You shouldn't need to do so. Dongles is the "Apple and Dell" way to fix own stupidity. A real MB manufacturer shouldn't push people into the parts stores to make it work. Approve stamp = failed! -

There is a latch but weaker than the one for old 8 pin connectors from my understanding. A new desiged 600w power connector should be 100% “idiot safe”. There is a few people that just can’t mount it properly. Even Corsairs R&D Jonny_Guru said he failed several times mount it properly. Edit: The 16-pin cable has a “small” latch mechanism underneath the anchor which doesn't seem to do the job well. It is easy to come out and even when fully plugged in, the connection can come out loose in certain cases. -

New has to be better. Huuh? change only for the change often come with downsides (Engineers doesn't always see their own stupidity). https://wccftech.com/nvidia-16-pin-12vhpwr-cable-connection-guide-for-geforce-rtx-4090-rtx-4080-owners/ AMD gear up before the launc of their new graphics cards😄 AMD Exec Burns Nvidia Over Melting Connectors And Nvidia will offer a huge performance uplift for their 4060. Whats the point upgrade from 3060 to 4060 if this will be the end results? And why buy 4060 over a discounted 3060 if that happen? People want new so you may be able to find a cheaper used 3060 forwards. RT is pretty useless for this type cards, so... GeForce RTX 4060 could be 20% faster than the RTX 3060 with a bigger price tag and lower power consumption After the launch of flagship RTX 40 models from Nvidia, the wait has begun for affordable RTX 4060 SKUs that are expected to start showing up next year. GPUs are headed in the wrong direction theverge.com Editorial: Nvidia’s latest flagship RTX 4080 and AMD’s RX 7900 XT are inflated more than inflation itself — and that’s not normal. We’re in the middle of a dramatic economic downturn, if not an outright recession — we’ve had 15–16 percent inflation since 2020, when Nvidia and AMD released their last flagship GPUs. But the RTX 4080’s starting price is 71.5 percent more expensive than the RTX 3080. AMD’s 7900 XT is 38.5 percent more expensive than the 6800 XT. When my colleague Tom reviewed Nvidia’s new graphics card, he did find it 50 percent faster than the previous generation, but such gains aren’t unheard of gen-on-gen without a corresponding jump in price. And I’d argue that performance is almost beside the point. Both Nvidia and AMD regularly release uber-enthusiast class GPUs like the 3090 Ti or Titan with excess memory and / or exotic cooling for those who’ll pay for every scrap of performance, but the 4080 and 7900 XT aren’t those: they’re the “normal” flagships, and both companies are now targeting that kind of GPU at a more exclusive audience. -

If nvidia have denied replacements for burned cards now... It would be bad for the reputation. But what will happen a year or two forwards? HaHa😃 The first I would look after when I buy a used 4090 card... The 16-Pin '12VHPWR' connector😄 The added fancy features as Ray-tracing save nvidia's day. RX 7900 XTX, 7900 XT vs Nvidia RTX 4090 vs RTX 4080 performance preview using AMD's own data neowin · 8 hours ago 8 Nvidia has now launched the RTX 4090 and the 4080 Ada Lovelace SKUs. Meanwhile, AMD is set to launch its own RX 7900 series GPUs in less than a month. In this article, we estimate how they stack up... As one would expect, AMD's second-gen ray tracing performance is still nowhere close to Nvidia's third-generation capabilities on the RTX 40-series. In fact, in one instance out of the three, even the RTX 3090 Ti manages to trounce the RX 7900 XTX by a healthy margin. Though, there is a lot to like about the upcoming AMD cards too. The RX 7900 XTX seems to be comfortably outperforming the RTX 4080 in rasterization while being $200 cheaper. In one case, even the 7900 XT manages to beat the 4080. However, bear in mind that these are first-party numbers we are using here for AMD, and it's just three games that may well be cherry-picked. Now its up to the buyers to choose between "nice to have features" or lower cost. -

Microsoft change all the time so why bother with the beta OS ? You never know what you get in the next Windows Update. Win 11 is as a ticking bomb. And often updates that no-one have asked for. KB5019980 is a mandatory security update published...... In other words, t’s likely that you already have the update applied to your system and changes like tabbed File Explorer or taskbar overflow UI are now live. Yep, security Updates is well worth to install (sarcasm).

