  1. They certainly charged me taxes on my 4080S Suprim x. Like $84 dollars
  2. Waiting to upgrade is a great choice. As far as performance goes, the GPU was not overclocked in the video. But even if it is, I still cannot match a 4090. But it’s certainly fast enough for my needs either way.
  3. 45FPS is definitely playable. I’d run what you’ve got. Especially since it’s already getting the job done. My system as a whole definitely performs very well in 4K. But I cannot match a 4090 lol. The 4090 is a 4090. There’s only one way to get that much speed. 😃 I guess the better answer would be, this GPU is so fast I haven’t even thought about a 4090.
  4. It’s hard to believe I know. They are unbelievable temps for an air cooled GPU. I made a video of it though. It actually settles down to 44c with 100% fan at 4K towards the end. 4K was 44-45C 1440P 42-43C 1080P 41-42C I start out with just auto/silent fan, and then test with 100% fan speed.
  5. It runs just strangely cool for an air cooled GPU. But yes the GPU seems really amazing! The memory seems very similar to my prior 4080 Super and like most others I think. +1350 memory is stable so far. The core is really the most amazing so far though.
  6. I think it’s a good sample or just maybe the amazing air cooling it has lol. But I overclocked the GPU to 3,000Mhz core with no effort at all, ran 25,600 GDDR6X and the temps and power usage are practically the same as stock. It does feel like there’s some sort of artificial wall going past 3,000Mhz though unless that’s just the temp limit knocking it back down.
  7. The 4080 Super is mind blowing fast. Especially for how efficient it is. If you opt for 1080P with “High” settings this is a 300FPS GPU. If you run 4K with “High” settings it will provide 150+ FPS. Now, notice I said high settings. Some games have the Ultra or Extreme graphics settings which will reduce that substantially. It is extremely fast though. I really like it. Another amazing MSI product! The mouse pad was a big selling point even though it seems small or silly to most. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in Walmart and almost bought a new Gaming mouse pad. But I put it back on the shelf simply because I didn’t want to waste the $30 dollars on it. So MSI forced one on me. As for the GPU, it’s easily the nicest air cooled GPU I have ever owned. It’s perfectly silent. No coil whine, no fan noise, and it barely warms up. This is what I wanted from the start. The cooler is overbuilt and very effective.
  8. I just tested my MSI 4080 Super Suprim X in games. I ran God Of war at 1080P/1440P/2160P. ”God Of War” 100% fan @1080P 41C GPU temps 235-255 watts. 100% fan @1440P 43C GPU temps 255-275 watts. 100% fan @2160P 45C GPU temps 275-305 watts. GPU usage was peaking at all resolutions. With frame rates of 150 FPS to 300 FPS. The cooler on this Suprim X is CRAZY how well it performs. I’m seriously amazed. This GPU performs like some water cooled graphics card almost.
  9. I woke up, and this was on my porch. These come straight from China it looks like. Working perfect!! And yes I got my free mouse pad I have been waiting for.
  10. Ever since owning a MSI Z690 Unify-X, I have developed a thing for MSI. “Slight fanboyism” going on honestly haha, because I liked everything about that motherboard. But they do build some super nice stuff. My Suprim X will be here tomorrow. Also, that GPU looks pretty wild with a IHS on it!!! Very interesting. Even though it’s older GPU, the PCB looks very premium.
  11. I guess I’m gonna order a waterblock now. Suprim-X 4080 Sup will be here tomorrow. The Corsair 4080 Suprim block is only $151 with an additional coupon. I don’t see any better options. I’m excited to see what a waterchilled 4080 Super will run like. It’ll probably be extremely efficient. https://www.titanrig.com/corsair-hydro-x-series-xg7-rgb-4080-suprimtrio-gpu-water-block-0320co012401on.html
  12. Is that kinda like an old school Suprim? Metal shroud too?
  13. Yeah many people scam Walmart returns for a living which is exactly why they do that ID thing. I’ve never had a problem like that my self with Walmart returns. But then again I only buy food from them lol. 😂
  14. I bought 1 and kept exchanging until I went through 4 chips.
  15. I returned and exchanged a 13900K like three times to BestBuy they seemed okay with it. I got all my money back in the end. I was telling them I was hunting for a specific batch. And they were like “Okay Whatever” lol. I don’t bin like this anymore personally but they didn’t seem to mind. @Mr. Fox It was actually 4 different CPU’s total I just checked LOL. 🫣 I feel kinda bad now.
