  1. Yes that explains everything. The "similar" issues happened on Haswell (Core i 4th gen) on LVDS Optimus. HP RTX runs great but other brands such as PNY, ADLINK, X-VSION, etc are having a problem too. It's also a TDP problem. Sometimes you're stuck at 40W max sometimes it does power spikes, from 115W to 55W then 115W to 55W, etc... You should sell your adlink and buy the HP variant. Or just get the pure-eDP laptop (with only eDP as the LCD connector and no LVDS available).
  2. the RTX cards don't work in PEG in LVDS and not even in eDP on the M17X because of the MUX switches... Your RTX 3000 was a HP variant? They work very well on motherboard that supports both LVDS (Optimus) and eDP for some reasons. But outside HP Turing, I know that some other brands such as Aetina, PNY, ADLINK cards are having issues with LVDS based systems.

  4. Hello. I think your GPU is faulty, faulty IC? Faulty coils? To confirm that further, please try this GPU on another laptop, like a dell Precision m6700 (I have one for cheap) or the Precision 7710 and see if the results are the same as the R4 laptop. I could do 115W on the M18X R2 with an RTX 3080 no problem, the limit to performance was the Intel Optimus and the old MUX Switch... Was stuck at 60fps on some benchmarks...
  5. Yes that's the cheapest price you can find. I hope he adds some extra heatpipes
  6. Hello, I have 2 of these available CNC custom heatsinks with 4 heatpipes and copper plates. Compatible with the newest offset center RTX cards.
  7. Hello. I do have a few Maxwell MXM if you want. GTX 970M and 980M. Compatible with LVDS and eDP. One is a Clevo and one is a Dell.
  8. Hello. I got the i7 7820HQ Precision 7720 FHD version (same as 7710 but 7th gen core I) and I managed to use an RTX 4070 MXM-A with the backlight mod cable. No problem, drivers are plug and play with nvcleanstall. No ACPI problems, No thermal problems, just needed to modify the heatsink. You need to get a better heatsink for your eDP 7510 because it'll be weak for any RTX 4060/4070. These cards are compatible with 1440p displays and 4k too as long as they are eDP and compatible with your laptop. Yes I run the RTX MXM in discrete mode, on eDP. You can ask cicichen on ebay for a custom one.
  9. Impossible for me to do desoldering, I'll just get the 4940mx then
  10. He said it has better resistance and slightly better performance but mine had very bad heatpipes, they were in a rough shape. I found locally an i7 4900MQ I'll get that (100Mhz slower than the 4910MQ)
  11. PEG RTX 4080, 150W, Arctic MX-4 The heatsink performance: 83C max, throttles at second 25th out of 60 seconds. The main problem comes from the badly curved heatpipes, mostly the third heatpipe which probably cuts 50% of its performance easily. It's like a loss of 15-20W easily. Memory temps: 80C max Hotspot temps: 100C max No thermal throttles in heaven benchmark 4.0, lower FPS than the Clevo P570WM3 due to the CPU I guess, I use an i7 4700MQ and not the best i7 4940MX. No thermal throttles in userbenchmark GPU suite benchmarks, very good score. I think having better heatpipes without any big tends + PTM7950 could maybe handle 150W
  12. I thought he was trying to get a quick buck from me... I hope it has express shipping:)
  13. Yeah and I give up, I always get scammed man, CPU not work, heatsink doesn't fit with palmrest. The heatpipes look in bad shape EDIT: SELLER WILL GIVE ME A FREE NEW HEATPIPE V2!!!! But I need to wait like 3 weeks ... Yes, he said FREE
  14. Yeah and I give up, I always get scammed man, CPU does not work. The heatsink doesn't fit with palmrest but it works. The heatpipes look in bad shape, is that a beta version?? EDIT: SELLER WILL GIVE ME A FREE NEW HEATPIPE V2!!!! But I need to wait like 3 weeks ...
  15. The fins + heatpipe are like OEM, 1.8cm height, no problem on that. But it's strange??? The heatpipes curves are made by hand and not machine... 70€ gone for nothing
  16. The only way the palmrest can close it by removing the top left PCB for the sound system... . I even removed one metallic piece that was on its way but that didn't fix the issue. I even removed the 3mm thick thermal pad that was on the mobo
  17. I put RTX 4080 MXM on M6800 and it works (check userbenchmark for proof). No weird 40W TDP bug (maybe only happens on Alienware?). Yes 4080 displays in the main screen, eDP with backlight mod v1. The custom heatsink works, need to use PTM7950 for better performance. Sadly I can't close the lid with the heatsink installed...
  18. No, it's maybe the thickness of it but it's the same thickness as the OEM one, mmmh.
  19. I tested with everything, 1R8, 2R8. It doesn't like dual channel... Waited for nothing and 35€ gone 😞 The heatsink: max 83C core temp, stable TDP (no 40W TDP bug). 150W then 130W then 120W (because of thermal throttling). I didn't use PTM7950 yet and the fan area wasn't really open for intake. Sadly the palmrest won't close because of the heatsink....
  20. It doesn't fit when I put the palmrest....... Please help, I upgraded to an i7 4910mq, it doesn't work. There are 3 LEDS on the corner of the PC. 1 IS ON, 2ND IS BLINKING AND 3RD IS OFF. Edit: it's a RAM module error but after swapping to an i7 4700MQ, all the RAM (4/4) are recognized...
  21. Remove the CMOS battery, hold the power button for 30 seconds and then try again with the M6100.
  22. Yes they need a newer one and a better one... 4 heatpipes design if possible.
  23. That was for the RTX 4050/4060/4070 MXM type A. This cutting mod won't work on the offset center RTX cards.
