    Is it true that the GPU cant be upgraded to the 2080 Super ? Im guessing there is no option for RTX 30xx since I think they nixed the machine altogether and it doesnt use MXM to my understanding?

    Of course, they just werent good options though, that all being said I had a budget to work with so I prioritized stretching that dollar and efficiency. Those with blank checks wouldnt care as much. It was an odd discovery that of all the cards I had, the reference AMD 5700xt was hands down the best card bar none, memory temps were way down compared to anything else from AMD and Nvidia. I was honestly befuddled since traditionally AMD's heatsinks dont have a good reputation.

    I would think there would be less likely for people to actively pursue a 6900xt for mining. Though I guess that's only if your of rational mind, I actively pursued 5700xt's because I figured people would be offloading them for the new cards and I had already done some tweaking on them before so I was more comfortable with the idea. Not to mention their efficiency was and is stiller better for mining compared to the new tech. That all being said I'm currently using an rtx 3080 for my pc. Still rocking my 2700x @ 4.0ghz. Probably pick up the x3d after the new chips come out, would love to see how this ram I have from @Mr. Fox behaves with it. Still on stock bios and I think I have it at 3600 or 3800 can't remember lol

    I still remember the a10 + 7970m travesty when I was looking for a used but gpu competent system maybe 8 years ago or so? That system probably sealed amd's date on the mobile side of things. That all being said if the only thing we care about is the actual king of performance that more or less tends to sit in Nvidia's camp but that used to mean I could get close enough for cheaper with amd.

    I expect it to do what I need it to do. I can even use it to order buttered toast delivered to my door at specific or non specific one time our routine deliveries to my home. :)

    My experience has been mixed. My 780m and 1080 have died and one of my rtx 3080's almost blew up, but my 5700xt is still pushing 325w with 0 issues but getting past the driver limitations is annoying on both teams. That being said the AMD mobility lineup is probably deserving of the scorn, I only had the lighter side of AMD for MXM. M5100 and M6100 and both were able to overclock leagues ahead of its limitations with a vbios flash. That all being said there arent exactly the go-to GPU for gaming anymore. Each have their pro's / con's

    Im just as human as the rest of you, and also dont want ads on the forum, which is why there is none :P. I would sooner accept donations, subscriptions, crypto etc etc before I would turn to ads, to which I am also hesitant. As for suggestions @Snowleopard there is a location for just that here. Though your post will need to have some modicum of construction as currently I am unsure what your dissatisfaction is, if its something I can facilitate I am happy to do so.

    Yeah true enough. I had been pining a bit to switch back to the Desktop but could never justify it since I have a pretty decent laptop. One of our members here successfully upgraded the P751 laptop with the RTX 3080 so I will take this chance to look over the real estate I have with this machine for incorporating that card as well as expanding on the heatsink. Wont be doing anything right now though, other priorities ahead of the "to do list". Thanks for the offer! Sadly the 1080 I had used has a offset die location so with my current heatsink it wouldnt be able to mount at all lol I am back to using my previous desktop AM4 ITX

    The link doesnt work for the Egg anymore, fairly odd. I think my 1080 or the motherboard is on the way out for my P750FM, lose all video, tried downclocking the vram and now I get colors but lose displays until it reboots. I setup my AM4 ITX system again with one of my 3080's :)

    I was given an older project from work, I guess at the time of release (2014/2015?) it was rather fancy? 1280x800 native but does 1080p60 quite well all things considered. I was surprised as its my first foray into this genre of technology. I just have it mounted above me pointing towards an empty wall in my bedroom. Gotta say makes it perfect for controller gaming, but due to Texas heat I tend to shy away from it during the day.

    Is it the same amount of mass or was that not mentioned? (sorry at work) Well, I mean, I avoid taxes where ever possible too lol I remember when Newegg finally started collecting taxes the PC genre had a collective depression for a bit.
