  1. Thanks my friend. Regarding new AIOs from Alphacool... Not so sure we will see a new one under CES 2023. They relased new AIOs right before 13th gen Intel processors in October 2022. Link below. For more information and to purchase, visit this page. Alphacool Unveils Core Ocean P38 AIO Liquid CPU Cooler techpowerup.com
  2. 4070Ti 33% more expensive than 3070Ti. Nvidia don't need miners to increase profits. They can do it themself. 4090 looking better and better for everyday. 4090 was below inflation rate vs 3090. So Nvidia could have done the same for the rest of the 4000 series SKUs if they really wanted. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti officially costs $799, launches January 5th https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-officially-costs-799-launches-january-5th ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For those of you who don't want to ruin your gaming/bench rig with Razer bloatware (if you use any of Razer accessories). You'll find proper scripts in the video to stop the bloat madness (if Razer is trying to bypass the usual blocks). https://youtu.be/OlFR6PeJA4U
  3. Little Norway within top 30th Hwbot Country ranking 2022🙂 Hwbot - League Ranking 2022 https://community.hwbot.org/topic/222581-league-ranking-2022/ Maybe. But still a failure going with a modest 1300W PSU, then brand it "Hall Of Fame".
  4. Why in earth did Galax go with abysmall 1300w for their "Hall Of Fame" PSU with dual 16-pin power connectors intended to be paired with their custom Galax 4090 GPUs with a +1000W vbios? Who will pay premium for a 1300w PSU? Kids or people with more money than brain? Or because of the tacky modern Apple white color? This is cost cutting at the worst. Galax could go with 1600w PSU if they really wanted offer something premium. But I expect they had to offer more ports on the PSU who cost money if they increased the power from 1300 to 1600w. What a Joke from a company that cater to oc'ers and enthusiasts. Galax Launches Dual 16-Pin Power 1300W Supply Galax’s new Hall of Fame 1300W PSU boasts twin 16-pin power connectors to make it a perfect color coordinated match with the Galax RTX 4090 HOF graphics card.
  5. LOOOL. New has to be better. Always. Why waste your precious time upgrade to the latest and flawed from Redmond only to get a more buggy and unstable system? Are people stupid bro @Ashtrix @Mr. Fox? For the records... You don't even need to have the latest Windows 10 version to come on par in performance. Intel "Raptor Lake" performance now equal in Windows 10 and Windows 11 Software today 15:42 A test by PCWorld shows that Intel's hybrid architecture now works about as well with Microsoft's two latest operating systems. Even gamer kids should be able to see that Microsoft only try to push you to the latest and greatest only to serve you more ads and push you into their Microsoft account and cloud money grabbing.
  6. Very nice rig bro @Ashtrix 🙂 Another option for the cooling... EVGA 280mm AIO. I have one of them. A fantastic AIO and you can get the next newest model. Almost no bling bling. Run and buy if you find one. And please post a few more pict of your machine. Happy New year to you bro Ashtrix 🙂 https://hwbot.org/submission/5159964_papusan_cinebench___r20_core_i9_13900k_17268_cb https://hwbot.org/submission/5159975_papusan_cinebench___r23_multi_core_with_benchmate_core_i9_13900k_44980_cb
  7. Could be they go back to Titan branding. AMD have nothing now that can compete... So minimum $3000 if they go with 48GB ram. Not so sure $2500+ for a 24GB Titan/Ti is so much better. Have said this before... But Nvidia won't try compete with their 4090 AIB cards at 2000$. So 2500$ as minimum if they keep same amount vRam as for 4090.
  8. And 3090Ti = Name change from Titan. So a lot cheaper than previous gen Titan cards. 3080 and 3080 Ti was their high end flagship Geforce gaming cards. Edit: GeForce RTX 3080: The New Flagship
