Update: Added Jarrod's full review Quick facts from his review: The Lid is made out aluminum and but the rest of the laptop made out of plastic Advanced Optimus is supported G-SYNC is only available with the 1440p Panel and the 1080p 165Hz Panel. USB-C 4 is supported for the AMD version so thunderbolt devices can be used but had BSODs when he tried to use his E-GPU with it, The Intel version supports Thunderbolt 4 Overall its a improvement over the 2020 and 2021 models.

Lenovo's BIOS updates are pretty badm I havent updated mines in almost 2 years because most of their BIOS updates are either buggy or bricking your system. Anyways It sounds like your problem is a hardware issue since you did everything you could at a software level and with the GPU flickering while running timespy and stuttering while playing games among issues with the touchpad. You should return it and either exchange it for another unit or get a refund.

You can check out mid-range gaming laptops within your budget like the Lenovo Legion series, HP Omen, Dell G Series and others since you're going to be doing heavy 3D tasks. Since battery life will be factor a laptop with an AMD CPU would be a better choice than Intel laptops but Intel's CPU's perform better in productivity tasks especially 12th Gen ones and they often have a thunderbolt port. Its a lot of choices within your budget.

Its real, Rockstar/Take Two confirms the leak/hack and are taking down any videos that people uploaded of GTA VI's gameplay including the ones you've posted. I saw some of the videos yesterday, most likely its a pre-alpha build from years ago and also people said that the hacker got the source code too. Also it confirms female protagonist from the article What a disaster, I never heard of any AAA game company that allows a hacker to get the codes and footage on any game that is current under development. At first i thought it was a angry fired employee who did this because its a common thing that happens with big companies. Then again i dont feel sorry for them because Rockstar/Take Two are no longer the same company they used to be and the people who worked on the GTA series and the RDR series left years ago.

I kinda agree. Cyberpunk's world is kinda lifeless and obviously GTAV's world is more alive, same goes for RDR2 The gig's in Cyberpunk are cool and all but a lot of them are kinda repetitive but so far i like some of the new ones

Firestrike is pretty outdated these days especially with Modern CPUs and GPUs. Timespy scoring system is a improvement over firestrike. I was bored so i decided to run it and i almost broke the record score lol Mind well post this too i ran timespy almost a week ago and my score increased for some reason. My scores is usually around 6300 with the overclock but end up getting 6408 my highest score ever: Havent updated my GPU drivers since my last windows reinstall almost a year ago. -
Modders normally do a better job than the developers themselves. Most remasters are nothing more than a cash grab imo

I been using PotatoOfDOOM's FSR 2 mod for a month now which works great besides the ghosting issues which FSR 2.1 addresses that issue somewhat.

Intel and AMD laptops have supported up to 64GBs of RAM for a few years now. Since 2022 laptops uses DDR5 RAM its gonna be more expensive to upgrade to 64GBs of DDR5 RAM than DDR4. There are some reviews of the Legion 7 on youtube but not much info about the thermals

Agreed. Cinebench is the rest test as it pushes your CPU to its limit. @IamTechknow Glad someone else is testing out Honeywell 7950. Its a great paste especially for gaming laptops, The New Lenovo Legions uses a special version of it. The paste version i am using isnt as good the pad version but it works well. After 3 months my temps are still decent and they actually went down because summer is almost over here and the weather gotten better finally after a long hot and humid summer!.

Because of the Labor day sales going on. Its expected to go back to normal i agree. A 3080ti isnt much faster than a 3070ti and OEMs often overcharge for RTX 3080ti laptops, They did the same for the RTX 3080 laptops. You can upgrade to 64GBs of RAM yourself and save money. OEMs often overcharges for RAM and SSD anyways so its no big deal. Speaking of pricing there a labor day sale for the Maxed out version of the Legion 7 2022 Intel version for $3300. Make you use the code: GAMEON25 But still im not spending that much money on any laptop.

The list is ok but pretty biased, way too many modern games on the list. There no PS1, N64, Sega Genesis, SNES, and NES games mentioned also no Sonic classic 2D games, nor the Wolfenstein games mentioned either. Also the funniest thing about the list that there no COD games mentioned either lol. Could of add SMB3 and other classic games on the list since those games aged well and still very popular. Also instead of MGS2 it should of either MGS1 or MSG3. 3 was way better than 2. -

The Legion 7 2022 RX6850M XT and 3080Ti configurations are now available on their site but the prices are insane They're charging $4,119.99 for the 3080Ti version... Add the tax to it and the total is $4,367.19....... Also they're having a sale for last year's model for half the price for a RTX 3080 including Intel version.

Yeah i agree. The Intel version is definitely the better deal by far. Lenovo normally over charge their laptops when they're first released. They're charging over $2000 for the Legion 5s with the RTX 3070Ti when they have last gens Legions on sale for almost half the price including ones with the RTX 3070.

Im kinda the same way. I havent been gaming much lately due to work and other things. Also i need the battery life more than gaming performance these days, after all i get around 7-8 hours of battery life with the 80WH battery upgrade so it gets me through a work day when i need to bring it with me. Even with Optimus on i still great performance with my overclocked 1660ti especially in Cyberpunk getting 60-70+ on High settings using the FSR 2.0 Mod i been using. A MUX switch is still useful but only wish it had Advanced Optimus which is the best of both worlds.
