Still 50$ too expensive. Is this the answer from Nvidia to Radeon 7800XT? Nvidia can't burn in with loads of the low/mid end chips. They can't be used for AI and need to go out from their shelves. Same with the 4060/4060Ti chips. Remember Nvidia struggle with delivering of AI chips due their packaging problems that will last until middle 2025. So they still need the sales of gamer cards. At least the AI bonza don't destroy for the gamer Jockey's in nearest time. Some of them screw it up for themself😬 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPUs have seen their price drop in the US to $549 Read more: https://www.tweaktown.com/news/93299/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-gpus-have-seen-their-price-drop-in-the-us-to-549/index.html In a statement supplied to Wccftech, NVIDIA PR notes, "Today, the GeForce RTX 4070 is widely available from just $549," citing brands like ASUS, GIGABYTE, and MSI. "This is a great choice for gamers looking to upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and other upcoming DLSS 3.5 titles, such as Alan Wake 2, at 1440p," the statement continues. Edit. GeForce RTX 4070 vs. Radeon RX 7800 XT techspot.com | September 13, 2023 Summary: 😁 It's worth mentioning, we also encountered stability issues with the Radeon 7800 XT, with frequent crashes in F1 23 using the high preset, which is odd as "ultra high" seemed to work fine. Cyberpunk 2077 also proved unstable, especially with ray tracing. It's challenging to determine whether this was an isolated issue or related to the current driver. We did spend several hours trying to solve the issue without success, and interestingly the Radeon 7900 XT didn't exhibit these stability concerns, leading us to believe that the issue might be linked to the 7800 XT's initial driver release. Hmmmm. @Mr. Fox -

The performance uplift is from native The Resizable BAR profile in the GeForce driver I think. If you enabled it in Nvidia Inspector previously you may not see any performance gains. https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-driver-update-should-improve-starfield-performance-for-many/ -

Yup, this is the fix from nvidia l have waited on since the first fried 4090 popped up. New silicon revision only to fix the 12VHPW connector failure, LOOL The revised 12+4 power connector for the new 4090s wasn’t enough. And the angled adapter failure from CM didn’t make it better with the increased amount of burned up 4090s. Defective products from etc Cablemod is one of the main drivers for nvidia to castrate own cards. Thanks CM. The next fix will be worse! With time they will do the same as they did for Maxwell graphics cards. Cap the voltage at max default with drivers for all revisions of cards. So soon you’ll have to say goodbye to an working voltage slider. Nice. The nvidia way fix own engineering/design flaws. Equal disgusting as the weather home. Got this one from my son. Temps go down to 2C as coldest with rain and probably +90% humidity. Here down 28C with full sun. A lot needs to be fixed with Starfield so I expect Intel will be on their own. Sadly, there's no real way at this time to prevent traversal stuttering in Starfield. Even on the low-quality preset, the game suffers from SSD-bound traversal stuttering issues. Hopefully, Bethesda will discover this problem and figure out how to optimize the game better for SSDs. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/badly-optimized-ssd-usage-starfield-traversial-stutter -

First AMD processors crashing in the game. Now time for bugs with AMD graphics. Do we see the stars with the newest Nvidia graphics cards as 4000 series? And do we even need see all the stars?🤐 Be sure you have a spare older Nvidia graphics card if you want to experience the whole game, LOOL Newest is always better @ryan😂 The user also reported that he was able to resolve the issue by simply swapping in his AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. It should be remembered that Bethesda and AMD partnered together to optimize the experience for Ryzen and Radeon GPU owners. https://wccftech.com/starfield-is-seemingly-missing-entire-stars-when-running-on-amd-radeon-gpus/ And maybe 3rd time have it’s sharm… Nice seeing people have the time for this. Me sitting outside Africa’s coast and ordered a new “old card” for my hobby. On the used market home 5000km from down here(now sold to me). Internet is an beautiful thing. Yep, I’m sure bro @electrosoftjust sit waiting for new pics of my all black crocs, HeHe🙂 Around 85$. Or same price as for 100 of my cigars (+20 every day will in the end kill me - but I have now bought a new kit electric cigar to try reduce my addiction for good cigars). Asus bro @Mr. Fox😳 My old Giga 1070 G1 couldn’t keep up with my hobby. So dead. Hope this one lasts longer, HaHa Asus Rog 1070 Strix OC. 10% of new price. Yep, old has it’s advantage. I’m happy with old things. Don’t need be the newest and shiny. And you can still game with it bro @ryan And I still have my 4090 Hof, so.., An ok’ish choice when my middle son/daughter visits me. A 1080Ti would of course be better but those are still expensive in the used market. I don’t like spending too much. My two 980Ti or 980s could of course works but why not? I’m an collector so I probably have 20 cards in the shelves now. Next purchase will probably be a new used system(Z370 or newer). Intel of course. I wish I could find an Clevo(Multicom) X170 at a cheap price here home. Still looking. It’s mine now 🙂 https://www.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.html?finnkode=318701131 -

