  1. Did you try removing CPU and booting up then putting CPU back in? At this point it doesn't matter but these are some things I would have tried. I was out of town for awhile but hopefully you don't have to pay too much to have it working again.
  2. Did you blind flash A03 with all components installed? CMOS battery, battery, RAM, CPU, etc.? because otherwise it will probably fail (at least if there's no RAM)
  3. Price: $300 Shipped SOLD Condition: For Parts (Please read carefully, laptop works but has some issues) Warranty: None Reason for sale: Extra Laptop Payment: Paypal, Venmo, Local Cash Item location: Martinez, CA Shipping: US48 Included International shipping: Yes Handling time: Ships within 1-3 days Feedback: https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/ssj92?filter=feedback_page:All Specification: This is an Alienware 18 that has a few issues but overall is a working laptop. Overall condition is good. However due to the issues it’s sold AS IS. Issues: Motherboard integrated graphics: for some reason when switching to integrated graphics, the colors on the internal panel become all weird. Using HDMI shows a perfect picture. The internal panel is fine because using nVidia Graphics it works perfectly fine. One of the tabs that connects keyboard cable to motherboard is broken. However I have taped it and it hasn’t had any issues last year I’ve used this laptop. There is a dent on the left top corner. Laptop was never dropped but it was hit against a door inside a backpack. It’s purely cosmetic. The nVidia graphics card inside is from another laptop. While it works fine for everyday use and multimedia, it’s not good at gaming. Other than these issues I’ve used this laptop weekly perfectly fine. If you upgrade the RAM and GPU it can be a very powerful laptop. It also has a custom BIOS that allows using the velociraptor NVMe MXM card if you can find it for sale. Specs: Intel Core i7 4700MQ 8GB (4x2GB) DDR3L RAM 80GB mSATA SSD 320GB 7200rpm HDD nVidia Geforce GTX 675M Graphics 18.4” 1920x1080 60Hz Display Intel Wi-Fi 7260-AC + Bluetooth Windows 10 Pro Original Genuine Battery (still holds 1-2 hr charge) No charger is included! I will ship it charged though.
  4. Try contacting ADLink & Aetina and see if they will sell for you and price. I want to see if they just charge people randomly or it's a set price. ADLink: https://www.adlinktech.com/en/Contact_us_form Aetina: https://www.aetina.com/about-contact.php Do NOT mention anything about putting these in laptops.. Just say you currently are using P5000 in your machines and are looking to upgrade to A4500.
  5. Looking for the following: 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 (L or non L) 2133, 1866, or 1600Mhz. 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 (L or non L) 1866 or 1600Mhz. I'd prefer at least 1866Mhz but will do 1600Mhz if needed. Shipped to CA, US. Let me know what you have and price. Got a few laptops and all my RAM is 4GB modules. EDIT: Found on eBay , thanks
  6. Are you in the US? I can probably get you one but you'd have to be serious about it. It's pricey, I have one pre-ordered.
  7. How many cards were you looking for?
  8. I think there was a post on NBR that talked about drivers without IRQ issues. Idk where it went, somewhere on the archive. It may help solve these sound issues.
  9. The one with FFFF values has the UEFI gop portion removed from vBIOS. This is what I have been trying to do with vBIOS editing to get newer GPUs working in older systems but for me it hasn't fully worked yet. Once I receive my older AW I will do more testing. There is probably a "proper" way to do it. Could you upload the vBIOS with FFF and the manufacturer one here so I can take a look?
  10. It looks like it is using the older MXM module. The newer 3.0b MXM module will not fit so you won't be able to use any modern gpu. You can always try OC using software as well if BIOS doesn't allow it.
  11. It's M17x the Core 2 Quad (Extreme) models before R2. They can be upgraded to the nice RGB display. However, GPU upgrade wise, you won't get far. As far as I remember (and looking at nbr achieve) we didn't even get 69xxM AMD GPU or 460M nVidia working (from my search). 5870M CF is fastest config for the M17x. You would be way better off getting an R2 which can do 8970M crossfire. Or M18xR2 which can do 980M SLI or any modern GPU in Optimus. Then again looking at this: https://www.nbrchive.net/xfa/alienware-17-and-m17x.1079/M17X R1 and K3000M/ K3000M and 680m may work?
  12. I'm in the process of ordering A4500. it has same exact design as RTX 5000 in terms of offset core so @kenny27 I put my hopes in you to build us a heatsink LOL
  13. The wire has middle pin to let laptop know it's 330w. When I had my previous 780w with dual outputs for area-51m r1, bios showed 2x 330x psus.
  14. AW 18 is limited to 330w. I have a 780w psu and cable coming so I'll be able to test this =D if I get an SLI system...lol
  15. Hi all, Is there still no nvflash version that supports flashing the rtx 2000/3000 series gpus? I wanted to flash a Quadro RTX 3000 (TU106) and I do have a programmer, but I heard that these need a signed vBIOS otherwise they get a black screen.
  16. Has anyone tested the Eurocom 780w adapter with the single aw wire? I am curious if it can output over 330w
  17. Ah I need to find a way to port the swick M18xR1 module updates and microcode to M17xR3 bios. Also need to do same from M18xR2 swick bios to M17xR4. I don’t think those two got these updates
  18. What did you use to cut these safely? I may need to do same thing in m17x r3.
  19. Wait so did you modify heatsink at all? It fits into the slot even with offset core? Idk if this would work in m18x r2 or m17x series with their heatsinks
