  1. Exactly. Upgrading to a new version of Windows that is less than 2 years old is not recommended especially when it still buggy as hell. According the OS marketshare Win 11 is up to 18% while Win 10 still dominating at 68.7% and Win 7 is at 9.62% https://gs.statcounter.com/os-version-market-share/windows/desktop/worldwide Win 11 is going to be a forgettable OS with Win 12 releasing sometime next year.
  2. You're pretty much at your limit for a 100w RTX 3060, Well 115w because of dynamic boost. The average score on Notebookcheck is the 130w version now 140w because OEMs released a VBIOS update to increase the wattage to 140w. Also i just noticed that Crysis Remastered has DLSS now and you have it turned off. You can achieve your goal if you turn DLSS on. Yeah we're getting it too, Been out in it all day at work wearing 4 layers lol.
  3. Haha 😆 I was right. The game is just badly optimized...... The graphics doesnt look any better than a typical AAA game, even games like RDR2, Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Unity and, etc has better graphics than Forbroken. The Next Crysis? more like the next GTA IV or even Saints Row 2 because those games are still the kings of bad optimization... Even with modern hardware you'll struggle playing them. I'll try out the demo to see how it runs on my 1660ti laptop, Wanna bet it wont be pretty even with FSR lol 😅
  4. Update on Honeywell7950SP (Paste): After almost 8 months it finally degrade as my temps was hitting in the 90c's repeatedly and over 100C at times when playing games like Cyberpunk even with the laptop elevated. My laptop fans was pretty dusty and even cleaning the fans my laptop temps didnt change so i was forced to repaste. After removing my heatsink the paste was almost dry and had a lot of gaps where the my CPU and GPU die was exposed. This time when i repasted i used the spatula that came with the honeywell 7950 package to spread the paste, like i said before its a thick paste almost like putty and covered my CPU and GPU die completely with a thick layer. Not the cleanest job as it was late at night but very effective especially when you see my temps and cinebench score below: After running cinebench 3 times not only i got my highest score but my CPU temps never went above 88C and games stayed in the 70Cs range!. Im still not sure how long it takes for it cure but the results took effect very quickly this time!.
  5. At least Crysis have some excuses like being a PC exclusive and it was ahead of its time graphics wise so much so that consoles like the PS3 and XBOX360 wasnt able to handle the game until years later where they had to downgrade the game's graphics somewhat and it still stutters. Even a desktop GTX 8800 couldnt run it on High and barely getting above 30FPS+, Ultra is worse below 30FPS most of the time. With the remastered verison with the minimum requirements you can run it at 1080p and get 60FPS+ with low settings. Forspoken doesnt have any excuses. Graphics wise it doesnt look any better than other AAA games especially on the PS5. The recommended specs is just as bad the minimum specs, You need a desktop RTX 3070 to be able to run it on 1440p (QHD) 30FPS.... Mind you the desktop RTX 3070 is more powerful than the current strongest laptop GPU 3080ti. The game will be released on the 24th so we'll find out the truth!!, Im leaning towards the game being badly optimized.
  6. That is true but at same time its still a gimmick because only High End GPUs can barely handle it with DLSS/FSR on to get playable FPS but it also introduces more issues like ghosting and shimmering at times. Companies are pushing RT so hard when majority of people dont have the specs to use it property..
  7. I thought it'll be fun to post this since the internet is still going wild about Forspoken insane system requirements RIP Laptop gaming
  8. Yea... https://www.nvidia.com/de-de/geforce/laptops/compare/ I posted about it before in that thread until NVIDIA released the official specs and i see that notebookcheck still hasnt updated the specs yet.
  9. Good choice because the new 2023 laptops are going to be very expensive especially the confusion with these RTX 4000 GPUs. Your Legion 5 specs especially with the 3070Ti is a great value compared to what the RTX 40 series are offering, Crazy sales going on with them now!. Yeah its pretty bad according to specs Nvidia revealed. Also the RTX 4070 will have a 128bit bus with 8GB GDDR6 memory with its wattage between 35-115W (+15-25W with dynamic boost and that what makes it more confusing, it also has lesser CUDA cores than the RTX 3070 and RTX 3070Ti making it a mid range GPU. High end = RTX 4090, RTX 4080 Mid Range = RTX 4070, RTX 4060 Entry= RTX 4050
  10. The crippling is caused by NVIDIA's dynamic boost ever since the 30 series, I think AMD does the same thing but im not sure but anyways there still no excuses for it. If people going to spend $5000+ for a I9HX+RTX4090 combo laptop they should be able to run it at its full potential. Also a lot gaming laptops uses advanced optimus now (upgraded MUX) which you have the best of both worlds without any bottlenecking going on especially in games.
