yes and no haha. as you know, im running premamod on my lady's machine, but in order to flash that custom code we needed proper signing. otherwise it would block everything and just result in a brick. sooooo yeah....custom flash is possible but ull need the official signing making it basically a "stock" bios for the system haha. very nice, good job there bud! iirc i also managed to peak at ~230W, lemme rummage through my screenshot library real quick... edit: actually, nope, maxxed out at 145W! thats impressive, what kinda psu are u sporting? also, can u confirm this via hwinfo64? is it repeatable? u using a different TS version than before? different settings? give us the deetz! haha

i have a nice comparison between my workspace at the office and at home: 2x27inch 1080p monitors vs. 1x32inch 4K display. to be totally honest: with regards to available workspace, those two are more or less the same to me (the 4k has higher gamut and brightness so nicer picture 😋 and less head movement back n forth due to just one display to focus on) haha i loved that comment 😁 sorry to hear about that "lost order" bud...fingers crossed all goes well! lulz here we have a full crapton of enthusiasts basically always going overboard with everything...enter bro @Recievergiving overkill a completely new meaning 😂65 inch 4K displays for work, dayum! hahaha -

nnnooooo dont give up on your one month vacation! no big malls around where u could get some mobile AC unit? btw gaiz, happy to report that ddr5-7800 is stable! now continuing with 8000 and trying to get 8200 to boot 😁 -

huh, why so difficult to get an AC room bud? should be standard at such a holiday destination no? and yeah saw the same for 14th gen. lets see if this holds true, wouldnt make any sense whatsoever with AMD being such strong competition. and those 3% more perf aint gonna make much difference in direct comparison... still! keeping an eye out for the 14900K for my lady's machine, brother Prema can surely fiddle something together there 😋 -

kool man, welcome to the 4K club. do you see a discernible difference in pixelation / resolution? i for one think theres a world of difference between 1080p and 4K 🙂 nice, im still thinking back and forth whether or not i should go the mini sensor panel route for AIDA readouts... plan would be to install the screen inside the case. do you see any performance differences with that sensor panel installed? i mean, its 1080p pixels more to render for the GPU, after all 😄 maybe hes slowly building up to a 3x 4K setup 😛 😄 -
LOL, lovely...AI being used for the betterment of humanity HAHAHA welp, to be fair, GN's follow up on the initial Linus response on the LTT forum was just part of a HW news update video, not even a full separate vid. plus Steve said he wont be saying anything more about that topic after that. so its not like GN blew it completely / endlessly out of proportions haha

14th gen was originally supposed to be Arrow Lake, but it was changed to Raptor Lake Refresh with the former now on socket 1851 and with 15th gen designation. RPL-R is still on socket 1700 and will support both DDR5 and DDR4, so very good chance we can make it work on our machines 🙂

i got it instantly when it came out, 1150€ after rebate.... lulz 😛 point being, im gonna stick with it until the very last AM5 compatible cpu gen is out 😄 dunno the overall SL on my 7950X yet, havent played around with it much. started off with the 4090, then moved on to RAM. cpu will likely be the last one im tuning. cpu and ram both bench stable or 24/7 stable? im always going for the latter since im using my machine for work, as well. impressive specs tho 🙂 my previous 6600 sticks could only do 6200-34-37-37-19 in gear 1. but that might also go back to the bad IMC haha. -
good thing that ure able to get ur data off of it, thats the most important part! ill definitely try and get 14th gen working with Prema's support, but thats still somewhat in the future...

aha! after 3 days of fiddling around i finally figured out what the culprit is with regards to high RAM OC stability in windows: the cpu imc! lets see how much it can handle, i bumped it by 20 mV today and voila, finally passing stress tests at 7600 Mhz 😃 (although im already pretty much redlining it at 1.58 V now 😅) no idea if i can get 7800, let alone 8000 stable though, so lets see, step by step... in any case, this is a relief, if it had been the mobo then that would suck, way more expensive snd difficult to replace than the cpu or ram modules haha. -
i disagree completely. if you go by that logic, nobody should ever be called out or held responsible for anything, because everyone has done mistakes in their lifes, be it professionally or on a personal level. everyone is sitting in a glass house, but if nobody is throwing stones then we might as well just ignore society and laws as a whole 😛 word. although id still say that GN has very VERY high standards and so far I haven't seen or heard anything (proven, that is) that would lead me to believe theyve done any wrong by the consumers. worst i could barely agree with is a tad of personal bias by Steve, which naturally comes after being disappointed and jaded for so long by players in the industry f*cking things up. and thats definitely understandable. i mean seriously, aside from GN, HUB and Dr. Ian Cutress, who else would come close to objective deep-dives on tech? not saying theyre perfect, but theyre damn well close and always striving to do a better job than the day before. cant ask for more than that.

Nvidia price drops incominnnnng 🙂 let us know when u got it bud. i need more peeps joining in on this AM5 RAM OC fun 🙂 currently working on stability in windows. also cant just quite get 8200 Mhz to boot, but based on the Q codes i can see on the mobo during boot attempts its soooo close.... -

wow still rocking the HM series, thats awesome! so happy to see the legend live on 😁

main point to analyse here is what kinda balance you have between laptop and desktop usage. are you on the move a lot and how often do u actually use the desktop? is it laptop for work only but then high perf gaming and productivity on the desktop? if the latter, keep the desktop, if the former focus on a high perf. laptop.

been on the lookout for this! holding off on delidding until i cam get my hands on the enhanced IHS, direct die is not an option for me due to the problem of having three dies and no actualy center to put the cooler on, thus way higher risk of cracking silicon. alternatively, ill try just using the stock ihs in an LM sandwich... u got enough clearance for that? might be easier to just point a 120/140mm fan onto the ssd 😄 welp, considering 14th gen is basically a "gift" for socket 1700 owners im not complaining. one more gen for my lady's machine to be upgrade to, ill take it! especially if it turns out more efficient than 13th gen 😃 btw bro @Mr. Foxi just started back at zero with my ram tuning, i encountered the exact thing u mentioned with regards to errors popping up due to thermals. going back to stock timings at 6400 gear 1 and will tune vdd/vddq first, then start again with the timings...
