Yep, i got stung for that too. 4x 8gb sticks "DIMISION" not great. branded 1866, clock runs them at 798, so 1600's reclothed with a fancy sticker. Micron chips but three benchtest apps report as 1600. They dont report all detail in CPUz either....

Damn....

I’ll have to try that and see if less sticks pushes the C value up. Using memtest and other programs reports 1600 when they are “meant” to be 1866, but as called out earlier in chat the “fakey” hyperx underperform.
well done if you got the genuine 2133 stuff I’ve been hunting for a while, only seen the odd stick of 1866

Finally finished prepping the 980M sink from the mXM “B” part of the 8770w sink. Now gotta cook the 8570w sink to remove the old “A” sink. Heatpipes took ages to wiggle free with the heatgun, will reattach with lower melting point solder

Just to let you know, I tried running 3200MHz on both the 7710 with an i7-6920HQ and the 7720 with a Xeon E3-1535M v6, but it wasn't possible. I only managed to get the 7710 to boot once with a single stick in a single slot, but it was extremely unstable. Otherwise, it would always throw memory-related LED error codes and fail to POST entirely. Now just out of curiosity: I once saw a listing on Xianyu for a 7720 motherboard with a Xeon E3-1575M v5 (the one with 128MB eDRAM L4 cache) where the seller claimed it ran 3200MHz stably, but I'm not sure if that's actually true.
