  1. And with no rollback as Asus and Dell usually offer with their fantastic firmware updates then you see where I go with “Newer has to be better”. Disgusting! And then you have the sleeper in the background try offering new bios updates to everyone from Win update servers then you can see what a disaster this can be with a oc’d system (without power backup as an UPS). BUT THE MODERN COMPUTER USERS IS STILL HAPPY THEY GET ALL THE HELP THEY CAN GET WITH FIRMWARE UPDATES. They want it so we all should be treated equally. I can freeze in the hot weather here of all this, LOOL
  2. Just beautiful… Newest is always better. What a joke. Intel Microcode Caused “Unsupported CPU” BSOD Issue, New BIOS With Updated Microcode Coming Soon https://wccftech.com/intel-microcode-unsupported-cpu-bsod-issue-new-bios-updated-microcode-fix-soon/ Intel's own microcode has been found to be the culprit causing various "Unsupported CPU" BSOD issues on 13th Gen CPUs & the company is already working on a new microcode.
  3. Yup I waited on this one, @Rage Set a smash in the face for offering trash quality. Exactly as I have said the whole time. Who’s next following suit? Nice see that this being pointed out. I stand with my statement. Avoid custom cables and adapters. You risk all too much. And many companies that offer custom cables/adapters won’t help you out once you’re screwed by trash quality and QC problems. So nice that owners of MSI cards finally don’t need to crawl and begging MSI support for help anymore. Just go directly to Cablemod support. Hope they can offer a refund within a few days. Then try the silicon lottery a second time. Maybe you have the new card within 4 weeks. And the new revision of ADA 102 chips has to be better. Always @ryan MSI won’t cover the RMA because of the use of the CableMod 12VHPWR power adapter. https://videocardz.com/newz/msi-rejects-graphics-card-rma-claim-due-to-use-of-a-cablemod-12vhpwr-adapter The hardware influencers on YouTube and websites should stop push recommendation depending on how much they get paid. And hidden payments is an awful practice. They all do this whatever they say No or yes. Igorslab etc should be ashamed! Same with Jayz and many others. Ps. Se my ranting about lack of quality in my previous posts. They are spot on. As always bro @ryan😎
  4. Cutting edge tech is too difficult for engineers. Just the normal nowadays. Microsoft ain’t the only company that have sloopy engineers. We pay huge premium above inflation but get lackluster workmanship back in the face. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/gigabyte-motherboard-firmware-update-saving-your-ddr5-ram-from-corruption
  5. Why will Asus only partially refund the smoked card? Any reason for this half-baked solution? Hope Cablemod pay the rest to cut their losses? That’s greedy bro @Mr. Fox Or pretty shady practice. Either they refund every cent or throw him under the bus and let Cablemod pick up the pieces. Disgusting. And Cablemod continues with their QC problems. Several of the same last +3 months. Same with their adapters. Cut costs will always come at a price. Such mess is rarely seen from higher end PSU manufacturers. They don’t want to gamble with their reputation. Cheap Chinese PSU companies will do but not a quality company. And Cablemod only deal with the unknown Chinese companies https://ibb.co/VT69Y9Y For me… No thanks. I rather stay with the OEM cables. Not cheapo made products to max out profits everywhere.
  6. I think bro Kojack meant 1500$ for a graphics card is 🤮 You should be able to get a decent pc for same 1500$ if it wasn’t for the greed. The inflation shouldn’t stop you from getting such setup. The greed stops you. Etc +71% price hike isn’t inflation. Look at you 4080 vs 3080. That’s greed 😉 only the 4090 was kept under inflation goals. The rest of Nvidia’s lineup was purely greed. Same for the two Radeon 7900 graphics SKUs. Again exactly the same for motherboards. 40-50% upwards since Z590. Newest MSI Z790 refresh with the X moniker get another nice 15% on top of previous Z790 Skus from last year. Barely better but 15% more expensive. So today’s word has to be greeed. Not inflation 🙂 And enjoy the time with the lille. No more gaming for you bro Jaybee😁
  7. I have no time spend 8 hours a day for gameing. Maybe 1/2 an hour to 3 quarters. That’s max when I have the time for this, LOOL And not everyday. Maybe 2 times a week when I have the time, HaHa My dogs would kill me if I have done the same as you brother. Also my wife. Maybe I have been kicked out of our house with the head and face in front , LOOL
  8. Yup, sad people can’t see the truth. All is about placebo. The real numbers show the truth. Then you have the tweaking the power enthusiast do on top of already snappier OS. The average Joe just can’t see how it should work. They are happy with lackluster. But that’s expected. You just can’t wake up a dead man after a car crash.
