  1. My experience has been mixed. My 780m and 1080 have died and one of my rtx 3080's almost blew up, but my 5700xt is still pushing 325w with 0 issues but getting past the driver limitations is annoying on both teams. That being said the AMD mobility lineup is probably deserving of the scorn, I only had the lighter side of AMD for MXM. M5100 and M6100 and both were able to overclock leagues ahead of its limitations with a vbios flash. That all being said there arent exactly the go-to GPU for gaming anymore. Each have their pro's / con's
  2. The Kingston HyperX 2133 are essentially the same thing 2133MhzCL11 I might have a 16GB 2x8GB set at home.
  3. Welcome back to the Forums! Lots of buzz in the Dell Precision sub-forum right now.
  4. Im just as human as the rest of you, and also dont want ads on the forum, which is why there is none :P. I would sooner accept donations, subscriptions, crypto etc etc before I would turn to ads, to which I am also hesitant. As for suggestions @Snowleopard there is a location for just that here. Though your post will need to have some modicum of construction as currently I am unsure what your dissatisfaction is, if its something I can facilitate I am happy to do so.
  5. Yeah true enough. I had been pining a bit to switch back to the Desktop but could never justify it since I have a pretty decent laptop. One of our members here successfully upgraded the P751 laptop with the RTX 3080 so I will take this chance to look over the real estate I have with this machine for incorporating that card as well as expanding on the heatsink. Wont be doing anything right now though, other priorities ahead of the "to do list". Thanks for the offer! Sadly the 1080 I had used has a offset die location so with my current heatsink it wouldnt be able to mount at all lol I am back to using my previous desktop AM4 ITX
  6. The link doesnt work for the Egg anymore, fairly odd. I think my 1080 or the motherboard is on the way out for my P750FM, lose all video, tried downclocking the vram and now I get colors but lose displays until it reboots. I setup my AM4 ITX system again with one of my 3080's :)
  7. Would definitely love a formal write-up! Thanks for sharing your success thus far 🙂
  8. Too expensive, reminds me for some reason of the CoolerMasterV10 Still sort of want one lol
  9. I was given an older project from work, I guess at the time of release (2014/2015?) it was rather fancy? 1280x800 native but does 1080p60 quite well all things considered. I was surprised as its my first foray into this genre of technology. I just have it mounted above me pointing towards an empty wall in my bedroom. Gotta say makes it perfect for controller gaming, but due to Texas heat I tend to shy away from it during the day.
  10. So you DO understand! 🥰 And here I was worried, thats a load off. 😂
  11. No no, I made a country and it's called chian, it's definitely not for avoiding vat or duties. Promise.
  12. Is it the same amount of mass or was that not mentioned? (sorry at work) Well, I mean, I avoid taxes where ever possible too lol I remember when Newegg finally started collecting taxes the PC genre had a collective depression for a bit.
  13. I love the concept I haven't much looked at the landscape in some time, using an NH-D15 for the 10850k and thermalright (iirc) 30 usd dual tower cooler PA 120 se?
  14. Liquid metal would help reduce the spikes but its more important to check contact pressure first, if the pressure isnt sufficient its not worth the risk. I have destroyed my y510p some time back with LM, but I took 0 precautions and did 0 research. It was a quick fix more so to meet my deadline for a paper I was writing for University and the effects of thermal mediums based on their expected performance. It was that or pay for another term lol. That being said I use liquid metal for my current laptop with a 9700F @ 4.5 and can sustain it iirc around 110w? Its an absolute frankentop though, not really something to be compared to what we have here 🙂 Also not to bad mouth Dell but their thermal applications arent the best (as is the case with most brands) this is mostly simply due to economies of scale and introduces too much error if human hands were involved, to which I would say you personally are likely fully aware. Since they are replacing the panel I would just wait it out. My experiences with Dell seem to point more to the typical issues even Grocery stores faced when news of the Pandemic hit, everyone rushed to get inventory before everyone else and Dell being the slow moving giant that they are find it difficult to access to more suppliers that can meet their needs within their price points.
  15. No, need proof that you have the item in question :) In the mean time please provide a price for the listing, thanks!
  16. Please provide a timestamped picture and price. Thanks
  17. Always been a great experience buying from @Rengsey R. H. Jr.. :) GLWS!
  18. Yeah its was basically earlier that morning iirc. The annoying part was ATT didnt come through with their promo discounts and also told me that if I didnt know what code I used (2 months later, with no record of it) that I wouldnt be able to qualify for it. Stupid ATT, the internet is forever, and I got my promo discounts later that month.
  19. I picked up 1Gb/s up and down (iirc) the day att announced their 2.5 and 5Gb/s plans I have my ax50 as the root with a couple of older routers acting as wireless extensions, archer c9 and c5 for what I want from them they do well enough. Plex streaming or downloading from steam. Things like that...
  20. Welcome to the Forums! We are still a growing forum so more content from our members is always welcomed. For example if you google "NH55JNNQ" one of the top results its our forum, and that cant happen without the community 🙂 Happy Posting!
