I keep the same me version (consumer) but disable it? The p870tm has me disabled and it's corporate
-
But the P870TM bios from Dsanke worked... If someone has the knowledge to know how this worked, let me know
-
Hello. I used this bios, it doesn't work with my CPU. 0511 and 0729 do not work. Laptop does 2 seconds power then shutdowns. The ME is newer than the CoffeTime patch but it's a consumer one and ME isn't disabled. For the P870TM one, it's the same version as the CoffeTime one and it's disabled.

Hello, I made a post about having the mutant CPU to work with P775TM1 but I'm losing video signal... I can hear the windows sound effects, the CPU is detected but no displays. When I insert back the original i7 8700 CPU, I get video output... I don't know what's wrong... I used CoffeeTime 0.99 to install the patches + EA revised microcodes. Funny thing, back then I accidentally flashed a P870TM bios from dsanke (idk how) and yes the mutant CPU worked and I also had video output.
-
Okay got news. I flashed successfully the modded BIOS with the latest EA microcodes. Laptop boots now! All I had to do was to install 2 more patches, remove SPD protection and also install the "Fix Clevo black screen boot when ME is disabled". Using CoffeTime 0.99 software. I have one other issue... The laptop boots fine with the original CPU, the GPU displays and stuffs. But when I add the modded CPU, nothing on screen, laptop boots to Windows and stuff but nothing on screen. Nothing on the BIOS too. Just no display. I put back the original CPU and I get display... Why the P870 bios allowed me to use both modded CPU and GPU at the same time? What did I miss again? I can no longer use the GPU because of the modded CPU with my modded XMG BIOS...

Okay. Sorry if I made another extra post in this forum. If your PC does the same thing as me after flashing with a modded BIOS. It's probably your PC isn't screwed yet. First reflash back the original backup using CH341A, flash the MX2564L73F (U16) chip. If you still get the same behaviour as before... For me, I had to test one by one the RAM. And the issue was coming from the RAM configuration... If that's not the case for you, try to FN +D + power then, to reset the cmos. It was working fine while flashing and then the new bios and old bios probably didn't like the actual ram configuration. Now that stick of RAM is working in another RAM slot... Weird Edit: the RAM trick doesn't work with the bios + modified microcodes... I used the latest XMG bios I upgraded too. I upgraded the EC and BIOS everything worked fine. Then I use the same newest bios + adding the new microcodes and nothing on the screen... We can't use the mutant CPUs on the P775TM1? It's a Z370 chipset board

Hello. I used CoffeeTime tool to make the use of the Xeon E-2286M on this laptop. I don't know why, but when I flashed the BIOS using meset, the laptop boots, the modded CPU works and the GPU work too but it reported as a P870TM BIOS with version 1.07.X I was like how is that possible? I saved the P775TM1 file and the name of the file was 1440BGA-P775TM1.bin. Maybe... because I had two instances of CoffeeTime 0.99 opened... (One had P870KM bios so I could copy off the microcodes and stuffs) And one had the p775tm bios I was editing... So I retry again with only one app open. Then I try to flash and... The pc doesn't work anymore. Nothing on the screen. Laptop does boot looping every 60 seconds. Keyboard lights up, fan 1 and 2 are spinning but nothing on the screen. With and without RAM, same issue. I tried to use my P775TM backup file I did back then, used a CH341A and flashed it to the U16 BIOS chip (next to the Chipset and RAM modules) and still, it does the same thing... EC isn't bricked, version is 1.05.03TR1 Please help.

Finally the new RTX MXM cards will work in our laptops!
SuperMG replied to SuperMG's topic in Components & Upgrades
Okay, news about the instructions. I tested the 1440p 120Hz HBR2 screen and it does the same result for the 4080/4090. I think the X-VSION VBIOS for these cards don't have the right eDP protocol... Meanwhile the 3080, 4050 and 4060 (same PCB and outputs as 4070), 4070 do work! Updated: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FCMs9ReCp5HWyfcnDeAVa-W8XfGSV67b/view?usp=drivesdk -
I upgraded it with a Xeon E5 1680 v2 and RTX 4090. It took me 4 weeks to find a laptop for sale... I even have a spare motherboard too. The DVI won't work anymore on RTX 4080/4090 GPUs. But 4070 works with DVI! Although it's not as fast as the 4090...
-
If I had PCIe 1.1 speed, I would have GTX 980M speed rather than a RTX 4090 speed. even the sensors are conflicting. Big offset for GPU and CPU cores (5-6 degrees difference).
-
It's probably your software doing bad reports. Ain't no way I'm getting good performance with a PCIe 4 card on "PCIe 2" X79 chipset can do both PCIE 2.0 and 3.0

