It's a crap shoot. My son was telling me to not eat wheat for a while because of inflammation issues I was having/ am having. Then, after the event, he said you really need to stop now. I was thinking more environmental than food, that's why the Doctor wasn't pinpointing anything.

Thanks. It was scary for quite a while. Took him a day of thinking to figure it out. Then I was lying in the hospital bed and he said it to me. Then I started thinking back to what I ate before every attack. Yep. Pizza 2 times (check), a nice wonderful burger (check), a large cinnamon bun (check), a mcdouble (check). A sandwich with whole wheat bread, deli meats and mayo (check check check). I stopped wheat right away and started watching everything that went down my stomach. Knock on wood, I have only had one reaction since, and that was to test our theory. I ate some perogies and sure enough, hives again. I gave me some fuel for my passions again too. Photography, videography, travelling, mountain biking, kayaking and computers. So, there was lots of good that came from it as well.

So, on Christmas eve, I went into anaphylactic shock. I was having allergic reactions to something for a year and a half and could not figure it out. This last one was very hard on myself and my family. I started having the normal reaction of hives, itchy skin, and shortness of breath, but this one hit me way different. I was passing out on the bed and not staying conscious. My wife went to call my oldest son to come home and bring me to the emergency room, but things went down hill fast. I felt like I was going to shat myself (the last conscious thought that I had) and I bolted to the bathroom. Got in there and collapsed and that was it. I was out. She called the ambulance to help me. I cannot remember anything after that until I could hear one of the paramedics say "I am going to give you a second epinephrine shot. I agreed. They put the blood pressure cuff on me and hit the button. The second paramedic said "oh my god". At that point I said what? she said I am not allowed to tell you anything. So they got me to the point where I was able to get to the stretcher to get in the ambulance. She called in my vitals. my bp was 55/30. I get to the hospital, and the ER doctor on staff told me after I was somewhat stabilized that if the ambulance was 2 mins longer I would be dead or they would be using the defibrillator on me. It was the lowest BP that he has seen in 10 years of anyone who wasn't dead. My son who completed a human kinetics/sports/recreation degree in university looked at me and said stop eating wheat. Well he was right. I have wheat allergies that do not show on an allergy test. I cannot drink alcohol anymore (Cannabis is fine, thankfully since I use it to combat arthritis and ADD. I just got my official prescription for it) and I have to watch the label on every food I buy now. But I am thankful that I am here, and we know what to do. The doctor gave me epi-pen prescriptions and another new drug called Ruupaul (YASSS- Work it!). I have lost over 20 lbs since this happend and I am breathing much better because of simbicort and the fact that I am not having complete body inflammation. All in all it was an eventful past few months. I am happy to be coming out the other side alive, healthy and well. Just wanted to give you all an update why I have not been around in a long time.

Acer AC100 mini server upgrade/mods. Should be interesting

So, after messing around to get this system working the way I want, it seems that the OS installer will see the drive and install the OS on it, but it will not boot from this drive. I do have the latest bios installed. I am not sure if there are any other settings in the bios I am missing. -
Totally! Knew it would be good!

Take's a keen eye like mine. I had a near death health episode on December 24th. Basically 2 min away from dead near death....I cannot eat out anymore (wheat allergy) so my overall health has taken and upswing as a result. 20 lbs gone since December 24th and much more active. So when I see a street full of shat food I notice everything now.

Still can't get mine to recognise the drive in TrueNAS. All is not lost however, as there may be a setting I am missing. I never had much time to dive into it. Been busy as..... -
You are missing the best part of that image. The fact there is an Urgent Care Hospital in the middle of all the fat burger joints. That's the real kicker! ha ha.

Got the wifey into the Pixel! Ordering 2 8s, with watch 2 asap.

4 months in of constant use for both of us and we LOVE these devices. They are so far ahead of what our iPhones were in imaging, display and overall use. We are extremely happy with them, and the wife said she's never going back to apple again! Woot. A win for me! -
Update on the iPads. My wife has moved hers on. She didn't use it or like it. I am going to move mine on as well. We are waiting until the new Surface devices with arm are released and grabbing two of those. I don't like any OS besides windows so having my tablet run windows will be refreshing. Plus, with bluestacks, it's an android tablet anyways. I run stacks on my dell and it works great. Once you turn off all the ad crap for games I don't play, it functions just as my Samsung tablet does. Too bad MS never got on board with Google and used subsystem correctly.

I do not trust asus as far as I can throw them. They screwed me royally when I had my 3 vivotab RTs back in the day. Warranty and customer service means nothing to them.

Not a problem. I have nothing to hide. So it's all good with me. Conspiracy theorists are a funny breed. They latch on to every wackadoodle thought on the net. Fun to read, not so much to interact with since they believe their bull. Hence the ignore function. -

Lovin' the pixels. So nice to be out from the ecosystem. Just throttled back our Apple one sub too. Screw giving them more money for less service. Readly is cheaper and has 100 times the magazine publications than news plus. We have no need for apple fitness anymore and moving to a free service available on Roku for workout routines and using fitbit and others for health metrics tracking. Saving 25 bucks a month doing it this way now. -
Finally. Microsoft incorporates iOS into phone link.

Back to Phone Link, I am loving the functionality with it and my P8P. Sharing phones with MrsKojack, messaging from my two PCs, and easy connectivity without fighting with it all the time, is great. A great app for every other device except iPhone. -

I think they are going to push the court case if this fails. Apple got screwed once this week, time for another go! -

I think the charging for the service was the "bait". They knew Apple would go "nuclear", as steve would say and shut it down right away. Therefore, getting government involved because of the DMCA act law that states reverse engineering is allowed for purposes of interoperability. I think that Eric has a good case. Beeper mini was no different than if I had an iPhone and connecting to their server. That's the point they are going after. It's going to get interesting. As for the revenue, Eric has millions of dollars. He started pebble which Fitbit purchased for 23 million dollars, I am sure he invested ALOT of that and is now quite wealthy from it. The purchase was in 2017, so he had lots of time to grow his wealth. -

As far as been reported there is a dma law that states if something is reverse engineered for the purpose of interoperability between platforms etc, it's not illegal. Beeper knew of this law and I think that is why they did what they did. They know that law can and more than likely will be upheld. Beeper = chess. Apple = checkers. -
I have ordered over a dozen Dell systems in the past few years and never noticed where any were shipped from. I bought the "in stock" models that appealed to me since I was upgrading them myself. Next one I am going to see where it came from. I am currently debating a surface laptop or an xps 13 for the wifey for our work moving forward.

I work both from home and the local bell store part time. Soon home full time. We have our businesses up and running now, just a matter of time. I have no issues with my phone connecting with any network etc since I have been using it. -