  16. Thats terrible, really sorry to hear the IMC is not very good either then. Bummer.
  17. My 14900KF doesn’t like Auto/Auto as much as my prior 13900KS did. I mean, it does work okay with it, but it does so much better with proper manual voltages found and dialed in. I would set a manual SA voltage, manual IVR TX, and manual IMC voltage. Y-Cruncher 2.5B is a good tool to fine tune the right voltage combo. So, I’d run like 8600c40 loose timings and keep adjusting voltages until you find a combo that passes Ycruncher 2.5B or TM5 1usmus. Voltages are guaranteed to be the problem here. Also, too much SA voltage can be a bad thing. Start at 1.190V SA voltage and work up in 0.010 increments. They all have that sweet spot. And that goes for IMC voltage, IVR TX voltage, and even VDD/VDDQ.
  18. Wow E-SP70 is really pretty dang low. Thats probably about like E82 or E84 with a 13900K. Which still isn’t great.. I’d take an E-SP78 or E-SP79 with a (14900K) which would work good enough once on direct die at 4.7 or 4.8Ghz. Keep digging. Something good will shake loose.
  19. Ordering up some more Koolance QD3’s in preparation for being able to easily remove the test bench/computer from the chiller and tank, and also the tank from the chiller. Koolance QD3’s really are amazing. I wish I could get them a little cheaper though. If anyone has any on here they wish to sell in 10/16 or G1/4 and 10/16 let me know. I’ll take all the Koolance QD3’s I can get. @Mr. Fox I ordered a Koolance filter too! I am going to place it right at the inlet going in to the PC, and I might even get another for the outlet from the PC going back to the chiller/tank just to be sure it filters anything going in PC, and also filters things going out of the PC. I’m gonna flush this thing before I tear it down for the move and I want it to be as easy as possible to do this. I want the tank, chiller, and test bench to all be easily separated in to just 3 pieces once I need to do so. When I set them up in the new place I want the tank and chiller to be installed inside a deep low cabinet. Im going to vent one side of the cabinet and install some fans inside of the cabinet for airflow. But I don’t want the chiller or tank to be visible while inside the room. upload images postimg
  20. Should be moved in by June. Still gonna be a while. They have to build the home which takes a couple of months, we will close next month. But then they to clear the lot and have it set up on the land. I have some months ahead of me still.
  21. We had the option of going with 4BR or swapping the 4th bedroom for an open family room which will be my office. So there is no door. So the room is always open for air flow to the hall way or mud room. I had the chiller in mind when picking this just in case I leave the chiller in the room lol. The 1st pic is a picture of my new office room below, not the actual house we bought, but it is identical to what we ordered. No door, so no trapped heat. 😃 and the laundry room in the 2nd pic right next to it, which I am hoping the heat will bleed off to and in the hall way. It’s gonna be great I think. Ever since going chiller only it has really been nice. It’s 100% reliable, no radiators or extra fans. And it doesn’t use too much extra power. I don’t really need the 15C water, so I may step up to 18 or 20C. Since I also have a 10 gallon buffer tank, my water temp stays super accurate within like +/- 0.3 to 0.6C at all times whether chiller is on or off. It’s not very fun moving them or setting it all up again though.
  22. I changed my mind on the whole AIO thing. Maybe I’d use a AIO for cooling a SSD drive but that’s about it. 😂 It’s going to be even crazier when I move though. I’m thinking about putting the chiller under the home and drilling holes in the floor with quick disconnects on a small steel floor panel. I think it would be awesome. You wouldn’t hear or see the chiller. If I do keep it in the room I’m not sure how I’ll set it up. I just want it looking nice and neat.
  23. Hey you hear about possible future Xbox consoles going with Intel for chips and not AMD?
