You can start with just a single HWlabs GTX or GTR rad. I tested out a HWLabs 280MM GTX once that someone sent to me, and was absolutely blown away at how effective they are. Just one of these 240-280mm HWlab radiators does what two or three common brand (360mm) rads can do. The GTR is more optimized for louder higher RPM fans, so it will scale and cool slightly better if using some high RPM 2K+ fans. Whereas the GTX model is practically just as good, but better suited to 800-1800rpm fans, and going with faster RPM will not scale cooling ability anymore. All about what you need noise wise I think. But since you have the new Corsair 9000 case, definitely (2-4) Hwlab 360’s or 420’s or 480’s would be pure insane case cooling which is what you’d want for such a system like this. Just know that a single HWlab 240-280mm can already effectively cool a overclocked 10900K+ overclocked 3090 Kingpin just as good as (3) 360mm EKWB SE classic rads. If one is not using some behemoth external radiator, or a big loud chiller, these radiators are really the only thing I would use if building inside of a case for absolute maximum cooling performance. If you are trying to save some money on loop cost, then really just one of these Hwlab 480 rads would do the trick, and you can add more later or never lol. -

Yeah that’s a very strong system, I’m going to build a W790 or W890 next. These systems are really so much more fun than mainstream platforms. Makes you feel like you actually have something, or that’s the feeling I have anyways lol. HEDT is really just wicked. I did not get the EVGA SR3, I have a Dominus. It has been one of the easiest platforms to tune with world class stability though. The SR3 is nice and I love those, but a little limited with only (6) ram slots. So I was considering ram capacity and longevity etc. Apparently the Dominus Extreme and 3175X can actually support a lot more ram than their specs have them listed for. Your CPU was a good choice though, and that’s a good price. I think finding a good deal is what it’s all about, some people are asking too much for these chips even the used ones. I’m going to be looking for something similar to what you have though. Not quite sure if I want to go Quad channel or Octa channel like yours. keep us posted on some Aida 64 runs, and or any ram overclocking if you go that route. Nice temps as well! I really can’t imagine your CPU on a chiller!!! 😍😍😍 That would be a sight to see! I’d bet 4.8Ghz possibly 4.9Ghz can be done for sure. Massive silicon! With a massive P-core only CPU’s. Definitely go custom loop. You can probably do a nice easy 4.5Ghz-4.6. -

MSI is one of the best! Good quality, reasonable prices. Good products. I always thought the Suprim X products were better than ROG stuff. I have this MSI 1KW baby PSU, it is pounded by a 4090 and a overclocked 28 core Xeon and (5) pumps. The thing gets really warm being that it’s always under a 400+ watt to over 1,000+ watts of load. And it holds up great without any weird noises. 🤣I am planning to add another though. My current CPU overclock is limited by the one PSU. So I’m gonna add another right beside this one. -

Absolutely WICKED!! Yeah I’m loving my Xeon 3175X and my ram capacity has been pure reliability with 192gigs. Which DDR5 did you go with? How high could you clock the 3465X daily? And just so everyone knows, this monstrously strong 3465X is the prior gen model 🤯so I’m absolutely impressed. Although, I think they are pretty similar honestly. This makes me want to go ahead and buy a W790 motherboard though. 😁 Also, that Sage is Octa channel right? -

Thats awesome! So long as it works reliably and it performs how it should, it doesn’t really matter who makes it lol. Looks like it’s a great performing chip. When the 9950X3D comes out, I will absolutely consider one. I want to see W890 as well, but I already know it’s gonna be worlds more expensive. I’ve been running my current cpu all over the place with overclocking and stock speeds getting acquainted with its abilities. Recently tested out a 3.8Ghz with only 0.935V, which works great. But I just can’t help but wonder how another sample may run/perform OC wise. 😁So now I’m tempted to grab another 3175X. It has been pure fun, with no pains during the whole process fortunately. I hope yours stays that way as well since transitioning over to AMD. -

