  1. You can mod the 980 DT heatsink to work with MSI 1070 and tie up the 2 fans together in parallel on the main fan header. (do not connect the yellow wire on the second fan (only red and black) Here is the mod. read carefully till the end of the post. Where the CPU is concerned I personally recommend a 9600k (same delta as the 6700k at same clock but way faster)
  2. Where did you find a P4000 for 250 usd?
  3. It depends, because your MSI gtx 1070 will work fine with a inf mod. Do you have the dual heatsink on it? (modded gtx 980 DT one or single 980m heatsink)? For example if you have a single heatsink and really want native audio support you can go with the original bios modded one.
  4. There are also 1070 mxm 3.0b, these but I have heard people having trouble with them.../if you buy one ask the seller for a specific vbios that works with your clevo otherwise I would not recommend it.
  5. If I remember correctly people on the NBR forum upgraded P775DM with one of those, but the board had HP vbios on it (had problems with dell vbios). Why not go for a 1060 or 1070?
  6. For the DM3 you have this tutorial, courtesy to brother FOX Have applied these setting on my DM and never had a throttle flag since.
  7. It depends on what bios you are using. Dsanke has 2 types of bios for the DM: 1. The TM port (I recommend may version), which has support for 8xxx 9xxx processors and pascal/turing support, but has the sound bug - I am using this one because I have the mod and I need Pascal support and I am using bluetooth headsets. 2. The mod on original bios which has support for 8xxx 9xxx processors but no pascal/turing support. This one does not have the sound bug (behaves exactly like the original bios).
  8. Anything that has a 3.0b mxm format that you can cool down will work with a modded driver. From what I know Aetina 1080 is longer that a standard 3.0b mxm (you might not have the space), also keep in mind that Aetina needs extra power pins.
  9. The thing is that before I posted the link the seller had more than 10 in stock, now ... out of stock. I am glad that my idea helped some people.😁
  10. Yes it can, the limit on the controler is 1 amp, so 2 0.5 amp fans are ok.
  11. I have no ideea. I can only recomend to set default bios options and apply only overclock and undervolt and do not touch power options for the moment and see how it goes.
  12. see in bios on overclock menu if avx offset is set to another value than 0 (most people set it on 2, meaning -200 mhz when heavy avx workload detected). Other than that, see if the cpu power throttles when heavy avx load is involved. Use throttle stop and see what is going red.
  13. Tm heatsink can be made to fit on every p870 version.
  14. I have posted the pic so you can have a rough idea of how the backplate legs should look after been cut. That is from when i have done the easy bios access mod
  15. I am using this https://www.ebay.com/itm/283772575617?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item421229df81:g:6ukAAOSwkfReO9Qw&amdata=enc%3AAQAGAAACoPYe5NmHp%2B2JMhMi7yxGiTJkPrKr5t53CooMSQt2orsSwcmzw5CLtzTE60FqHcnq2BgKtyKbhGOMqnlQdWf9MtaGpAd%2F2qcqW6LZyce6HUyTnFGqH31aVn8vTzJjywrCOBxTZFa82GkuA4LZHLF%2F5MPTFCR%2BuK%2FeJThIS%2BAEglszLfSnH34Cw%2FhDk3nzl93B0C3wtPtnjxHf5eTaj6Dlw1iO2b37TnG1lyZQwwOCIj5caTqd6Yz%2FiAfXzH364DOuztiDnydJqo3rhQXOyWN%2F5kSHnyiCfYHI%2B6nQ3ilf56AlvyjoQOOsvA3gQ3pE3S%2Fn4V0lrmHgxegY5UJA26PnOIiZWYWO99q6lu2tRhbKaOn42jdwgdlXtIv1n%2B%2Fgef5Cc6UqRAmgI6K8TIf0KeKfBnuRiTLbzAMcUWZXqCg31w6vXRTIwiH7Z7Pef38V%2FG4pk4GXDEwSmzqfxO5M1V%2B0YRuXZH5uLLJ05NQvU2450AB%2BQ%2B4QM1PvS1qhRQ%2BXMlt601ARN9YBrT%2FmA565eSrCs3THeXwPPkcya0lS2GRsH9d4ZAEsau%2FbuzMdvKMlLgcs13KxMTo%2BnEnlJpf36rt%2F4MYJGnHSKOBqEfCmOL9gD5yQaWTSQ%2BlvREWmIHtMxL44EnDvVbapyeMgj7Z91EovOnbqlBU%2FAgixH8R06S%2B9%2BBzyzIiMcxcgGw5ctMCgjW8GF9zBYm7q9TH2DjXk%2FMdTCgjAcBzM1TMBjIyHsjP9ozLRWG69VrsSM0FUszo7eUcENAuTDxC4kWzbLcsXLdB8wYSPL02uBCAU1xvAW28XxGrc72%2B8ziBl810QXJNMgzdIG49MVIMVxCjTU7biHL9ZAQoEiqTzqVNQp6eDJ0wr4SqPKDi7rEbK%2FUDgmteFDF4v0A%3D%3D|clp%3A2334524|tkp%3ABFBMwo-J09tf It is the same thing as conductanout or clu, it is basicaly liquid metal but with noname (alas cheaper...way cheaper) same results as conductanout so basicaly why not? You get a lot of product for the money.
  16. 1. If you cut with a dremel the screw threads remain unaffected. Vey important after you cut is to fine sandpaper them on a flat surface to even all the legs out. Check this pic for reference: 2. On the undervolt will come back to you with a screen shot when possible.
  17. Cut the legs 3mm from that and it will be ok. it is exacly what i did on my dm.
  18. Hair dryer. You need to heat up glue not to melt solder😁
  19. I have saved everything related to Clevo P870DM (bios, mods etc.)
