  1. Second one. SP105 (118/79) this time and MC58. So looks very low but match my memory sticks. I still prefer higher clock speed over fastest possible ram speed for my benches and hobby. But the scores I have done so far looks good. Close to 45000 in CBR23 with 59/48/50. At least this sample have okish E-cores that can easly run 4.8GHz. Thats something isn't it, Huhhh. Not sure I will bother with a 3rd one and return this. Could be I get an equal disgusting chips as the SP99 I got in same shipping. The chance is big getting SP100 and below. It's what it is. Now I need to clean up the SP99 for return to the shop. Or tomorrow. I use kapton tape to reduce the wear from the ILM. Better be safe than sorry. Not fun if they don't want this SP99 trash back due scratches🙂 Maybe we will see Intel offer more tops for the refresh as etc from 15th to 16th gen. Tops over real Cpu performance (more cores). Yup this goes the wrong way. Want tops bro @Mr. Fox? Instead of tick tock we get tick and tops, LOOL Be sure UL/Futuremark will have a bite of this AI craziness. AI benchmarks will be the next big. And you’ll get tops instead of points. AI Craze May Have Nerfed AMD’s & Intel’s Upcoming Chips: Strix APUs Originally Had Big Cache Which Boosted CPU & iGPU Performance 🤮🤔🤮 These AI blocks will take up large portions of valuable die space that could've been dedicated elsewhere such as higher core counts, higher iGPU counts, wider caches, and more but it looks like the AI PC craze has made chipmakers take a backseat on standard CPU / iGPU performance and focus more on the NPU side of things.
  2. Here's more disgusting from intel. SP99 (115+69) MC 81. Just as expected. Batch# X346P377T 🤮🤢🤮 For the time I'm still not in good shape but this doesn't make my mood better. This is just sad. And this defective KS fits correctly where it should. https://www.overclock.net/threads/overclocking-raptor-lake-refresh-14900k-14700k-14600k-etc-results-bins-and-discussion.1807439/post-29317725 This is where Intel should put their new binned KS chips. Should never ever have been shipped out from Intel factories.
  3. Hmmm. It seems Tomshardware tested 3 different models. They probably used only one of the contack frames. And we all know that the contact frame doesn't work equal good on every and different motherboards. Some will benefits from it and some offer nothing. Some even offer worse results. For the pict jockey @electrosoft😃 End results... The Black crocks will most likely offer me the best value. Remember new/newer doesn't always mean better, LOOL Both Batch# X346P377T - I mean it's same batch as bro @johnksss And this bought here home 10000km from any California store. The world is so damn small, LOOL
  4. Spot on. Many cards with full cover water block will weight more than 2Kg. Shorter card... Yes but still a heavy mass dangling from the PCIe slot. Arctic Liquid Freezer III AIO Review: To put it bluntly, the Liquid Freezer III is unimpressive Got 2.5 stars from Tomshardware. After installing and testing models in three different sizes, I can’t recommend Arctic’s Liquid Freezer III AIOs. My reply in the comment section.... "Who's right... Your or their reviews? Can it be a faulty product you got for the review? Thanks
  5. Did the firmware upgrade come before or after your problems? And have you tried a different Windows OS ? I mean an older one with older infuced microcode. If you have an spare ssd maybe worth test a couple of older Windows 10 and 11 versions and see how it goes. And don't upgrade them. Just install needed drivers/software in offline mode. Don't let Windows upgrade before you have done the testing.
  6. Checked if you have got an new microcode from Windows update?
  7. Got answer back from @safedisk But not for all my questions. As you can see... New/Newer doesn't always mean better @Mr. Fox @Rage Set https://www.overclock.net/threads/official-asus-strix-maximus-z790-owners-thread.1800191/post-29317351
  8. @Mr. Fox How is Asus quality? Or better say whats wrong with Asus? Does Asus sucks? Is this the normal you get from them all time? If you have read my older posts... Asus is one of the very few AIBs that offer halfmade vram colers that cover half of the vram chips. Also there you see cost saving on their best flagship models. And this also apply many older Asus models. Awful (engineering) decisions only with the intent of cost savings. Whats the point reuse the massive Asus 4090 cooler for their weaker 4080 cards when the Asus quality sucks? And the 4080 die is rotated vs 4090 so the big cold plate for the 4090 cooler barely fits the die. At least do a proper thermal paste job. Hmmm. Asus on it once again. And we can only advise Asus to tighten up its quality management a little more, because I had to give my RTX 4090 Strix a new paste because the old one had completely bled out. So it's anything but an isolated case, but rather an unnecessary cost-down on such expensive cards. Asus GeForce RTX 4080 TUF Gaming with serial error? Built-in hotspot ex works, material analysis and rescue This below is my comment/reply on OC.net We may see new bios (new microcode) and drivers faster than you think from Intel. This below doesn't look good. A good advice... Maybe try out with different microcodes. Worth test it if you have problems. @safedisk any comments on this? Thanks. In response to ZDNet Korea's inquiry about whether Intel was aware of the problem, Intel responded, "Intel is aware of problems that occur when executing certain tasks on 13th and 14th generation core processors for desktop PCs, and is analyzing them with major affiliates." Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs, game forced shutdown issues' More than 10 people a day come to the center and ask for exchange... Even if there is no problem, "Please change it" ZDNet Korea In response to ZDNet Korea's inquiry about whether Intel was aware of the problem, Intel responded, "Intel is aware of problems that occur when executing certain tasks on 13th and 14th generation core processors for desktop PCs, and is analyzing them with major affiliates." See also..... Weird problems suddenly out of the blue. All this happening now is probably a nasty mess from Intel and their trash partner Microsoft. @chew great GB3 results 🙂
  9. Hmmm. This is not big cards. Not very heavy or very long cards. I never use sag-bracket on my older but still big cards when I run them. I only use support stick for the 4090. Maybe some don't bother screw the cards bracket to the I/O slots. They are more like dangling in the boards Pcie slot. Thats worse of a sin🙂
  10. Here's the latest updated list of apps you should install😀 From today 7th April 2024 German blog Deskmodder has dug into the appraiser.sdb file in build 26100 and discovered that Microsoft expanded it with new programs that could theoretically block you from getting to Windows 11 version 24H2. The list includes apps like StartAllBack and ExplorerPatcher, which Microsoft recently blocked on 24H2 builds. Here are the apps that could block you from upgrading to Windows 11 version 24H2 A closer look into the system files in Windows 11 version 24H2 (build 26100) revealed a list of apps that could theoretically block your system from getting to the upcoming update.