  9. Hi Aaronne. Very long time since I have heard from you. How long? 3 years? Nice you could come here and say hi. Best regards Papusan
  10. My first (Amd) Radeon graphics card was Radeon X800 XT and X850 XT. Dead. 7970 still alive and my 6870 is dead. My history with AMD. For Nvidia… Gigabyte 1070 and 570 Dead. The GTX 570 was a very good binned Gainward card. This brand does it best in reliability tests. Still couldn’t keep up with my bench hobby. Have loads of cards in my shelves but I avoid AMD, not only because of what it is. Here me Scott Herkelman (HMSCOTT). You can’t win me back. You and Azor destroy your brand. Nvidia or no graphics cards. Can’t have it both. I can live with both the latter but no new Radeon cards on me. Only cheapo old sub 50$ AMD cards.
  11. One of many reports the last years…. But people think newer has to be better. It’s called placebo. Or just malware infected OS. You can’t fix stupid. The sad part… So called smart ass or so called experts can’t see what’s wrong. Maybe they are blind? https://www.neowin.net/amp/windows-11-vs-10-its-not-just-intels-fault-as-microsofts-latest-os-is-less-snappy/
  12. HeHe. I know. I just read tests as the devil read the Bible 🙂 see here. My son used another OS version. He have a jokebook while he pass up our dog while we are on our 1 month vacation. He pinged me up and wondered why the 12500H needed loads of more wattage than his other pc setup home in games. Nothing is always easy to explain, but how the OS behaves is one of the culprits. Not just that he use an jokebook. A combo of two cancers paired together is enough 🙂 Fyi. Søppel in Norwegian is Garbage in English. https://ibb.co/ns0stZT
  13. Here you have a problem as well. Linux ain’t best in everything (performance). This is tested. So no OS offer perfection. Same with the different Windows versions. You just can’t have it all. And that’s damn sad. Microsoft could have done so much better. But prefer work with things a core OS don’t need. They also could optimized the OS much more for performance/snappiness. They have the tools and the skills but they don’t use it fully.
  14. One example. I don’t use it but Microsoft say etc use game mode to reduce services for etc gaming. Why they say so…. Because Windows has services and tasks that kick in and out. Lower service and tasks usually improve snappiness and offer more stable high performance. And that’s even from the stupids at Microsoft that put in more and more unnecessary tasks. Better way do this is tweaking or find the os version that you feel you get a gain from. But no newer OS versions offer better experience in all tasks and applications vs others. Unisex (best in everything) is dead for windows OS. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/games-apps/game-setup-and-play/use-game-mode-gaming-on-pc
  15. You forget snappiness. How fast you go in and out from tasks etc. You can only measure this if you have a multi-boot system with several OS to test. Equal important for some. If you etc render a scene with 2 or 20 or 59 seconds difference after the job is done isn’t that important. Again people have different needs and some feels the difference between their different systems. And there is benchmarks that simulate real computer work. Can’t diminish that. Just hit up pudget test procedures and tests. Then it needs to be tested between the different OS setups. A multi-boot setup is perfect for that.
  16. Spot on. Hardware is already dead on arrival. Look at me nvidia and your sucky 4060 (xx60 series cards) which usually is the Steam gamer kids cards. Now not good enough anymore. Jensen wants 1199$ to fulfill your gaming dreams. If you have two or three tens home this will cost you near 2400-3600$ if you don’t buy them an console. Happy you are an middle age man and with grown up kids bro @Mr. Fox? I’m. If I see the numbers correctly on my small phone. The vram problem with 8GB cards isn’t the main problem here. Just a crappy optimized game that needs the best of the best to run with good enough/stable fps. I could understand a game running awful if you hit the vram buffer all time but if the game still runs as trash on barely 3 years old mid class hardware without this vram limitation then it’s awful. So in short.., Hardware will now have a lifespan at max 2 years cadence. That’s the awful here. And intended!! New hardware is already old when you buy it. You can’t even have a good experience with 500-600$ graphics cards anymore. Perverse! And I’m not sure you can have a nice experience with previous gen cards as 3080(10GB) that nvidia said was their brand new 4K cards. What a joke. People should stop buying new modern graphics cards. Only spend a few dollars on consoles. This is the only fix for the situation we are in (for gamers). $500 cards useless…. 1199$ cards is 70% overpriced so very very bad value. 4090 not that massive price increase over previous gen but still bad value. What’s left?
