is very likely true for the M6700 with an edp panel.
  16. The first gen RTX series works with EDP and had zero issues with my M6800 aside from needing to mod the heatsink so there is a chance it could work with your M6600. This card doesn't dump too much heat so it should be fine once everything is installed right.
  17. Dead OS and I guess a large majority of windows users that are still using 10 will probably continue once October comes and goes as there is no way society is going to switch over to 11 with broken updates being the norm.
  18. Supposedly a lot of popular detergents contain salt so that would have been more than enough to kill it so long there was any charge in the battery. Tried washing the board by hand in distilled water or under the tap then dry with forced air by chance?
  19. Some positives and some negatives, wish there were options regarding the keyboard and track pad. Lastly a lot of people would love for there to be a Ryzen version but nope.
  20. One of the more difficult lessons I've been learning over this past year is that when there isn't enough people some jobs get a lot harder especially when there is some dead weight involved.
  21. I guess this is meant for all those pointless meetings that could have been emails rather than for productive work which likewise has also been the fate of Thinkpads for good part of a decade now.