Thats pretty good honestly! Are you going to delid this CPU as well? I hear Direct die chiplet CPUs are very finicky. Also, how do you like this system? Is it pretty reliable? Anyways, I just ran R24 with my bone stock 3175X@3.8Ghz. Will try again with an OC after work. I have been running this chip like this daily with just (4) Core boost of 4.4Ghz, all-core of 3.8Ghz, and I fell in love with the profile lol. It's like 250 watts in R23 and runs about 38c package max 🤣 -

I have been using Windows 11 Pro 24H2 for a few months now "Fresh install on the new 3175X Dominus RIG".. Anyways, I was looking at recent 3Dmark Results for my Xeon 3175X from other users in the world. And my Physics scores was so much lower than even people running their CPU's completely bone stock, Toms hardware actually Reviewed the 3175X years ago, and his stock physics score was a lot higher than my FULL TUNE 50% CPU overclock physics score was getting (PRETTY SAD I must say lol) Turning off Hyperthreading was offering a decent boost for me, but Toms hardware did not go in and turn off HT, they just ran the 3175X stock for the review, and they absolutely smoked my full OCed chip on a chiller. So then I saw these 3DMark results and some of these users had all the 28/56 cores enabled as well, and they were beating me as well. So, I looked at their Windows versions they were using and BINGO! Most of these were Windows 10 Pro, or Windows 11 Pro 22H2 or even 22H3. So, I downgraded. And BAM! I gained 5,000 CPU physics points lol. 🤣 Many were saying 24H2 was performing worse for them. Even for newer CPU's. I never did much comparison between them when I ran Z790 platform. Just trusted the process and trusted what people were saying. Well, my point is that Windows 11 Pro 22H2 is STRONG! VERY STRONG! I am even tempted to try Windows 10 Pro now at this point, I saw someone with an extremely beefy Physics score, and they were using Windows 10 lol. I am just glad going back to 22H2 helped like it did. -

Why not wait for the 9950X3D? Did you get a 9950X? AMD is starting to pique my interest as well. But I’m waiting to see Intels enterprise W890 platform come out. If it’s much longer I’m building a W790 rig next 😃 -

How do you plan to run these? Raid 0? I’d be curious what type of performance they provide. Are these just mechanical HDD? Still very curious. I’ve been looking in to some larger volume storage setups. Tired of deleting stuff to make space. I want to keep all of my files/apps/games and build on it. -

I love these low power runs, I was always obsessed with efficient overclocking and seeing how cool something can run with how little power/voltage I can make a chip stable at. I chased that with everything honestly. Even my 3175X right now lol. It’s known as a power hungry chip. It can be setup very efficient as well though, just like my 14900KS before it. Ever since my average 11900K, and comparing with @electrosoft good 11900K. I have been practicing this lol. -

Stability testing 192 Gigs of ram is very time consuming fellas lol. So, when I ran my 2x24GB (48GB) DDR5 kit I could fine tune voltages and timings and do a quick check in TM5 1usmus which would take 12-15 minutes. And then I could move to longer stability testing. That same 12-15 minutes of 1usmus now takes 2+hours LOL. So, if someone tells me (3cycles) 1usmus ain’t good enough. I’m gonna be like BRUH seriously….🤣 -

Can you imagine if Nvidia released a 5090, and they are like. “It has less cores” “It uses less power” it’s up to 5-10% faster than 4090” “And It’s more expensive” 🤣 I think you made the right move cancelling the 285K. These platforms as a whole similarly priced to high end GPU's, if we account for top notch motherboards + CPU + Ram. I think we can count on the 5090 being a beast. -

So going in to the LGA3647 platform, and running a Xeon 3175X there’s not a huge amount of information out there since most people weren’t buying these platforms.. But my results are definitely unique. For one, people say it is impossible to run 1T Command rate on the Dominus Extreme, and you need an EVGA SR3 Dark to do this. That makes sense, only I’m running DDR4 3800CL14-14-14-34-360 with a 1T command rate on the Dominus lol, not 96GB but the full 192GB of ram. This performance has pushed bandwidth numbers even higher. -