Maybe this is the answer for your question?😁 Food for thoughts... Nvidia and it's AIC partners could just deny replace the cards and put all the blame on user errors. Just say it is nothing wrong with adapers or the power connector. This will put Nvidia in better lights regarding saving own reputation. Just put all the blame on the consumers. The comming press release about the smoke and fire can easly be watered down to nothing like this: A very small amount cards failing is to expect vs how many cards produced and sold. End of press release. People will buy it anyway......... RTX 4080 Too Expensive? RTX 4090 Owner Hits Nvidia With Lawsuit Over Melting 16-pin Connector One consumer filed a lawsuit against Nvidia regarding the melting 16-pin connectors on GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards. The lawsuit states that Genova is suing Nvidia for unjust enrichment, breach of warranty, fraud, and violations of New York’s General Business Law. The lawsuit, which was filed in a California federal court on Nov. 11, alleges that Nvidia "marketed and sold the RTX 4090 with a defective and dangerous power cable plug and socket, which has rendered consumers' cards inoperable and poses a serious electrical and fire hazard for each and every purchaser." Genova seemingly brings the class action lawsuit on behalf of himself and all purchasers of the GeForce RTX 4090, one of the best graphics cards on the market. -

Not all corporation will increase prices on own new products with +71%. Wouldn't it be nice if Nvidia also added the 71% premium for 4090?😁 Yep, we would see 4090 cards at +2550$ MSRP. Or custom Asus 4090 Strix at 2900$. This without help from the miners. Only own Greed. Even nvidia would see this would look stupid in reviews. And 4090 Ti would come at +3400$ or +3700$ for the better custom cards. Even Nvidia can see own stupidity. Better milk the average gaming Joe. He buy it anyway. And will the notebook OEMs add a 70% premium for next gen gamingbooks? Wouldn't it be nice see an Alienware 17 inch jokebook go up from 4900$ and passing +7000$ ? 😁 Run and buy, LOOL 5 must-know GeForce RTX 4080 details: Overpriced by $500 The GeForce RTX 4080's performance went up over the RTX 3080, but its price went up waaaaaaaaay more. -

Hi. I'm fully aware of all this. I usually close all doors and only upgrade needed Windows patches as standalone and with network closed. As well disable everything that can trigger automatic updates of driver, software and firmware. But I wanted to see if Win update had a driver I couldn't find. As you can see from my search... This was expected from Microsoft🤮 And as usually you never find what you want from Redmond retards. But they is able to continue offer an bios upgrade that Asus should have removed from Microsoft servers already in August. But this is still offered machines who already have newer firmware. Can't beat stupidity. So both Asus and Microsoft is a disgusting and a awful partnership. -

This is maybe a good thing for Nvidia. Low TGP and power consumption may help nvidia to avoid adapter bend-gate 2😁 08:25 - Embarrassingly Bad Value vs. RTX 3080 Don’t be a sucker and pay $1,200 for this card. Don’t be a sucker and buy a 2-year-old last-gen model at full price. Either buy an RTX 4090 if you want no-compromises gaming and creation performance—or wait to see what Radeon offers this time around, or wait for Nvidia’s prices to potentially fall after it sells through that mountain of older RTX 30-series cards. Because a 71 percent (71 percent) price increase for a 30 percent performance increase ain’t it. That’s harsh, but it’s true. Again, Nvidia is asking for 71 percent more cash for that mere 30 percent uplift—$699 versus $1,199. At the same $1,199 price, the RTX 4080 is only faster than the RTX 3080 Ti by single-digit percentages. That’s absolutely insane and aggressively insulting to PC gamers. You should stay far, far away from this graphics card at this price. More awful tech news: And Intel is lured to hire Dell's VP for Dell Alienware gaming division.... Dell spew out their useless Alienware VP's into main hardware manufacturers. First F. Azor over to AMD, now Vivian into Intel. But this doesn't make Alienware any better. A new DELL AW VP will drag the Alienware brand further down in the dirt. Because Alienware is Dell. Not the opposite. Yet another reason to avoid Dell graphics. Nothing awesome will come from DELL. What a failure done from Patrick P. Gelsinger, the CEO of Intel. -

Here is how the disgusting service/license from Aqua Computer works. I really like the High Flow Next but the awful idea grabbing even more money when you have already paid a lot for the hardware is is a let down.... https://licensing.aquacomputer.de/shop/aquasuite/de And if you pay 3000 nok or 300$ for their D5 Next pump with leakshield you run into same disgusting experience. Aqua Computer will also charge you 10-12.5$ each damn year if you want to use their software for their high end 300$ pump.... Greed have no limits!!! Yep, you don't need it but people will jump on it anyway. Hence Aqua Computer can and will continue with this awful practice. Edit. Btw... Asus is equal retarded as well. Asus should be aware of this stupidity. Yet, Microsoft want to give you unwanted updates with blessings from Asus software/firmware department. This old buggy bios version have been on Windows servers a long time. Asus could have asked Microsoft to remove it but they don't bother. Asus = Dell nowadays. If you have a newer firmware, Microsoft prefer that you update with blessings from Asus. Wahts wrong with todays tech? -