  11. LOOL. Yup, we are come to April 7. Not the fools day. Anyway... Known that RGB can screw up your memory sticks firmware. Let the (gamer) kids have more of the bling bling. They got what they wanted🤮🤮🤮 Regardless whats the problem (dust) or real... The (a)RGB race need to be stopped. Gamers report memory RGB lights are damaging GPU backplates A bling-bling UV burn? LOOOL Todays HW/Software/Design engineers and gamer kids.... Edit. We can continue talk about disgusting. I'm not keen jump on any $5000 USD e-waste. Nope. Not in Hell.
  12. Microsoft confirms caching issues in Windows 10 KB5034203 and newer updates Microsoft has updated the official Windows documentation with details about a newly discovered bug in the recent Windows 10 updates. According to the company, some Windows 10 devices within enterprise networks might experience problems with using Microsoft Connected Cache nodes, resulting in an increase in download traffic from the public internet
  13. Microsoft blocks even more customization apps in Windows 11 version 24H2 StartAllBack, a popular tool for tweaking the taskbar and Start menu in Windows 11, was among the first to fail on 24H2. Sadly, it is not the only one. ExplorerPatcher also no longer works in Windows 11 24H2. Microsoft quietly installing KB5035942 Moment 5 features to your Windows 11 23H2 PC Microsoft is currently working on the next major Windows 11 feature update, version 24H2. According to reports, the update should be available to the public around the usual expected time, i.e., September or October 2024. The reports also add that Release to Manufacturers (RTM) is very close, and as such, the recent Insider build 26100 is from the RTM branch. Users have found some breaking bugs in it that were not documented by Microsoft in the build's release notes.
  14. Intel Core i9-12900K, i7-12700K, i5-12600K Available In Amazing Combo Deals: 32 GB Kit & Z790 Motherboard Starting At $250.... Core i9-12900K: ASUS Z790-P PRIME / 32 GB DDR5 / $399.99 US
  15. Of course. Because they wanted the same as Apple. A big Store, as well sell own smartphones and mini-books. At least Apple don't make a single OS for their phones, tablet and desktops. Microsoft wanted a single uni-sex OS (all in one). That's disgusting. And Windows never recovered as a real desktop OS from their failure with their trash phones. In short put the blame on Apple.... They triggered Microsoft, LOOL
  16. Quite easy to understand.... Intel binned for the P-core 6.2 GHz boost target. Same was it when they binned (6.0 GHz) for the 14900K. This way (all boys and girls) could see the +6.0GHz target in brief moments. Just pump in more voltage so all can enjoy "words fastest" Cpu. Same as their first gen i9 mobile scam with i9-8950HK with "Thermal Velocity Boost" which allows one core to boost to 4.8 GHz (+200 MHz) as long as the CPU temperature was below 50°C. Big clocks for burst loads. Can't do that with E-cores. So why should they bother? Even with trash E-cores in the KS, they all could get the 100MHz bump over vanilla 14900K. So Intel "forgot" to bin the whole chips. Edit.
  17. Epic Games is giving away two triple-A games for free this week Epic Games has launched a new game giveaway, this time covering two titles. Available between today and April 11, the free games deal covers The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition and Thief
  18. LoL. Microsoft still just don't get it. Are Redmond HQ filled with stupids? Of course most people prefer to avoid the new and messed up. The only way Microsoft can steal people from Win 10 and over to Win 11 is to make older Win 10 less appealing forwards. 21. EK Water Blocks Introduces NGP Thermal Paste PRESS RELEASE Today, 17:55 EK, the leading computer cooling-solutions provider, proudly announces the launch of the EK-Loop Thermal Paste NGP (5 g), a thermal interface material meticulously engineered for enthusiasts seeking efficient thermal transfer between high-end components and their cooler of choice. The EK-Loop Thermal Paste NGP utilizes nano-grade particles, ensuring effective heat transfer between CPUs, GPUs, and other chipsets and their respective cooling mechanisms, such as water blocks and heatsinks. The cornerstone of the EK-Loop Thermal Paste NGP is its Nano Grade Particles (NGP) technology, which ensures very low thermal impedance and excellent applicability. These nano-grade particles are engineered to form an ultra-thin layer between the heat source and the cooler, promoting effective heat dissipation. The low thermal impedance is important as it allows the paste to effectively transfer heat away from critical components like CPUs and GPUs, minimizing the risk of overheating and supporting overall system performance. MSRP: €9.90. For more information, visit the product page.