Hi bro John. Hope all is well. Old me enjoying the sun and 27C all days in Canary Islands. Home is 8-10C and lots of rain (info from my kids home). The fall has already started. Nothing of this cold weather here. Only slow days with something good to eat and drink. Have already ordered next year’s summer vacation when me and wife is here. Faster than ever before. Usually we order the 1 month summer vacation at the end of the year. But this time we wanted to be sure we can have the same next year as we have it now. I enjoy every day. And this time we have made it sure we’ll have an AC from day one next year🙂 So best greetings from the sunny side outside Africa coast. But I’m sure the sun is equal warming in the west side of U.S. And probably hotter than here as well. For me… 25-28C is probably enough. I’m not made for more than this, LOOL -

3rd Intel driver within a week and still no fun. Bethesda support and dev team should be ashamed for their corporation/support with Intel. It seems Intel are on their own. No in hell Nvidia would have a game ready driver long time before the game released without help from the game dev team. Who’s the devil here? AMD or Bethesda? Or both? When the game debuted, Intel failed to release a game-ready driver in time for the game's early access launch. Due to a lack of driver support. We doubt Stafield director Todd Howard or any of his Starfield team members would say the same thing about the Arc A770. Nonetheless, this is a serious error made by the Bethesda support team and needs to be remedied as soon as possible. Bethesda's support representative implied that all Arc GPU owners with problems must upgrade to an AMD or Nvidia card to run the game. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/intel-drops-third-starfield-driver-as-bethesda-claims-a770-doesnt-meet-min-specs LOOL. Also not so fun with AMD. Ryzen CPUs in focus Although some owners of Intel processors also complain about sudden crashes, the majority of those affected have a Ryzen CPU installed. Certain moments in the game seem especially crash-prone, such as getting the watch from Barret or talking to certain NPCs. Unfortunately, the crashes are reproducible — so the next time you try to start the conversation, the computer crashes again. This is particularly annoying because AMD is the “exclusive PC partner” of Starfield. The company worked hand in hand to optimize the game as best they could on the Xbox Series X/S as well as on modern Ryzen CPUs and Radeon GPUs. https://www.pcworld.com/article/2060777/starfield-frequent-crashes-this-is-the-cause.html -

The question will be… How much work will Intel put into this mess if their audience is business? From my previous link from Tomshardware. They’ll try but maybe don’t expect miracles due how it already works. I still think this graphics card will need tuning months forwards. And game dev can continue tune the game opposite way of what to expect with Arc graphics. Aka damage control by AMD and their partner Bethesda. I may play the devil’s advocate here but I don’t trust what’s happening in tech world. And I’m not naive and have followed tech industry the last +two decades. Have seen too much disgusting. Also still MIA: Intel Arc Alchemist. Those have been out for over a year now, at least in some parts of the world. So far, neither the desktop nor mobile Arc variants have made an appearance on the Steam survey, despite nabbing a fairly significant chunk of the global GPU market according to JPR. Maybe all of those Arc GPUs are ending up in business PCs? Yup. Nvidia still needs some sales to the gamers. If they can’t deliver on AI then they need a place to throw away their geforce gaming chips. This tech doesn’t need same packaging technology. And nvidia, Intel and AMD have enough chips for the gamer jockey’s. Buy with your head. Not with your heart if you’re an gamer. https://www.techspot.com/news/100084-ai-gpu-accelerators-short-supply-two-more-years.html Speaking with Nikkei, TSMC chairman Mark Liu said that the AI accelerator shortage isn't caused by a lack of AI chips designed by Nvidia. The current market situation mostly depends on TSMC's own limited capacity with CoWoS packaging. In short they still need the gamers. They all are greedy —- devils -