  9. Why not? We talk about MSRP. Not scalper prices or cryptodicks.
  10. Could be the mods or fanboys at reddit want to delete my post....
  11. From worse to even more worse. AMD is in big trouble. AMD have screwed up for themself...
  12. Hard time being in the Red Camp.... No love from Microsoft either. Windows 11 22H2 Patch Tuesday apparently causing freezing issues on AMD Ryzen PCs neowin.com · 58 minutes ago 1 The final Patch Tuesday of 2022 on Windows 11 22H2 (KB5021255) is apparently causing issues on AMD Ryzen systems per some user reports. These users are reporting random 10-20 second freezes. After installing this update on Windows 11 22H2, our clients with AMD CPU's started to completly freeze up at random times for minuttes, then unfreeze again. This issue also happend after KB5019980, which we uninstalled. Now this update reintroduces this issue again. Uninstalling the new update, resloved the issue again. Unplugging/plugging USB devices will cause the system to resume again. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 4600GE (Lenovo M75Q Gen 2) Same type of clients on Windows 11 21H2, is not affected
  13. Smart move from AMD scrap the idea use the new modern 600W power connector. They probably saw that if they added +400w vbios for their MBA cards it would be a huge throttle show/fest😀 And I'm quite sure they have seen the same temperature behaviour/problem in the development/engineering of the new reference cards and just throw it out. They don't only test 3, 4, 5 or 10 cards before the production of the cards start up. 100% sure they relied on the 110C is within specs to cover their back when this fired back. And this is bad news for those that hope for more decent prices on new graphics cards. Will be fun see what AMD will do with own flawed design solutions. They themself said..... Recently, AMD took the leaf out of its mouth and confirmed that "a limited number of users are experiencing unexpected thermal throttling", urging them to contact AMD's support page. Alongside this official acknowledgment that something may be wrong. And Microsoft's never ending screw up's doesn't exactly help on the mood for the Red side of the fence....... Windows 11 22H2 Patch Tuesday apparently causing freezing issues on AMD Ryzen PCs This issue also happend after KB5019980, which we uninstalled. Now this update reintroduces this issue again. Uninstalling the new update, resloved the issue again. Unplugging/plugging USB devices will cause the system to resume again.
  14. They could relase only the 4090 to take of some of the thunder from AMDs new overpriced cards. No need to release 4080 when they know they have lots of Ampere silicon. Just try sell out all 3080 and release 4080 together with 4080@12GB-Scam 4070Ti early spring. Whats the point throw out 30-50.000 of 4080 to the retail shops only to fill up the shelves? If people don't buy them, Nvidia have to sell them at discount before or later. But there is a few stupids out there that is willing to pay mining prices, so......
  15. Mostly greed. Regarding Cpu prices.... AMD went damn greedy when Intel couldn't compete with amount cores. They was the first one to push mainstream chip up to $799. Yep, MSRP and AMD. Back in 2020 when AMD pushed out their 5950X the inflation was normal. So 90% greed and 10% inflation. Nvidia know AMD can't compete in features, hence they continue push ugly prices after the mining crash. And AMD know they can't surpass 1000$ price point so there they will be. They are happy they can play the same game as Nviidia without doing much (maximize profits). Nvidia could raise the prices with 15-20%. Not +70% as they did from 3080 to 4080. Thats greed. $699+20% = 838$. Not 1,199$ (Nvidia could sell it at $799,99 and still made good profits). And all the 4080 would sell out. Every single card. This isn't inflation. This is pure greed!
  16. And RTX 4070 Ti will be slower than both Radeon RX 7900 GPUs. What saves Nvidia's skin is the better features like RT. This card should never cost above 649$. This included the awful high inflatation. But AMD is also to blame for the awful new price points. 7900XT should be priced at $650. And nvidia will follow what AMD have done with the XT variant. To you all..... I hope the New Year will be better🙂 2nd in Enthusiast Season ranking 2022. Not bad with the old stuff. Papusan @ HWBOT
  17. Finally had some time test more with the fans from HELL. From what I can see... They provide almost nothing in increased cooling performance if you run they at full speed (4000rpm) vs lowering the speed down to 3000rpm or 3/4 of its rated speed. This just show they are not that quite power efficient above a certain speed. All they provide with max rpm is a faster cool down after full load and a hell lot more noise. Server fans in a PC chassis is not the best experience. They could of course do a good job in Dells overpriced Alienware gaming desktops who already have awful and inadequate cooling. But for me... Stamp = Failed. Amazing noisy and screamy compared to EK-Furious Vardar FF5-120 (3000rpm) or Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-3000 PWM fans. Yep, a very special noise sound compared to my favorite fans above.
  18. Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 laptop graphics will take a big leap in performance over its predecessor. A wopping 20% performance boost over RTX 3060 laptop graphics. Whats the point with this upgrade if it's true? Bro @Mr. Foxdon't you have the 3060 in your Jokebook? If so, will you jump on a ADA gaming book with the 4060 refresh? Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 laptop graphics card's 3DMark Time Spy benchmark score leaks online https://www.notebookcheck.net/Nvidia-GeForce-RTX-4060-laptop-graphics-card-s-3DMark-Time-Spy-benchmark-score-leaks-online.677472.0.html
  19. Latest news about 110C hotspot gate.... AMD Responds To RX 7900 XTX 110C Hotspot Issues
  20. Everything come at a price, brother. I bought a big Bacon Burger and 1/2L Coke on the gas station in the middle Christmas holidays. 238 Nok for the burger and 60 Nok for the Coke. kr298.00 = 30.50 USD Source: https://nok.currencyrate.today/convert/amount-298-to-usd.html Then do your math.... 238,- for the burger will be.... 28,71 USD🤢 Any higher at the gas station? Then multiply that by 4 for those who were in the car. More like 122,00 USD for 4 burgers and 4 Coke on the go. My gosh
  21. The main difference... Nvidia will go after the performance crown... How they do it, doesn't matter. AMD is here to make most profits. Max possible performance will come second or last. More sucky workmanship Asus bro @Mr. Fox New has to be better. Always. And Apex board is Asus OC boards for the bot. Want to bench SLI then Asus say.... Too old tech. And they still offer the old fashion PS2 connectors on the MB's I/O for installing older OS's from +12 years ago, LOOOL All cards here whatever brand have 5 years warranty. So what brand I buy doesn't matter for the warranty. Thanks. What with text and small details in games. 4K will suck for me. And with a smaller monitor below 29" it will make it even harder. 4K have its place. On my wall as main tv.
