  1. Current rate is 60/each I may be able to move the needle depending on how much interest there is here.
  2. Hey guys so I have a local listing for 9800GX2's only reason I am bringing it to the forums attention and specifically here is because he has around 20 in inventory. Anyone want in?
  3. I focus more so on Forum cohesiveness, where to cut the fat and where to expand. The backend is largely handled by my co-(re?)founder @Hiew . He is good at what he does, and that aspect of the forum has largely been running like a well oiled machine. We have had a cooling off period for a bit now, with the world seemingly falling to pieces we have been working as much as possible in our respective lives. I still have some projects in regards to the forums, one of which I have been working on here and there to which some here are privy, I still plan to make it a reality here when the time is right.
  4. Best possible mobile server is likely to be the Ranger with the modification I ran on it. I had around 12TB at the time, but with your 3x 8TB drives the Ranger could easily handle that and more tbph
  5. Switch to Dark Theme, I may just make that the default going forward. The IC forums are not letting me post there for some reason, so getting answers is difficult.
  6. Thanks for the link, sent an inquiry to see about diagnosing my msi branded 1080 from my p750FM. Locks up under GPU load and kind of miss using it as my daily.
  7. I would imagine it would need to be a case by case basis for this kind of scenario, certainly anything is possible with the right tools and knowledge. Keep in mind that a custom vBIOS was also needed to rectify some issues he was initially facing upon the result of the modification.
  8. It could also just be a current setting that doesn't jive with the cpu. For example I believe the medium is Optimus only to the panel but if there is a peg setting and it's enabled, perhaps it's changing the behavior of the post. Since previously mDP is not functional, headless variants won't fool the system into posting. I'll probably need to swap the 4810mq back in and review the sbios settings.
  9. Mostly only my t440p and a couple of other Dell systems like the m6800 and e5540. Recently nothing though, might put it into the t440p to verify function.
  10. Got my eye on an HD 5970 Quadfire listing while everyone is looking at RTX 4090's lol
  11. Sadly the 4980hq did not post in the P157SM-A laptop. Turns on for about a minute, then back off, reboots and repeats. :(
  12. Just get a low melting point solder, my current heatsink (pipes, heat exchanger, plates) all are "Custom" made. The trick is the contact plate and making sure you dont blow up the heatpipes. For taking it apart, gravity works great and a toaster oven gives you a window. Im going to probably have to remake my heatsink again for my own laptop as the MSI 1080 either needs to be repaired or get a different GPU. Problem is most GPU's dont have an off center die. Bending pipes is a huge pain though
  13. Forgive me I didn't see the edit. Prema stopped distributing his bios as a result of people and companies stealing his work and reselling for profit. There were also instances where individuals would make small changes in order to claim as their work that resulted in some fried laptops.
  14. Very interesting! If I sell what I have now I may pursue this route over time.
  15. Nothing in particular, just older stuff so I guess anything un the unified GPU timeline
  16. There is always the retro benching, probably lighter on the wallet overall save for the cost of your sanity looking for old waterblocks. I have been thinking to start figuring out how to solder and see what interesting things can be done going that route. Problem is its sitting pretty far back in the line of things to do lol
  17. Probably for the best, wasn't there some rumors about Intel hedt parts making another round? Might be more up your alley but of course also a bit of a steep pricing curve.
  18. That may change if the X3D chips are an overall step up over the current 7xxx chips, then again should hopefully be able to step it up 3-4 generations later
  19. It gets tricky when you pay for the year up front, because then I would issue a charge back on the card
  20. I guess that just means they wanted to avoid the memes that would surely be made for when the Ti variant needs 5 or 6 8pin cables
  21. Wait, does that mean I am no longer average? Damn. 4 window fans, standing fan, 10 fans for my uhh "server". I have a box of about dozen+ fans waiting for me to stop being lazy. Yeah, I guess I need to toss in my average membership card
  22. Looks like they want to reduce supply to keep pricing higher as a result, though I confess to not having a good understanding of all the components of that type of business.
  23. It is quite a bit better than most 1070 results I am looking at right now, should be a good send off for a 4980hq, though I'll need to make sure that posts in the P157SM-A first before I let my hype get the better of me.
