    That's strange. Why does my 3060 work then? It's stupid to make the 3080 work on the AW18 because of the MXM slot's power limit. Maybe the card won't work because of the MXM port? Who knows X-vsion uses generic bios for their 3000 series. Like the 3060, 3070 and 3080.

    You need mod INF with NVCleanInstall. The drivers from X-VSION won't work. My bios is saved in Techpowerup recently. Search for RTX 3080 Laptop 16GB from X-Vsion

    If 3060 works then It should work. I don't want to swap everything. They use the same drivers.

    @sliderfra @therhor70 @ssj92 @janepa Here are the results for RTX 3060 12GB MXM with i7 4930MX at 4.1GHz Some reasons board does max 70W, instead of 80-90W! Tested on AW18 with 100W heatsink. Trimmed the fins to make it fit. Normal thermal paste, no PTM7950 6900-7000 on Timespy.

    Yeah I tested an old defective one. The keys that are working on the defective aren't working on my other keyboard. I don't know why, some of the keys are working again but seconds after I touch the keys, they stop working and the rest are working... External USB keyboard, all touches work. I bought a new keyboard for 87€, blue ribbon. I'll see. My AW18 R1 keyboard is still working.

    It's still good because there are no thermal throttles otherwise the score would be under 6000 if throttled!

    Why is keyboard half working guys? Also the speakers from the Alienware stopped working. Using SG or IGFX same results. Edit: Speakers are working again, problems with drivers. Keyboard is still glitching out on which keys should work... Maybe broken ribon cable... That what happens when you disassemble too much I guess

    What? I already modded the cooler to fit inside the laptop, it took me 3-4 hours of dremel. 87 is the max degree. It means it was averaging 75C during benchmarks. I think the GPU is really doing 115W. I think the 150W was coming from their MXM to PCIE adaptor. There's a resistor number 007.

    Got 24k in Fire Strike Standard. Max temp was 87C and max power was 118W.

    I got 9490 TimeSpy. CPU still low and the same despite doing 4.1GHz on two cores and 3.9GHz on two cores with ThrottleStop. I remember the A3000 did 4100-4200 lol

    I'll dump the bios later, as I remember it reads as a 115W bios on the control panel. Although, X-vsion sent me a screenshot of Timespy, they indeed got 11k with 150W. Why can't mine reach the 150W scores then?

    X-vsion said it was a 150W version. BIOS states 115W. They told me it's normal and software reports badly uh. I would like someone to test the RTX 3080 MXM on an Alienware too. I use the "GTX 1070 heatsink from eBay" + PTM9750. I modded the heatsink so bad because it won't fit + LCD cable won't clips. Max temps are 83-84C Got 9400 for GPU score after.

    Yes I had a programmer and thanks god it helped me save my AW18 that got bricked because of editing Short Turbo delay... Yes I have a backup of M18XR2. I'll wait to see if your friend one works.

    I think mine was running at 115W and not 150W. Weird. Your 2080 ran at 165W ?

    @ssj92 @therhor70 @sliderfra Hello. I got the RTX 3080M. Tested it. I got a score of 9300 scores on TimeSpy. What are your scores with the RTX 3080 MXM? I can't even close the laptop nor tighten 4/4 of the screws, very annoying...

    If I send you my M18X R2 BIOS dump, would you add it too? And in which source are you basing off to add rebar?

    Was the 4050 from X-VSION as well? So 4060M works on M4800/M6800 then? So it means it can work on M4700/M6700 damn... I bought an RTX 3060M 12GB and an RTX 3080M 16GB. It's going to come soon to my home finally. Testing on AW18 R1 and M18X R2

    I was asking him for the M18X R2. M17X R4 and M18X R2 are on the same generation too.

    @panda_zzzhello. Is that an X-VSION card? What the heck. On this same forum someone tested the 4060M and it wasn't even detected. Even X-Vsion themself told me it doesn't work

    Lol guys. It works. It was a BIOS problem. Glad I did a backup of my BIOS. Guys do not mess with Alienware 2011-2014 BIOSes! I'll use XTU for changing TDP. If you want a clean BIOS backup or an unlocked BIOS backup to unbrick your laptop using SOIC8 flash, private message me!