  17. Tell me your hardware specs and I’ll post some benchmarks numbers you can try compete against. Maybe we could start first with your desktop hardware. So happy benching :) Fyi. Click one of the hwbot links in my signature and you can search up whatever hardware you want to compare with. Etc i9-13900k will be more like i9 13900K in the top search bar on hwbot. They have above 50 different benchmarks you can try only for the processor. Many benchmarks works as real world tests🙂
  18. They could do a lot better but the temping money shifting hands is what’s driving them. See… this. A few months old 4060 and 4060Ti isn’t good enough for coming games. Willed policy. Paid by the hardware manufacturers and the big devil Microsoft. New hardware is old hardware. You need to buy the latest and greatest if you want to play. And even that isn’t good enough. You need minimum 4070Ti or better. 4080 price is what all should pay to play. In short… Greedy devils! Edit. Hope everyone understand my English these vacation days. I post text directly from my head and with my not perfect English. I don’t use any translator. So bare with me if you don’t understand everything. Just reply back and ask for clarification if something isn’t clear 🙂 I understand everything in English but my writing isn’t perfect.
  19. LOOL This is going to be some good irony if it really turns out to be true that AMD CPUs fall way behind in Starfield. https://www.overclock.net/threads/official-nvidia-rtx-4090-owners-club.1800847/post-29232852
  20. Thanks 🙂 My wife tried every day. And they said all is rented out. I don’t like if people don’t fully respect the people that pay their bills. It’s more costly for the apartment if people rent AC. The apartment usually don’t offer this service because of the increased electricity cost (why all apartments don’t have AC is because the weather is normally 26-28C aka not the warmer place on earth - perfect microclimate). But I stepped up in the reception myself today and I’m usually good to talk for myself and in the language they understand and the receptionist had to take a call. Wips they comme up with one within minutes 🙂 And as a fyi I don’t want trade any of my all black crocs bro electro, LOOL Edit. As a note. Not allowed to post about alcohol. But I got a gift on the table in my bungalow when we was out eating. I asked the reception about a bottle whine. They didn’t know. Later the receptionist contacted me. A gift from the cleaners. I was baffled. I treat all people well. But this was an surprise. Some people are their own league. And the cleaners here is very bad paid (from North Africa and spain). Still this guest. Amazing. Some like/likes me 🙂
  21. Old Papusan https://ibb.co/ZNwcHWj Finally….. 🙂 https://ibb.co/4NNB04j
  22. Dang. Graphics cards is in reality cheap hardware. MB was damn expensive when they launched for Alder lake. Now a new high with the Raptor refresh. Only 15% more expensive with almost no gain. https://wccftech.com/msi-z790-max-motherboard-prices-leaked-meg-godlike-max-costs-more-than-rtx-4080-rx-7900-xtx/
  23. Most consumers/gamers use Home/Pro. And most info is about those versions. I expect the Enterprise has more restrictions already baked into gpedit/registry. Etc my LTSC versions haven’t been plagued much with this Microsoft introduced mess. + tweaked LTSC OS help on this as well. And my different Win 11 test os is tweaked as well.
  24. LOOL. Everyone is allowed to tell how they feel about Win11. Both on good and bad. This thread is mainly to inform people about Windows 11 in its current form. And Win 11 haven’t changed much since release. This is a news thread also. Ps. I’m the thread creator. And the thread have 18.4k views 🙂 Microsoft's incessant Windows ads are getting out of control | PCWorld for 1 døgn siden — Now, not only is Microsoft nagging Windows 10 users to upgrade, but as The Verge documents, new Microsoft ads are springing up on the Windows 11
  25. Yees, as I expected and predicted. But this isn’t good enough. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-rtx-4060-ti-16gb-price-drop Is a $50 premium for the extra VRAM more acceptable? Nvidia's RTX 4060 Ti 16GB Price Drops $50 at Retail, Ahead of AMD Launch