I don't think you'll have to pay that much. And there are different brands that have similar (and I don't think the quality is so different). Dazmode have a lot for water cooling and from all known brands. And you have so many stores in U.S, so... Congrats on the sale. Double the price was correct put. And you have decent cooling so any Cpu bin will works out for you. Be happy many of you don't live in a tax hell. European Retailers Slap Premiums on Nvidia RTX 4080 Graphics Cards The best price we have seen in Europe is £1,166 ($1,368). This without taxes. In best case will a 4080 cost 1710$ here home😁 People like to living on the edge. Why follow the guide-lines for the Nvidia bend cable smokin nightmare? But small cute and pretty surpasses common sense. I expect most people have an fire extinguisher, so. But not nice be put on hotel Chrismas holidays😀 I prefer be home with fam and eat good food and not be out in the dark looking at the stars and fire. -

Finally got the Aqua Computer high flow NEXT I bought on the used market here home. Below half price. Works as it should. But Aquacomputer is a disgusting company. They have a license sub for their software after the free one year after purchase of your 100$ gear. Yep, 1 year sub and 10$ = 12.5$ with the nice Norwegian tax on top here. Imagine if Intel have done the same... Sell you an 600$ cpu and you have to pay 12.5$ every year to be able to use etc XTU or other software for your processor. Would people be happy paying Nvidia extra $$$ for their nvidia Experience software every year after purchase of their graphics cards? But no problem... The flow meter screen show what any bloatware can measure. And it’s nice you can turn of bling bling lights on top of the flow meter. Also check the water quality etc. Most can be done from there. So, I like it as is 🙂 One pump connected... 270-275 l/h or 4.5 l/min. Yep, the max l/h bragging from any pump vendors sales page or many review sites is pretty useless. Igorslab reviewed this flow meter vs his expensive flow meter tool. Fairly accurate measurement from his testing. So this is it. Fake numbers from reviews of single D5 pump with full water cooling setup.... 100-300 l/m is to expect from a single pump. Results will depends on how the custom cooling is setup. Not this pretty work of art below. Bro Fox. I like the EK-AF Angled 2×45° adapters. I prefer these over the short sharp right angled 90° fittings. If you have the needed place in or outside your chassis then the slightly bigger arch can reduce the unwanted sharp 90° angle to help reduce water flow restrictions. Maybe not the big gain with one or two but if you need a few of those 90° adapters for your custom cooling then I expect it will help on the water flow. -

Jayz think Nvidia can't handle a class action lawsuit. Better Nvidia being damn quiet about the burning 4090 Hell right now 🙂 From 16:30 And Nvidia trust own fire adapters more than real cables from 3rd party vendors. Isn't that cute?😀 "I tried again to see if another Nvidia rep will give me a different answer but I received the same statement "Please do not buy any third party cable. It may void your warranty". Will AMD screw up once again and offer high core counts processors every second year forwards? Mid-cycle upgrade will be for gaming and low end processors. If so, the AM5 platform longevity will be less of a value for those that prefer high core count AMD processors. And 8 cores Ryzen x800 series processors are replaced with x700 SKUs. It is reported that the lineup will have only two parts, an 8-core, and a 6-core variant. So it looks like we will be getting the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the Ryzen 5 7600X 3D more or less.

Hehe. For me it looks more light bluish White 🙂 Maybe the picture lure me. And yep, Asus should made an option so you could swap to white Q-code LED. Let it be red default but people should be able to change color. Edit. Checked also the pict on my phone. For me it look as llight blue White color. Also the clear tubing may lure me. I prefer all black and some white lights. Quite sure the tubing is to blame for the weird color (at least it looks weird for me). Yep the reflection from everything in the chassis may change somewhat the colors. Could also be the shadows. But when I see directly in the fans (part of it in the middle, not senter) I can see more or less white lights. Probably, the ligts and shadows from the photo shoot that melt into together. Even the water in the tubes have same bluish colors. Dificult for me to explain it better. The color in the chassis reminds me more about this... -

Mobile processors follow the same paths as for laptop graphics cards. Worse performance vs desktop counter parts. Worse in every way. Yep, they are cheaper. But you get a lot for the money. I often buy used parts to cut costs. More expensive doesn't always provide a huge gain. Some want the most expensive parts even if the gain is minimal.
