yeah i dont get it either what kinda strat AMD is trying to follow... even at performance parity, love or hate the Nvidia DLSS / Reflex / Tensor based software features, red team needs to provide a substantial value advantage. but here they are, thinking they can do the same shit Nvidia does and get away with it, while scratching their heads why Radeon market share is steadily shrinking...

aight, decision is made: keeping the 4090 for now and ordered new SSDs with the 5090 budget 😛 4x8TB WD SN850X/P drives incoming! 😄 with the way things are going it might be quite a while until ill be able to snatch a 5090. however, price is also a consideration: all websites im monitoring are slowly but surely increasing prices every. single. day. so even WHEN new stock arrives, itll be like 4k+ € easily, even directly from the shop. not willing to pay THAT much, F that. rather bide my time and enjoy the 4090 some more, plus the new toys im getting for a steal 🙂

im currently thinking about just biting the bullet and selling my 4090 since pricing is going to the moon atm. i have several upgrades planned (storage and cpu for sure, potentially RAM and a timepiece) and id like to use the expected freetime i have in march to tune in my machine. issue being, if i just use the budget i have right now ill not be trigger ready whenever the 5090 drops. thats why selling the 4090 now might be a good approach... hmmmm, what are y`all thinking? lets have a small poll here: Option 1) use the 5090 budget to upgrade storage & cpu, and recharge it via selling off current parts - risking insufficient budget when 5090 drops but 4090 at the ready for daily use Option 2) sell off 4090 for a moon price to do storage + cpu upgrade - having to deal with iGPU on a daily basis but ready anytime for 5090 drops

shoot, was excited to see the 5090 suprim at one of the shops im monitoring available for purchase! nothing in stock ofc but the price was MSRP for the suprim, so figured: order now, fix the MSRP price and dont mind waiting / not having to look for availability every day anymore! but nope, shop cancelled the order cuz they apparently "dont take preorders"....ummmm, then why do they leave the purchase button activated? 😄 anyways, i was excited for like half an hour today hahaha

just saw romans vid on this, completely agree on your take here. with this little prep time by the vendors, id rather wait 2-3 months so that i can be sure my 3000+€ gpu will not go up in magic smoke once i put it through the ringer.... update on the RTX 50 series data for germany: total votes: 4401 out of which: 44% did not even try to buy a card (= 1948) 42% tried buying one but failed (= 1870) 7% managed to get their hands on a 5080 (= 325) 3% managed to get their hands on a 5090 (= 111) 3% misc. (= 147) aint that lovely? success rate of 2.5% with a total of a whopping 111x 5090s 😄 curious how many of those were aided by bots...

ha! i found two shops with a total of four 5090 models available for purchase (delivery sometime between end of march to end of april LOL) so here we have the scalper shop Galaxus: THATS IN EURO BTW! MSRP for the FE iss 2329€. the balls on that shop.... and here we have more "normal pricing" at PC-King, but still high for such basic models if u ask me: not interested in any of these models. not gonna spend a ton of money on a card that i dont even want 😄 but maybe some of you might be interested 🙂

ha! i wish 😄 as far as i can see there were maybe like 50-100 cards sold in germany, so all of europe wouldnt be that much more than the US, if any....

dont be fooled. here they havent even sold a single 5090 yet. the pages just crashed and are just now recovering. theyre still gonna release the cards 🙂