I wonder how many 4060/4060Ti chips nvidia will burn in with. 7700XT was expected to fail. Hope AMD can produce loads of 7800XT’s https://www.pcgamer.com/early-numbers-indicate-amds-7800-xt-gpu-is-a-hit-the-7700-xt-not-so-much/ Yup, but both intel and AMD will gear up forwards. Nvidia have enough chips but the packaging problems hamper them 1.5 years forwards. This problem won’t affect gamer cards. Burning In with mid range gamer cards that struggle to sell is what I hope for. But AMD needs to deliver. You can’t rely on Intel for graphics cards now. They are useless as of now. Smart move from AMD, game devs and Azor. They have done their homework pretty well. Pushing Intel into the cold. Hope Intel finds out of this and hit back. -

They all will have a bit of the big cake. Bethesda is now a M$ company. All this was doomed to happen. Will be nice seeing Intel’s response on this mess…. You can play the game with Nvidia card from 2015/16 but not newer modern graphics cards. New/newer has to be better bro @ryan nvidia bad? Say hello to AMD. We are flooded with subscriptions. And the prices go up well beyond inflation. For Norway. 17 and up above 25%. Not only Jensen is greedy. Intel graphics got no love. According to Bethesda's support team, PC players playing Starfield using an Intel ARC GPU might have problems running the game as Intel's GPUs don't meet Starfield's minimum system requirements. I wonder how it feels being screwed with an not so old graphics card. They still sell them on web stores. But probably a good graphics card for only showing up desktop and connecting more screens. Why not call it a screen card and not graphics cards? https://wccftech.com/bethesda-intel-arc-gpus-starfield-requirements/ The message from Bethesda Support reads. "Since you do not meet the minimum system requirements for running this game, the troubleshooting steps we can provide are limited, as some troubleshooting steps “could potentially cause damage to your system”. As covered yesterday, Bethesda's Starfield Director Todd Howard said that the team optimized for PC, and those claiming this isn't the case, should consider upgrading their system. "We did, it's running great", Howard said when asked in an interview about PC optimizations. "It is a next-generation PC game. I wonder what the Steam gamer kids with 4060/4060Ti @8GB cards will be told when the cards being 1.5 years from now. Nvidia,Intel, M$, Game devs and AMD offer planned obsolescence. You shouldn’t have your hardware longer than max two years cadence. -

4090 should have never been released. Should have been a Titan card. Geforce gaming should have stopped at 3080 Ti and 20GB vram for 1099$. No gaming card’s should have been above 1099$. So 700$ for the top dog Radeon and 3080 🙂 In absolutely worst case… 1199$ for the best 4K gaming card from Nvidia (102 die). -

Nvidia just do the same as AMD did with Ryzen 9 5950X. They all will do the same if they have the chance. I look on MSRP prices. Amd wanted 1000$ for a card that should have costed 700$ two years ago. They slided in that disgusting 1K because that should steal sales from the 4080 scam prices. And what with the 7900XT Joke? Disgusting. Yup, 4080 price is a huge failure. And I don’t defend the price point for 4090. But this was the only card I wanted from nvidia this gen. The rest is of nvidias lineup is either perverse overpriced or castrated. And I don’t touch AMD with a 10 feet pole. Not easy buy tech products as it is now. And have you ever seen NVIDIA offer a huge performance uplift as 3% above previous gen cards? That’s Intel level but for graphics cards. Yup, nvidia also tricked with this gen cards. 4060 should have been 4050. -

I don’t want support this with my money. Nope. Not me. And AMD try always follow Nvidia’s prices. Yep, slightly lower but if they have the chance they will do as they did with Ryzen 9 5950X. First mainstream processor matching $800 due no competition. They are not any better than Nvidia. Greedy bastards that aren’t willing to try be on top. Just tune prices so high they can vs what they offer. And what with the performance uplift for some of their SKUs. 3-5% above it’s predecessor two years ago. A joke! And the last nail… I won’t support help paying Fu. Azor’s paycheck. Nope. Not me. Yup. No in hell I support Azor. More than good enough reason to avoid AMD. Value and Conclusion Only small gen-over-gen performance improvement. but AMD has placed a non-functional dummy die here instead, to provide structural stability. Oc’ing From here on slowly reduce maximum voltage until your card becomes unstable running benchmarks or games. Undervolting is a must for RDNA3, because that will free up some power headroom for the clock algorithm to push frequencies higher. These cards typically get unstable around 950 mV, so there's a lot of headroom (the default is 1.15 V). https://www.techpowerup.com/review/powercolor-radeon-rx-7800-xt-hellhound/40.html -
