  1. Yeah its a great time to kick junky sugar drinks since the environment encourages hydration. I tend to stay away from the other stuff once I am back on the water + coffee kick and just supplement with something like Electrolyte to get me through the day. Gets rid of the brain fog too, which is something I need to do anyways.
  2. It's a tough job but someone's gotta do it.
  3. @Tenoroon I was once told that a clean desk is the sign of a sick mind. 🙂 It looks like there is a Socket G3 desktop motherboard from Asrock, not for consumer but it exists. So I will be holding onto my 4980hq chip for a while longer it seems 😄
  4. Some days here its been 40c+ First time I thought honestly about picking up a Windows AC unit for the second floor...
  5. I would look for the individual thread in the archive :) @Aaron44126 is hosting the archive but isnt going to be librarian for its contents. Try looking in the threads relevant to your model or the aftermarket modification sub-forum
  6. nope, DP to VGA adapter, they use carts with built in batteries. Most of what they do is done via browser. No need for thunderbolt on the frontline for the franchise I supply. Lot of WYSE client 5070's out there in the wild. Even then they are debating just replacing them with laptops, problem is they already have so many built in battery carts that buying laptops would be redundant. The heaviest they go for is the 7820 desktop precision for diagnostics, if they are locally connected to a monitor then they might grab some barco GPU's and corresponding monitors.
  7. The hospitals around here have been using thin clients for that for about 10 years now.
  8. In addition to fleet operations they do also have amazon flex where people essentially act as a doordash for Amazon. If its expected to be 2-day or even a month, as far as I am concerned then simply state as such. Last 5 orders were stated as same day, when in reality its been 2 full business days later @ 10pm.
  9. I ordered something for an itx form factor, will see if they fit how I would like lol Also ordered the Thermalright Peerless assassin 120SE model, needed something for my AM4 system so that I can make my 7810 a VM sandbox. Was surprised to see a dual tower cooler for 37 USD. Lastly though Amazon sucks, Im tired of their BS to quite honest. Look if a product is unlikely to arrive at my door by the same day then simply report as such but its been the last few orders now where it states same day but doesnt show for 3 days. Again Im not being irate because its "late" its just frustrating to repeatedly alter my schedule when a giant corporation like Amazon cant make simple projections and if it happens so often then why make the claim to begin with? :end rant:
  10. We have no intention of letting this forum die, even if no one posted it would remain. More importantly I am happy as well to see familiar names and new ones, and fully intend to keep the spirit of what was, here at NBT. With that, welcome (back?) to the forums 🙂
  11. https://www.amazon.com/Overclock-Computer-Aluminum-Chassis-Graphics/dp/B07YYXJFG4/ref=sr_1_5?crid=3E0YBYHF2H41J&keywords=open+air+bench+pc&qid=1655017409&sprefix=open+air+bench+pc+%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-5 This type of product is what @Mr. Fox recommended to me a while back. I am using it for my 10850K system and will be buying another for my AM4 system.
  12. Honestly from a NIB experience it is a bit disappointing but it doesnt look too difficult to make your own heatsink with that layout. Of course this isnt justification for its current design. Worst case scenario you could go the eGPU route I suppose if the GPU burns out or no longer beneficial as the primary.
  13. TechTarget decided they didn't want to keep the forum alive, that was that.
  14. That's hardly a new design philosophy. Honestly surprised you aren't pointing out that the cpu is soldered as well since they mention ram being soldered, something that's been done on xps 13's for 5+ years at this point.
  15. Last I saw fairphone didnt sell to the US, but maybe they are more flexible now, the new device looks pretty nice
  16. Its all good, it did remind me to work on making something else for the forum
  17. For the highly mobile less cables makes sense. Nearly anyone with a phone in my warehouse is listening to music and podcasts via wireless ear buds. Not my kind of thing but its not a stretch to imagine that this would play out this way.
  18. Hmm, ok sounds like I need to take a couple of days off and get some work done on the forum then. Will you be on the forum here and there over the weekend?