  22. I switched to second bios and flashed a new firmware. The newer version on bios 1 can’t be rolled back. Asus sucks hard… https://www.overclock.net/threads/official-asus-strix-maximus-z690-owners-thread.1794802/post-29104615 At least you know what to get from Asus.... The improvements come in v2004. The newest withdrawn v2301 from the server was meant to tune it further but Asus drag it too far with more bugs, LOOL The flashing went well and got back into bios then loaded bios default. I didn’t got the time to press enter and restart before the damn power blow out in the area and here home. Now sitting in the dreaded dark. 2 minutes earlier and I would sit with a bricked machine (2nd bios). Yep, flashing firmware in stormy Norwegian winter weather here home without a UPS is risk sport😁 The electricity is back now. This happens a lot here during the winter. All use a lot electricity to heat up their homes due the hard climate here. The machine booted up as expected. Two days ago I flashed 3 firmware versions for my sons new machine. This board have only one bios. No backup chips. But the version I flashed last will keep him up until his next platform upgrade. So works very well. Thanks god it wasn’t his machine I worked with now. Yep, with Asus messed up bios updates you’ll need a second bios chips because they avoid put a proper upgrade change log. Beta bios or the official one… All sucks!!! Sadly all brands sucks nowadays. None offer awesome.
  23. I mean the SP prediction was slightly different for KS vs K chips.
  24. Yep, different times now. Nvidia lead the direction. They offer same max TGP now for the FE edition as the best custom cards. They even offer higher TGP than what many of the AIC partners offer for their cheaper SKUs. I need find more reviews as thiis with several models against each other https://www.tweaktown.com/articles/10228/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4090-oc-shootout-asus-colorful-fe-msi-gainward/index.html Yep, If I keep the card and games being more taxing and we get faster processors I can see 1440P will match 4090 better. Maybe max out everything for now. But I need to take a look how 4K in 27” size match my eyes before I determine what to do . I have 60 days return policy for my new screen. The more potent of the well known brands OC editions is easier to sell used and this will reduce my losses vs. going for the cheapest non oc editions. So not much gaining go for the non oc edition if the price difference is minimal (100$). And the design will also count in for my second try on 4090. The Msi 4090 X Liquid had a very nice design. But as I already mentioned, it will be a aircooled card this time. Thanks to you both🙂
  25. Thanks. I want G-sync, to be able to sell it later in the used market. Easier to sell it for a good price. I buy new tech people want in the used market to reduce the loss. And I doubt I will save much money without it. I think 1440P is perfect. I have put up my sons system with the same monitor (we both bough the same due me wanted it and got the great deal). And jup, my son just had to listening on old pa, LOOL. And I really really like it. But then, he bought the weaker 3070 and not an 4090. I struggle to find monitors above 170hz in 1440P with or without G-sync. And most of the reviews of gaming monitors is with G-sync. Very high refresh monitors is mostly 1080P. And I won't go back to this. I hate curved screeens. I really really do. And the curved monitors with the special low but long design is awful. Have tested those in the shops. Huge nope from me. Thanks. I asked because many reviews say 4090 is a waste with 1440P. But I prefer monitors below 30" in size and 4K is probably worse to look at due my old eyes. Can't have everything in this world. 4K and easy to see all text. Even smaller details (in pict) etc will be a problem. Here is the different G-Sync screens Nvidia have on their page.... https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/ Me want only 27-29" and with G-sync and maximum high refresh at 1440P (4K). If I swap out the 1440P I have now it has to be with real G-sync or and with higher refresh rate. Same for 4K screen but minimum 144hz and real G-sync. If I can't reach those goals I will keep what I bought. And if the other monitor options will be too expensive then I will as well keep what I bought. Why non OC editions? Due the price? I like to thinker with performance, maybe not the best options for me then. And I won't save much money here home between non OC and the OC editions.
