  1. VERY curious to see what ur thoughts will be 😄 btw, happy election day in the US! just like with Intel vs. AMD, whether u guys vote team blue or red, just go out and do the work! 🙂
  2. while those are some promising numbers, WHY THE HECK DO THEY ALWAYS CHOOSE GEEKBENCH?! that bench is sooooo completely useless 😄
  3. LOL thats another way to put it then @"selling out DOZENS of cpus" 😛 but hey, that would still be more than the largest european hardware shop sold in a week 😄
  4. aint it interesting that american sites basically sell out of arrow lake CPUs, whereas in europe nobody dare touch that stuff with a 10 foot pole? 😄 on this note, more deetz on the upcoming 9800X3D, this time with full overclocking capabilities, same as with the regular skus: lets hope AMD did get the numbers right this time around 😄
  5. i like the full OC capabilities 🙂 lets hope AMD got the numbers right this time around 😄 i wouldnt call +8% vs the 7800X3D a "banger" but definitely nothing to sneer at!
  6. VERY curious to see how many here will finally cave and still go with the 285K in the end 😄 meanwhile, more rumours of intel being bought / taken over, this time by Samsung or Apple, could u imagine that?!
  7. well ill be damned... manually maxed out all settings and its got my 4090 pegged at 100% flat on my max OC profile at roughly 3105 Mhz core. that results in 64 FPS LOL
  8. lets hope intel can built upon this like AMD did. i mean, u do gotta start at some point, might as well be Arrow Lake!
  9. yeah thats the greek spelling, with an "i". in english its Ares 😄 damn, that latency seems quite high at that frequency / CL....
  10. kool, thx for the headsup, havent seen the vid drop yet. btw his name is Ares, like the greek god of war. its actually a quite common name in greece / cyprus. soooo, i was just installing Serious Sam 3 BFE Gold Edition (in the mood for some older, simpler shoot 'em up titles) and the setup had an inbuilt system requirements checker. it stated that all my components were up to snuff, EXCEPT the gpu *rofl* lets hope the 5090 is good enough for it then 😄
  11. have u tried contacting them via alternative means, i.e. phone or email?
  12. hmmm...wonder how stable that will be, seeing as HUB's testing saw the Hero cap out at 8300 with a 9950X. admittedly, Steve aint a memory OC expert and is just testing default profiles... nevertheless, still excited tho!
  13. apologies for the chuckle, but its true, very happy that we still have the NBR gang couped up here at NBT to be able and share the knowledge / keep it from disappearing into digital oblivion.
  14. yes it certainly looks like internal testing done by MSI. might also be numbers provided by AMD though. hoping for a good outcome in any case, want something to upgrade my 7950X to! 😄
  15. lets hope this pans out and is not just another "coping marketing strategy" by AMD 😄
  16. interesting tidbit on that new type of ILM: Roman commented on his recent Arrow Lake release vid that the new ILM sku would also help increasing max RAM OC, especially in the regions of 9000+ MT/s. LOOL dude, those RAM slots, think u got enough RAM yet? 😄
  17. soooo....arrow lake meh, but at least finally letting off the power consumption gas. also, get your wallets ready for the 5090: https://static.tweaktown.com/news/1/0/101024_50_rtx-50-pricing-leak-5090-for-1999-2499-5080-1199-1499-5070-599-699.png jesus H christ, so a high quality partner card incl taxes would run up to roughly 3200€, pls shoot me now 😄
  18. double ccd vcache, full oc abilities, same boost as regular non-x3d parts, im liking what im seeing thus far 🙂
  19. agreed on this. although theres definitely gonna be at least some tuning capabilities, i doubt theyd go back on functionality vs. the 7000 X3D parts 🙂
  20. if thats the case, lets hope they now include full OC capabilities and less temperature sensivity....then well have the best of all worlds 😄
  21. on the plus side, the meh 9000 launch also pushed AMD to release X3D parts sooner than originally planned as it seems: https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/ryzen-7-9800x3d-rumored-to-arrive-in-october-leaker-claims-amd-is-saving-the-ryzen-9-9900x3d-and-ryzen-9-9950x3d-for-early-2025 on the flipside tho, 12 and 16 ore X3D chips are still slated for 2025. seems like theyre gonna include some additional features for the higher core count parts, that will not be included in the 9800X3D. huh, makes me scratch my head, curious to see what they got planned. all in all, so far looks like zen 5 and arrow lake will both be neck-and-neck, but also rather iterative than a big jump forward....
  22. yeah shit outta luck, just received their response today: so looks like ill be getting me a second AM5 HPHS and sell off the current one on fleabay 😄 5C difference is definitely nothing to sneer at!
