Imho weight is the root of the problem. Why the hell manufacturers want to fight Thermodynamics by making these Mexican tortillas of laptops expecting them to dissipate 300w or more of heat generation???

That reminds me of Nightmare Creatures 😮

Quake 1 + Arcane Dimensions using Quakespasm-spiked sourceport. Turns out that you can also play the original campaign included in AD (besides a LOT of new maps/dimensions to enter at the hub of AD) with a new difficulty setting called 'Chaos 666' that randomizes the enemies while also taking advantage of the new content: weapons, powerups, upgrades, a lot of new enemies. It's like playing Q1 for the first time 😄😄 😄

that's an old screenshot from 3 years ago at least but I can tell you this: 1080p, all settings where at high, shadows medium, hairworks off (this setting is awfully demanding) and I remember that walking through streets of Novigrad, the marketplace and the square with Vivaldi's bank, with a lot of NPCs doing their things I had around 120 FPS average. And I also remember that Kaer Morhen was particularly demanding in comparison to other biomes, there I had around 110-115 FPS average, even though there were no NPCs strolling around. In every other location - a less demanding one -, let's say a forest, seashore, the woods in general I had 125-141 FPS. TBH W3 ran quite well but it was inconsistent as I remember in terms of performance v/s location. In fact, in that screenshot I had 141 FPS while walking through Novigrad with several NPCs behind my back doing their stuff, and I suppose in front somewhere in the draw distance. Edit: you know? I remember a setting in Nvidia control panel that was killing my framerate, it was Low Latency Mode, I not knowing what I was doing, and expecting who knows what, had that option in ultra, then turned it off. that setting alone ate at least 20 FPS.

I watched this a couple of days ago and I found it better than the first two in terms of character development, also by addressing more the drama. Don't get me wrong, Kingsman 1 and 2 are great, but this one felt more grounded and less eccentric (Like Sir Elton John roundhouse kicking a thug) or goofy.

I would repaste. I saw the same with mine after some months of use, in general factory applied TIM is not that good in terms of quality and application. This is my Geralt pondering over whether play Gwent or do some kind of mission about a girl.. can't remember.

you're welcome, also I must mention that I use Throttlestop 9.3, If I recall correctly, this version was the one that Unclewebb initially released to address the tweaking of Intel 11th gen. that's why some options that you have with 9.4.2 are not available to me, because Unclewebb kept implementing more options, but the point is, that some checkboxes that you might have available in FIVR miscellaneous options for example (V-Max, Ring down, TVB), won't affect the performance in our 9th gen CPUs. In my opinion, the stable version 9.2 was the most useful for us because that was the one released during the 9th gen (albeit with less options available than current releases for newer CPUs) . I only moved to 9.3 out of curiosity, but I still would be using 9.2 stable or the beta versions of that one (9.2.X) BTW your PROCHOT offset I would reduce it to 97 or 98 by setting 2 or 3 offset, I noticed with my laptop that if I pushed it according to Intel, to the Tjunction of 100°C instead of the 97°C by default according to HP, it will start to power throttle like crazy at PL1, so I personally would not recommend setting a PROCHOT of 100°C (0 offset) even though it is by design.
-
Unclewebb recommends (as far as I can remember) running Cinebench R20 to get an idea of how well your CPU is running with your config. I can see that your laptop is struggling with a PL1, on the other hand EDP other is not that relevant. I don't know how much restrictive is Lenovo, but at least HP lets me push this laptop a lot, in terms of limits imposed by the manufacturer through the software that controls your laptop performance, in my case Omen Gaming Hub in 'performance mode' This is my score: and these are my Throttlestop settings: Options: FIVR: Disable and lock turbo power limits: check Cache ratio: min 8 max 42 Miscellaneous: all unchecked Non turbo ratio: 25 Turbo ratio limits: 45,44,43,42,41,40 CPU Core: Offset Voltage: -0.250 mV IccMax: 255.75A CPU Cache: Offset Voltage: -0.125mV IccMax: 255.75A TPL window:

wait, before going into what should you buy, have you tried running DDU properly in safe mode? https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html and then try to get the driver with https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-nvcleanstall/

And I'll give you the original song: It's beyond me how this damnable song made it so far as getting a German farmgirl cover 🤣

Tried it for about 30 minutes, I felt that I was herding cats.

Everyone, its time to decide our brand!

Should SEO be considered for the offered options? or whatever, just pick a name that you like? -
What would you like to buy, but probably won't.

the nerd in me wants: a laptop with the beefiest and chonkiest CPU and GPU from current gen the bedroom musician in me wants: an Ibanez SR5005E bass guitar -
That is actually brilliant, and I do have unused coax running through the house 😄 😄 😄 really an interesting adapter with this MoCA protocol which I had no previous knowledge of. Thanks!
-
I read that the adapters have to be within the same circuit and same breaker as a requisite, but from there to randomly tripping the breakers, well that's another story and a quite interesting one. Thanks for the info on possible issues :D. It would be quite funny though to be trolled by a network device putting a household daily life to a stop 'Honey I can't wash laundry because the powerline adapters threw a fit again, gotta flip the breakers..' like a Malcolm in the Middle episode

I think I must be the laziest IT ever, because I barely have a Mitrastar HGU, the usual stuff that bundles switching, AP, routing, firewall, etc. and to cover the second floor a D-Link DAP 1325 repeater to extend the BSSID from the first floor. But! I have on my sights a couple of powerline adapters to have higher bandwidth on the second floor, replacing the DAP-1325. anybody with experience with powerline adapters? any good? yay or nay?