Hello. The Xeon E-2286M worked on the P870 using the GitHub repo link. But the same CPU doesn't work on P775TM1. I used 0511 and 0711, still no post. green led blinks 2 times then it shuts.
-
Hello, did you test to hold the power button for more than 5s? Any lights? And then repress back as quickly as possible to see if power goes in? Did you try different GPUs on the eDP one? Did you try without the eDP cable attached? And use it with external monitor to see if it still does the issue.

That's what NVIDIA told me too. Then who makes the VBIOS? X-Vsion doesn't make them either. They are sourcing it somewhere else... Or it's just all lies and they are lazy to change the "display table parameters"
-
Either they lied to me or I have no idea. "Hello Den, Thank you for your patience. I have just received an answer for the engineers. This is what they've said: "We dont provide VBios files. We have never done VBIOS updates for any of our GPUs. We just dont do it on our cards because there has never been a reason to. Laptop GPUs are just like AIB (Add-In Board) desktop GPUs, any VBIOS updates created would be by the laptop manufacturer or the manufacturer of the card, not us." Thank you for your understanding! Have a nice day! Best regards, Ioana NVIDIA Customer Care"
-
I also emailed Nvidia about providing a modified VBIOS for the 4080 and 4090. I have their answers. They aren't the ones who make the VBIOSes. Like how?? Seriously that's what they told me despite telling them what I wanted. They told me to contact the manufacturer since they are the "ones" who make them. But X-Vsion isn't making any VBIOS oof
-
I forgot about that. You know they are sourcing the VBIOS or they are the ones who make and modify the VBIOS. You could have asked them if they could disable the "forcing 4G encoding". For example, X-VSION is so bad at VBIOSes. I wanted them to provide a DP/DP/HDMI/eDP vbios for the 4080/4090 but they can't. They said they aren't the ones who make them. Meanwhile ZRT have that but they don't even answer to my emails anymore...
-
Maybe the card came DOA? Also some X-VSION cards such as RTX 4060 were mentioned on this forum not working too. Meanwhile they worked for other users (on the same laptops)
-
Did you test this card inside an eDP MXM laptop? Maybe the results are different? Who knows. The RTX Quadro 3000 I have, has 4G decode enabled in the hardware, same for the X-VSION 4080/4090 and they suspiciously work!
-
And how broken it is? Also there are new BLACKWELL MXM CARDS coming soon FROM AETINA! https://www.adlinktech.com/Products/Embedded_Graphics/Graphics_Solutions/EGX-MXM-BW5000?Lang=en By removing the blur, we can see the type B cards are the same as the RTX Ampère and Ada from XVSION/ZRT. Center Offset as usual. No data for the pins layout. Probably has 0 backlight pins, so my backlight mod cable will work on these new cards. The cards have DP on all ports. I don't know if DP_D is eDP or just DP.

SuperMG replied to SuperMG's topic in Components & Upgrades
X-VSION and ZRT. I bought from X-VSION, I could have bought at ZRT but it's expensive. Your screen is HBR2. So that's good. I also bought one HBR2 screen 1440p 120Hz, I'll try it with 4080 and see. -
Hello that's interesting. Yes this could also fix the issue on the CLEVO X7200, dual PEG. We can finally use the slave GPUs at 100% of the power. So the best for this system would be a K3000M + Quadro RTX 5000. Also the X58 has more bandwidth than the M18XR1 intel Chipset. I'll give later the x7200 slave MXM port picture if anyone is interested.

Yes, it works on P570WM3, P870KM, Dell Precision 7720. So of course it'll work for you. Since you have an eDP system, it'll work easily. You have a 4k screen? You might have a HBR2 display so it'll work, just try. -
MXM RTX4090 Mobile is coming, Any possibility?
SuperMG replied to DevilAnGeL's topic in Components & Upgrades
Hello thanks for the answer. Are you connected with the manufacturer? Do they have vbios from ZRT? Because ZRT have a different display output order than X-VSION. -
Yes they can, it says on the first message of the forum on how that works. Kepler + Pascal/Turing. Ampère and Ada won't work due to drivers.