$499.99 for the OCF is excellent deal. I think they are really good motherboards. I’d give up knowing the SP and save $220 dollars and easily go that route over the Apex Z890. Smart move I think. I’m curious why you haven’t moved to one of these big boy cooling setups. You can setup a test bench or case with some good cooling flowing through it. And make it easy to swap boards and CPU’s. And the great thing is these parts last you years and years, we don’t really need to upgrade them. Titan Rig has the original Mora420’s at blow out pricing with another 20% off discount code. You can get a Mora3 1260 LT for like $208 dollars 😃 The company “Watercool” has revamped their designs, product line, and styling since popularity has grown substantially, this has put the OG Mora3’s on sale. If you are swapping motherboards and CPU’s annually or often. Then absolutely great cooling certainly helps and gives the best advantage. It makes all chips good for the most part, besides the memory controller lol. I have a buddy on the internet who’s running the same exact setup as me. Coincidentally this is the same guy I sold my Golden 11900K too couple years ago, he coincidentally also built a 3175X+Dominus extreme the exact same week that I did (Weirdest coincidence) anyways, this guy is running 4.0Ghz@98C with his AIO, while I run 4.7Ghz@70C with the mega cooler 5000 lol. I cannot overclock more merely because my single 1,000 watt PSU is not enough. My PC will reboot. (I have a 4090 and several pumps being powered as well) @electrosoft You too lol. Anyways, watercooling is another hobby inside the already fun PC hobby. 😃 -

Did a few hours of gaming with my son tonight playing Ark, since these ram sticks packed in like sardines, I was wondering how hot they would get, but the temps are really good! No fans at all, just passive cooling on the ram/motherboard. There was no loss in overclocking ability at all going from 96GB to 192GB. Very easy to overclock on! Just a beast of a machine! 🙂 -

12x16GB installed (192GB Of fresh Samsung B-Die dual rank sticks in the Dominus! This was about a $572 dollar investment for this matching 256GB kit of ram. But definitely worth it!! I have a 4x16GB left over that I cannot use. I’ll hang on to it if I ever decide to sell this down the road. All sticks were manufactured February or April of 2023. 😁 First boot at 3200cl14 XMP at 1.350V, now to start overclocking. It’s nice to see when things are done correctly with patience, there are no issues at all. 😀 -

That makes sense. Anything popular made by TSMC is going to be pretty limited. Makes me miss the old days. I think it would be great if Intel still launched the 14901KE. -

There is something so fun about overclocking lots of ram, I think whenever I do get back in to a DDR5 platform again, I’ll definitely be running some dub side sticks like 2x48GB. -

All of these comparisons between 285K and the 5.7-6.0Ghz 14900K. I can only assume my last setup with the 5.9-6.2Ghz 14900KS, DDR5 8600C36, would absolutely rail road the 285K 🤣lol. I had the chips ring at 5.3Ghz. And it was tuned up nicely. Not to mention Newegg just had these 14900KS for $439.99. So hard to buy a 285K. I definitely don’t regret my decision to skip the platform. ebay polyhedral dice -

I ordered another set of 128GB, 8x16GB G.Skill Ares Samsung Bdie 3200cl14-14-14-34. Same exact kit that I already have, I asked the seller if he could grab a kit that is sequential to my kits serial number, he showed like 12+ kits in-stock on Ebay so I figured maybe he has a sequential serial number to my kit, maybe a kit that counts up over mine, or before mine. Anyways then he said it was the last kit so I just ordered it, we will see what happens. This is going to be really cool though either way. I will have all 12x Dimm slots filled. 😬These platforms perform best with all twelve ram slots filled. Not really sure why that is, but okay! 😀 I am planning to water-cool all 12 sticks of ram next, and I am going to use these to accomplish this. They are old, but they will work! x6 ram water blocks are not very common. -

I see many people upgrading to Z890, the board selection is very nice this go around with more choices. But since enterprise parts like Xeon have embraced overclocking so nicely, my interest has changed from mainstream parts towards the enterprise parts.
