  1. Again we haven't made any recent changes to the forum, it was updated and Hiew did announce to the forum when that occurred. Here are the current settings that have been in place since the original inquiry to picture attachments last year. NBR was owned by a corporation as well as had ads running, neither of which apply here :( Thats right, I said favoritism, since it was insinuated. Anyways the above settings have been place for almost a year. Once you use up what is available the amount you will be able to upload will reduce until you dont have any space available.
  2. There has been no change on my part or that of @Hiew. Its perhaps just hitting your per user limit. I had edited additional context to what you might have perceived as favoritism is the forum members realizing the limitation of the forum as it is currently and using other picture hosting sites to get around this limitation, which is perfectly amicable as the forum has the ability to embed them (or at least that is my current understanding).
  3. Nope. We dont have the money to facilitate that at the moment. We host our own forum, just licensing forum software. Storage is a limitation we have not been able to expand on quite yet as scaling it up will need some consideration first. The benchmark thread has the same limitation that the entire forum has. They predominantly do not embed pictures directly into the forum storage as they eat up the per user allocation pretty much the first day. To get around this they embed pictures from imgur and other sites like it. Those that do clear out previous pictures since most of the time they only use it for additional context during the topic of the day.
  4. General, sub-section number 4. make a thread if you want a retro build thread, not making another section for retro builds when there isnt a single thread for them on the forum presently.
  5. There is different behavior on ryzen laptops where all PCIE and CPU components are reduced whole sale
  6. Wont know until someone gets their hands on one. Though I wouldnt expect the most performance if its out of a Dell system, they've traditionally always treated AMD components as an afterthought.
  7. Meanwhile the 5800X3D is getting closer to what I am willing to spend on it :) Should be a nice replacement for my 2700x
  8. Sadly we got the new UI, I was partial to the older format but mostly because it worked really well for me.
  9. They climb tree's hella fast too
  10. You've got more going on than I do dude, no one is interested in banning you, nor has the subject ever been broached a single time. I am quite a bit more tolerant than you give me credit for. Any ideas what happened to Khenglish? Wasnt the heaviest poster but was certainly a mad scientist, loved seeing his work. A woman like that is one of a kind!
  11. It comes off as patronizing but if you're capable of going on a jog or some exercise to get the heart pumping, it tends to flush the brain fog. Sometimes making it above water is enough to get that air and put a plan into action. I prefer bike riding myself, throw on some headphones and put some distance between me and what ever problem Im chewing on at the time.
  12. True enough, though I would've been nervous to work there in the first place. Regardless of era lol. I despise corporate politics just like regular politics, too many cubicles and I'll start looking for the door. Altogether suffocating nature of it all is just not in my nature. Too long and I'd be screaming like James McAvoy in Wanted.
  13. This is also false. OEMs just want to put their already in place motherboards into multiple SKUs and sell it as a different product family. See Latitude 5430 and Mobility Precision, same chassis, slightly differing board, same keyboard, same panels, same outputs. its an effort to streamline manufacturing while appearing to maintain different product families. There was a reason why Eurcom released the 780w AC Adapter, there was a market for it. You dont get to create an inferior product, then say "whelp, theres no market!" then charge the same or money for it. Of course the market is going to look elsewhere, if you go long enough then those on the older systems will either buy somethign they dont want or grab some cheap yesteryear system to suffice the mobile needs while they move to desktops for what they want.
  14. California has some pretty stringent guidelines for terminations. If someone gets fired immediately after airing out some dirty laundry I'd imagine they would get a nice settlement. That all being said, only a chosen few actively seek to garner the ire of their bosses. Unless of course they are now following the guidelines for Texas, even then retaliation terminations still dont fly that well here. Especially in the court of public opinion. Musk is in a position where he has everything to lose in that arena.
  15. The main issue with ebay is sellers can get away with selling "in kind" parts and not the actual thing they are listing to begin with. That all being said ebay tends to screw its sellers beyond recognition due to ebay protections which are ripe with fraudulent buyers. Really wish ebay got replaced with something else.
  16. Thats true I didnt consider that, likely NDA's seems to be the norm in that space. I really dont like sourceless material though. Not exclusive to the Verge, we're told. No, The Verge is not a source, being a source and a publication would allow so many conflicts of interest it would render both to be without value.
  17. Thanks for sharing, I've been on and off eyeing these systems and Lenovo for a while now.
  18. IIRC when I started a BLCK overclock it killed the daughterboard altogether :( What convinced me to get something else was when the screen started flickering. Its also the system that got me into Laptop overclocking/mods generally speaking.
  19. Personal details removed, there is a place for transactions @tps3443 otherwise handle it via PM. Thanks
  20. They dont want teachers teaching how to use Windows OS to younger kids and ChromeOS is "easier" to manage since its done via cloud, idea is to keep the teachers teaching that they are geared towards I guess. Microsofts policies on replacements are the same as Chromebook's, replace, only more expensive.
