Yea i agree. GTA V's world is way more alive than Cyberpunk 2077's world and i will say the same thing about RDR2's world as well. The NPCs in both games are way more livelier than in Cyberpunk and there are a lot of things going on.

Ray tracing is still worthless. Most of times its not worth the FPS drops even with DLSS/FSR Also its dumb that DLSS 3 is only supported by the 40 RTX Series. At this point FSR might be the DLSS killer especially with 3.0 and its supported by all modern NVIDIA and AMD GPUs because its software based.

Cyberpunk is a good game but so many missed opportunities But i'll say this Cyberpunk's gameplay is miles ahead of gta v because you can play any gamestyle you want depending how you build your character. GTA V still dominates though.

Most modern PCs that are running Windows 10/11 support modern standby without issues. It could be a problem with your Windows 10 LTSC installation. Most likely it needs to be updated if you're still using the one that was posted on NBR before Check out this thread here:

Bypassing optimus improves CPU performance somewhat because with the IGP disabled your CPU works a bit less and nothing is bottlenecking it. Also you should monitor your temps when running benchmarks if your laptop isnt throttling because that can affect your scores too The major improvements in by passing optimus is in gaming mostly E-Sports games like CSGO, Overwatch and etc that are more CPU dependent than GPU dependent.

I have the 2020 version and standby works fine. I had problems with AMD drivers in the past because the stock ones are pretty bad and standby was one of the issues with them. Like i said in the other thread it could be a problem with advanced optimus. You could try disabling optimus and let your RTX 3060 take over the display and then use standby, If works normally then its a problem with the AMD drivers otherwise i am at a lost at this point.. Here is my power option settings: My Legion never goes to standby mode when the screen is off. That's a steal there!.

Yea ofc since its the only paste that works well with my Laptop and its great paste for all gaming laptops, Its almost been 6 months since the repaste and it hasnt degraded one bit!. I tried out SYY before but it didnt last long, I have the 2020 version and i heard the 2021 and 2022 versions improved the paste formula with decent results.

You should always use DDU when uninstalling AMD/NVIDIA drivers so it wont leave a trace of anything and causing issues when installing newer drivers. NVcleaninstall is good when installing NVIDIA drivers without all the bloatware.

Its not surprising since the maximum wattage for Laptop GPUs are still stuck at 175W while desktop GPUs keep increasing their wattage every generation increasing the performance gap. With laptops continue to get thinner and thinner every year its very doubtful anything will change as long thin and light gaming laptops keep selling like hot cakes.

Lenovo uses a special version of it called Honeywell 7954 or something like that. I dont know what's the difference between them. Not bad!. I do notice some FPS gains in DX12 games like Cyberpunk 2077. At first i thought only RTX GPUs will have increased performance in DX12. Cant complain about free performance gains 😁

Modern standby has nothing to do with Lenovo at all, Its a windows feature. I dont know the full details about it though. You could increase the length of time of when the display turn off when plugged in Power Options if that helps. Display and Standby problems normally caused by the VGA drivers. In your case it could be a problem with advanced optimus if your legion supports it. What version is your NVIDIA drivers?

Im not surprised because there isnt many improvements over Windows 10. Plus older PCs dont support TPM 2.0 which was a dumb move on Microsoft's part. Also Windows 11's marketshare wont improve much as Windows 12 is supposed to be released in 2024

Decided to buy Resident Evil Village (RE8) since work has finally died down somewhat so i have some free time and i am enjoying the game so far, Love the gameplay and graphics and the fact that the game doesnt hold your hand much as i kept dying in the Lycan attack in the beginning of the game as i kept running out of pistol ammo and resources to craft more and getting lost in Castle Dimitrescu but still making good progress so far as im learning more about the game. Its still a fun experience

AMD graphic/display drivers sucks tbh especially their stock drivers which causes that issue. I had some problems with standby in the past and other issues but not anymore with their newest drivers but then again i only use standby when im home and shutdown when im taking my laptop to work and other places as i dont want it to accidentally wake up and roasting in my bag. Anyways i hope nothing goes wrong with this one. 😁

Agreed. Its good to disable turbo when on battery as you really dont need it and also you gain some more battery life and Intel CPUs badly needs it. The power option registry tweak is a very useful tweak that everyone should use. Aaron said is good to have it disabled when you're doing light tasks like web browsing, watching videos, office work, and etc especially when running on battery but he flips it on with the Power Option tweak when plugged in when gaming and video encoding for obvious reasons because the i7-12700H has a base clock speed of 2.3GHZ which will cause some stuttering especially when playing games when boost is off losing performance. Even with turbo boost on NVIDIA Dynamic boost will lower the boost speeds of the i7-12700H if its heavy GPU game so im surprised his temps are hitting 100C. @Trevayne10You could try repasting depending how long you had your Omen, it could be a bad paste job from the factory and/or when playing games instead of putting it flat on a table lift the back of your laptop where the fans are
