    Hey guys, is it normal my keyboard is working half? I cleaned the ribbon cable but still the same Like jklm doesn't register and some other keys (It's not the ribbon cable! Just the keyboard acts strange)

    The GPU is a 60W variant. Might as well ask the seller for a 90W one lol. It passed passmark at 8900 points.

    Sus (M18X R2) if it works on M18X R2, it should work on Alienware 18 R1, I'll try that later once I get the RTX 3080 16GB MXMX work on M18X R2 🙂

    Alienware 18 R1 from 2013 with LVDS display and unlocked BIOS. Also does the RTX 3080 16GB MXM works on M18X R2?

    I tried 4060m, but couldn't detect the device It should be due to motherboard BIOS incompatibility I don't Hi. I'm gonna try RTX A3000 12GB MXM soon on my Alienware 18 R1, seller said it works on M18X R2. So it should theoretically work on AW 18. The TDP is 110W. Seller also told me that the 4050/4060 won't work because of motherboard's BIOS. It could either be ReBar and the interface you've mentioned. Also does the RTX 3080 from X-VSION work with M18X R2? Seller told me yes.

    Hi. For the GPU, you can get a RTX 3000 or 4000 as a GPU. It's better than two combined GTX 680M and with greater amounts of VRAM. I have one RTX 3000 available, if you want to get it, let me know. For the CPU you can go for a I7 3920XM with PTM7950 thermal pad for better overclock performance.

    Hello guys! I'm trying to get rid of my RTX 3000 MXM card, which is a RTX 2060 Laptop in terms of performance. It works great on my Alienware M18X R2 and my previously working M17X R4. You just need to do the Inf mod and doing some heatsink mods as well. I list it for 300€ (without shipping fees) + X bracket included. Anyone interested? Let me know!

    X-VSION seller told me that the RTX Ada won't work on M18X R2 and Alienware 18 due to the motherboard's BIOS. But RTX Ampere works (Quadro and GeForce) The BIOS should be modded differently. My hypothesis: Add ReBar maybe?

    I'm trying to install a RTX A3000 12GB MXM (GA104, 4096 CUDA, 12GB, better than RTX 3000) on AW 18 R1. I didn't receive the heatsink for it yet.

    Hello. It has a good battery, 15.5% tear and wear level. Dual GTX 680M so I suppose those are 100W heatsinks. 256GB SSD 1TB HDD Keyboard working 1080p 60Hz screen

    Hello. I flashed the unlocked A12 BIOS. It went well but the service tag was not the same one as mine. (unlocked has beefed specs service tag 5819F72) So I used the CH314A USB module to read from the SOIC8 chip and then did some hex editing by searching for the string "cn0". Now I have successfully changed the service tag to mine!

    To test the RTX A3000 further, I also purchased a very cheap and rare M18X R2 with an issue. It does the 1 beep at boot. Which means corrupted bios according to the forums and the net. I'll do the blind flash technic. If not successful, I'll do the CH314A flash technic but I don't have the backup files for it.

    Hello. The RTX A3000 12GB MXM card has been shipped thru FedEx! It'll arrive in the next 6 days if everything is going normal.

    Hello for mine, the fans, keyboard, diagnostic, charging, brightness work haha. I can trigger the error beeps by removing CPU, CMOS and RAM... So BIOS works I took apart the entire laptop and waiting for a new motherboard, got one at 120 USD.

    But that's one beeping! Not 2. I will try firstly to clear the CMOS then play with the RAM. If same 1 beep then I'll do the "blind flash". I remember some people bricking their laptop and NOT hearing the one beep, it just shut downs... No beeps, just power and shuts down...

    But what if this technic doesn't work? I need to use a CH314A programmer? But I don't have the BIOS and EC binary files... @DoenerBoy123has the files but he seems offline these days...
