  1. Good Afternoon everyone! First off, congrats to all of us as we now have over 500 members on the forum! This is all due to word of mouth as many of you have had profiles on other forums and shared links to this forum. For that, I thank you all for sharing how NBR members could find NotebookTalk and chat it up with familiar faces. I would like to also announce my intent to give a bit of standardization for the official threads, in particular the official threads that are directly related to specific model laptop(s). I will make another announcement in the future when that is settled. Lastly I have accepted and made changes to a request made by @1610ftw to allow for the OEM Uniwill to have its own sub-forum, which is also better known as TongFang. This can be found in the list of Notebook Manufacturer sub-forum. Also since the beginning of NBT, there has been no activity within the Gigabyte/Aorus as well as Apple sub-forums. As a result I have deprecated them for the time being. Of course any content related to such subjects are still welcomed! If content being generating for such brands we will be happy to re-make those subforums
  2. If anyone is in contact with them, encourage them to reach out if they so wish to find a new home. We may be able to facilitate!
  3. From a distributed computing standpoint that scenario is interesting lol
  4. I like Energy Efficiency but mostly because I like keeping my money. Though that just means said product is more expensive more often than not, been looking at Window AC units LG OLD units are almost a hundred or more cheaper, where the dual inverter types are more expensive. First world problems I suppose
  5. USB 3 and NVME support are typically the huge asks that people look to have spliced in. Thanks for sharing
  6. Saw some thumbnails lately talking about aib's wanting 40xx delayed due to excessive stock of the 30xx. Any credibility to that claim or just click bait?
  7. Well for me it's while sleeping in the room. While it's not forced air level of dB and pitch it's still uhh noteworthy lol
  8. Yeah I think I'm going to move my desk against the wall, list the gpu stack on top of the desk and bring in my bedside chest to extend my usable area from wall to wall, this way I can I have my window fans pulling heat straight outside without conflicting with my projector One thing I cant get around is I will need another couple pieces of wood to provide more surface area as well as create another duct for my server psu's
  9. Seeing people getting promoted despite being 30% below threshold.
  10. You're not supposed to say that out loud, now they are going to go for a special DDR5X route so you would need RAM as well 😮
  11. Man, lovely machine Too rich for my blood, for now. GLWS!
  12. Well no one likes having words put in their mouth, this time was just a bit more literal tqhn as per usual lol
  13. Need to pick one of these up, been using high pressure water to clean my heatsinks for some years now. Cheaper and I guess better for environment? Makes cleaning heatsinks an all day affair
  14. Because the last time you opened a thread you were asking for more than your budget limit permitted. Going from that to 4k120 is worlds apart. Unless of course your financial situation changed then go ham lol
  15. Yeah that's word salad. Uniwill (Tongfang) is likely how it will be named but I would welcome adding the additional context within the sub forum.
  16. Im looking forward to when the distro is officially released 🙂
  17. Do you have a need to upgrade or are you just trying to scratch an itch?
  18. I don't mind shipping to Europe but I can't guarantee anything after it leaves the country since tracking tends to not follow after that.
