We have no issues with ours at all dropping connections etc. Our iphones were Constantly dropping Bluetooth, apps and lte signal. These are rock solid.

Ok, now that is taken care of and I cannot see any comments from ai guy anymore. My wife and I have been using our phones for 24 hours we are both blown away with the newfound capabilities of the pixels. They are miles ahead of the iphone now. iPhones are stale and boring. No new features for years and just meh now. The pixel lineup is awesome with the AI assistant, recorder features, cameras which are second to none right now and overall fluidness of the phone we are 100 percent happy with our purchases.

Again. I do not care. Apple is exactly like the rest. They just cloak it in marketing bs. I don't care.

Apple are no better. Our pixels are awesome. all that matters. The worlds needs LOTS bigger things done than to worry about what freaking phone you use. I am not getting into that here.

We got our phones setup with the basics. I love it. The wifey has not tried hers yet as she had to scoot out after I did the data transfer. I am working on getting hers setup with the Microsoft launcher etc now. First impressions are AWESOME. So much better than our iPhone's.

Thanks! Would have been gone years ago. Tried earlier this year to get her into a coral 7a to try out. I am just happy to be moving away from apple's garden of hell. Crappy iOS updates, lack of anything like a new feature, bugs and OS glitches, Just all around poor experience. Not what apple was back when we had our 6s'ssssss.

Mine too. I wanted to get out of apple for a long time. Only thing is we have 2 ipad 10th gen, and two apple watch 8s we are paying off through work for the next year and a half. D'OH. I had to convince the wifey to get the pixel. What tipped her over the edge is the recorder summarize function. We bought the google silicone cases in the colors of our phones. We also ordered spiegn screen and camera protectors. I am looking at the two boxes here wanting to set them up but I dont want to drop them either ha ha.

I have the bay blue, the wife got the porcelain color. We are going to enjoy these two.

The two phones arrived today! They are awesome. Build quality and materials are great. We are just waiting for our cases and screen protectors to arrive before messing with them. Next week I will be free from iPhone YAY! ha ha.

I am probably going to go that route as well. I need imessage, I do NOT need an iphone. I just cracked the seal on my pixel 8 pro and OMG what a piece of hardware. I am not doing anything until I get a case. The wife is impressed with her's too.

Not yet. I have been super busy with other things in life. I am hoping to get the little job I have to today, and get at it and see if I can get working. I will report back when I get the system back on the kitchen island and setup ha ha.

I get spam messages on my imessage now, so I don't think Beeper is going to change anything in that regard. I am thinking I may just sign up using the mini farm side of beepr and have reliable connection. You did this correct?

Hope that can be resolved. I may go to log into my legacy beeper request and just use that. Send an invite to the wifey for hers then too. I trust beeper much more than Carl Pei/sunbird. He's a shady ****. I remember OnePlus back in the first couple of versions taking peoples credit card info on their site, and those customers being ripped off thousands of dollars. I don't trust him as far as I can throw him.

When the wife is at work tomorrow, I will crack open the system again and see what I can come up with UEFI and secure boot is enabled I do believe.

I have not tried diskpart (I don't think). I basically formatted the drive, created the boot usb from TrueNAS website, and then did the "installation" on the ssd. This is the Card I am using. Update: Cancelled the pixel 8s, getting two pixel 8 pros ha ha. Both the wife and I want some extra features found in the pros.

I think now that Beeper has figured everything out, Apple cannot close the doors permanently. I think it will be a temporary thing, and then it will be figured out in short order. Props to a high school student figuring out how to make imessage work on android though.

Go watch snazzy labs take on this. It's awesome. iMessage was reverse engineered by a high school student. Apple...Kings of security! ha ha ha.

I will be trying out beeper mini on Christmas morning when we open our pixels. Reports to follow.

Got our two pixel 8s ordered. Should be here next week. We are excited to move from apple for a change.

I will get them this morning after we get straightened away for the day. I have to pull the case off the system.

It sees the HDDs no issue. I want to install an ssd I have as a 5th drive in either the PCI-E card, or the esata port in the back of the system to run the OS off and have the 4 HDD just for storage with no OS on them.

If those solid state coolers are soon able to be purchased by the public (frore ssd chip coolers), I would try a maxed out spec MBA 15 inch. No throttling then. Would be an interesting system.
