First step, ordered while I had the chance......... Asus Rog Maximus Z790 Apex Encore. $902 USD ($720 without the dreaded 25% Norwegian tax). But I still can't see any 14900K in the shops. I'll continue follow up this one 🙂 This rehashed Z790 Apex board is 30% higher priced than Z690 Apex. In short same motherboards as the Z690 Apex with some minor/minscule changes. Again.... Disgusting. And the inflation in prices the last two years have been sub 10%. Not the awful 30% price hike as Asus now want. Edit. Yup. I don't jump on 13900KS after giving my MB and 13900K to my oldest son. I'll jump right on 14900K once they are released here home. And I'll need a new motherboard. Hope the so called #refreshed# boards is ready before 14th gen launch here home. The faster I get the parts, the faster my son can start upgrade his machine, so it won't be the 14900KS🙂 One thing for sure. The 13900K I have won't be an bottleneck for his 2080Ti.