  11. My old HP ENVY laptop is still running Windows 8.1 and after using it for like an hour today it made miss Windows 8.1 where i can control my PC the way i want to and plus i wasnt forced to use Microsoft store and DCH drivers like Windows 10... I never had an issue with the OS itself other than causing BSODs at times because i was testing my undevolt. I installed open shell and some tweaks to avoid using Metro as i always hated it.. At least they kinda learned their lesson with Windows 10. Also Windows 8.1 wasnt so bloated with junk apps unlike Windows 10/11.
  12. No idea. Like i said its a downgrade from the 2022 model. Also it has less USB-C ports 17 inch laptops doesnt sell well as they used to especially Lenovo ones. Going with 16" and smaller is a smart business decision.
  13. There are others you can use like StopUpdates10, Windows Update Blocker and etc. Every one of them are pretty simple to use and installing one of them and using O&O ShutUp10++ you'll have a similar experience as using Windows 7/8.1
  14. I like the new models especially that all of them will use 16" QHD screens but the Pro 7 looks like a major downgrade with the design imo and removing the fingerprint scanner and its disappointing that the AMD version of the Pro 7 wont be available in the USA..........
  15. Im sure most people already know but support for Windows 8.1 will end on January 10, 2023, Also support for Windows 7 will fully end on that same date as well https://www.theverge.com/2023/1/3/23537688/microsoft-windows-7-8-end-of-support-security-updates RIP to the last Microsoft OS that we was allowed to control Windows Update without any 3rd party tweaks 😂 Also in the OS marketshare Windows 8.1 currently has only 2.59% users https://gs.statcounter.com/os-version-market-share/windows/desktop/worldwide
  16. I see and also i forgot that CES was this week..... I hate being busy... It doesnt seem to be as Nvidia never mentioned about the speeds. All of the articles said about it is that its their lowest voltage ever. I guess they're heavily relying on DLSS 3.
  17. That's good to hear. Next time dont buy stuff from shady sellers!. That's pretty creepy..... like others have already said call the police or go to the police station to report the guy. If all else fails you probably have to move for safety reasons
  18. Sadly Rockstar are no longer the same company as before. A lot of people who worked on GTA and RDR are gone like Dan Houser and Lazlow so GTA VI wont be as good as the previous ones especially the new direction they're going. Yea, despite the long development time and hype it still ended up a buggy mess at release.
  19. Quick question does lovelace has better memory bandwidth or something because the Memory bit bus castration on the laptop versions are very concerning especially if you're running games on QHD or even higher. RTX 4090 - 256bit Bus RTX 4080 - 192bit Bus RTX 4070 - 128bit Bus RTX 4060 - 96bit Bus RTX 4050 - 96bit Bus Cant rely on benchmarks until we see the real world performance
  20. Wow... Definitely a druggie, You're very lucky that nothing else happened to you. Watch your back and/or just in case carry a box cutter or a razor for protection. Druggies are violent especially when they're going through withdrawals
  21. Wow... The only positive about it is that it uses 8GBs of VRAM instead of 6GBs like the RTX 3060/2060 According to notebookcheck it says that the RTX 4060 has only a 96 Memory bit bus and i hope thats a typo because it clearly got castrated...... https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-RTX-4060-Laptop-GPU-Benchmarks-and-Specs.675692.0.html
  22. Well as long you got the refund everything should be good. This seller should of at least tell you whats going on. Communication is key when selling things online.
  23. Where did you order it from? It would be better to buy it from Newegg, Amazon and some other reliable places. USPS is bad but not that bad for a package to take 11 days. I would contact the seller to see what going on.
  24. That is pretty amazing!. Also most people already have baking soda and super glue stored somewhere in their homes.
