BTW, you both need the MXM mod do you? The laptop is working great with clevo 1080. From what I understand they can also go for 3080 with TM ported dsanke bios.

The card should be plug and play. You will still need driver inf mod.

Ok, lets see if I can help you. First of all use this files only: - dsanke TM ported may version / or dsanke 2021 original bios MOD - Neo programer for flashing with CH341B programmer. It does not matter if the bios is flashed as .rom or .bin when flashing with programmer. You say that you failed the flash...what exactly happened? It will also work with a 6600k.

Seems to me that mosfets are not being cooled properly. Start from there. Make sure the heatsink has good contact not only on the core but on vram and VRM circuitry also (mosfets, coils, etc.)

Yes, but what you did work only with 775 and 751 because of the mobo layout, it does not work with P870

Clevo P775 TM1G Upgrade Help (gtx 1080, i7 8700K to rtx 2080, I9 9900K)
runix18 replied to the jg89's topic in Sager & Clevo
In there you will find the TM1 as well. For some reason if I paste the exact location link it still reverts to main location. follow the exact link as this one: https://my.hidrive.com/share/yze8mg-wf8#$/BIOS and EC Firmware/CLEVO/P_Series/P7xx_Series/P7xxTMx/P7xxTM1(G) As for the update procedure, it is all the same, DM/DM3/TM- 33 replies

TBH except for the MSI Titan GT77 - 12U, the X170 is still one of the most powerful out there atm.

Does it stays on or still shutting down?

For an RTX (any Clevo GPU Pascal/RTX) to work you will need: 1. MXM circuitry (2 wires that supply 3.3v to 2 pins on the MXM slot) + modded heatsink to accommodate the new style. 2. Correct extra power cable (you can actually mod the 4 pin one that you have + a celvo one - 8 pin). 3. Enough space - this is your problem. There is physically no space to add an clevo pascal/rtx in there. Or you can buy this or this if you can find one.
-
That is the hdmi driver. Try to select the TV as an audio source next time, in the sound settings tab.
-
Check to see if you have nvidia hdmi driver
-
Electrically would work, but in terms of firmware support I don't think so. You might end up unable to control brightness or even with a black screen if the panel firmware is not supported.
-
Check the service manual for compatible display, you can get that from prema`s website, under service manuals: https://premamod.wordpress.com/ Also check https://eurocom.com/ec/lcd()upgrade under Upgrade LCD Chart: Sky X4; P750DM

clevo We did it. TM1 heatsink has been grafted to KM1
runix18 replied to KabyZen's topic in Sager & Clevo
Yes, mine fit the Clevo 1080 as my heatsink is a DM3 heatsink with a mod to fit the DM, also my DM has the MXM wire mod mod to be able to start Clevo GTX/RTX cards. -

You can mod the 980 DT heatsink to work with MSI 1070 and tie up the 2 fans together in parallel on the main fan header. (do not connect the yellow wire on the second fan (only red and black) Here is the mod. read carefully till the end of the post. Where the CPU is concerned I personally recommend a 9600k (same delta as the 6700k at same clock but way faster) -
Where did you find a P4000 for 250 usd?

runix18 replied to KabyZen's topic in Sager & Clevo
It depends, because your MSI gtx 1070 will work fine with a inf mod. Do you have the dual heatsink on it? (modded gtx 980 DT one or single 980m heatsink)? For example if you have a single heatsink and really want native audio support you can go with the original bios modded one. -
There are also 1070 mxm 3.0b, these but I have heard people having trouble with them.../if you buy one ask the seller for a specific vbios that works with your clevo otherwise I would not recommend it.
-
If I remember correctly people on the NBR forum upgraded P775DM with one of those, but the board had HP vbios on it (had problems with dell vbios). Why not go for a 1060 or 1070?

For the DM3 you have this tutorial, courtesy to brother FOX Have applied these setting on my DM and never had a throttle flag since. -

It depends on what bios you are using. Dsanke has 2 types of bios for the DM: 1. The TM port (I recommend may version), which has support for 8xxx 9xxx processors and pascal/turing support, but has the sound bug - I am using this one because I have the mod and I need Pascal support and I am using bluetooth headsets. 2. The mod on original bios which has support for 8xxx 9xxx processors but no pascal/turing support. This one does not have the sound bug (behaves exactly like the original bios). -
Anything that has a 3.0b mxm format that you can cool down will work with a modded driver. From what I know Aetina 1080 is longer that a standard 3.0b mxm (you might not have the space), also keep in mind that Aetina needs extra power pins.
