  1. Try using msi afterburner to "overclock" the gpu by 5mhz or something and see if it helps. Sounds like it's stuck in P1 power state instead of P0
  2. I'm still on BIOS 1.6.0 lol no BSODs for me
  3. I’ve shipped to a fellow member in Ireland a few laptops, I’ve put the value to like $90 and wrote for parts, broken but obviously those PCs were like $300-600. This one is quite a bit more so it’s a big loss for me if it’s sent uninsured and gets lost or damaged(not worried about damage actually since it’ll but bulletproof shipping LOL) import taxes suck indeed.
  4. Where in Europe are you? I can do $1,300 + shipping cost but it might be tough shipping wise. I also have it on eBay with the international shipping program enabled as well.
  5. Worse case scenario no one buys it and I’ll just keep it and maybe throw in a 3080 in the future lol
  6. Yeah I just got it early this year. Unfortunately I have way too many laptops(I think 12 right now) and I need to sell some off (probably 3-4). I actually used this laptop maybe 6 times the whole year (just to hear the audio system LOL).
  7. Price: $OLD Condition: For Parts (not posting) Warranty: None Reason for sale: Got more toys I want to buy Payment: Paypal, Venmo, Apple Cash, Local Cash Item location: Martinez, CA Shipping: US48 Included International shipping: Maybe, depending on who you are Handling time: Ships within 1-3 days Feedback: https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/ssj92?filter=feedback_page:All Specification: See my latest reply below for details.. I absolutely hate to have to sell this to fund other toys, it is Clevo's last LGA/MXM system, and this one even has a Personal Prema Mod.But alas, I actually hardly use it and I am sure there's someone here who will appreciate it and use it way more than me. Will come in original box. Intel Core i7 10700K 32GB RAM 512GB SSD RTX 2070 Super MXM 1920x1080 17" 144Hz Display CS Custom Prema Mod BIOS 2x280w AC Adapters Windows 11 Pro Will ship in original box. The "CS" logo on the outer lid is just a sticker and buyer can remove it.
  8. Does the older XTU versions still work? I'm on older XTU and 1.6.0 bios still
  9. G-Sync model works fine: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/29887901
  10. There are people including me who couldn't even get 64gb 5600mhz ram to boot without doing the power drain/reset either. My 64GB 5600Mhz is running at 5200Mhz. So the 96GB running at 4800Mhz isn't a surprise. Although, now that we have some sort of unlocked bios maybe we can change timings ourselves.
  11. Apparently the 96GB (2x48GB) kit didn't need a BIOS update...1.7 was released awhile ago, we're on 1.9.0 now. At least on m18 R1
  12. My X58 platform never received a BIOS update to work with 8GB modules, or 16GB years later. I'm running 48GB now and never did a BIOS update. I'm just waiting at this point for the 48GB modules to come out then maybe I'll test them out on my laptop. If my friend wants to take my 64GB kit I'll grab a 96GB kit =D
  13. I have the X170SM-G with Prema BIOS. I can upgrade to RTX 3080 as long as I also buy the X170KM-G heatsink. But to be honest, the 170KM-G isn't as stable as the SM-G. Also I'd rather have a 10900K 10-core over the 11900K 8-core. So for me, I'd still get the Area-51m R2. Actually I'd rather have the R1 because I like the keyboard more and it has 4 RAM slots. The performance difference between 9900K/2080 vs 10900K/2080S isn't significant. However, if you are looking for a brand new laptop and only decided on these two because they were the last ones with desktop CPUs and "desktop class" GPUs, I'd look elsewhere. I recently got the new Alienware m18 with 13900HX & RTX 4090 and it's way faster than these two. The THICC 17 is the X170SM-G. They still sell it but with the 10900K & RTX 3080...the price is just as much as a RTX 4090 laptop. These systems are great but time has passed and they're getting a bit on the old side. I definitely wouldn't pay full price for either system even brand new today since there are other options. If you want these systems because they are "upgradable" I'd look for used ones.
  14. Hi, sorry the tablet sold this morning. but from what I can tell there is no official upgrade available.
  15. Very nice I'll give this a try and report back later EDIT: It works on m18 (13th gen) on Intel. Doesn't work for Area-51m R1 (9th gen), X14 (12th gen) I shall play with this now =D
  16. Price: $200 shipped $175 shipped SOLD Condition: Brand New Warranty: None (They're from Amazon so no idea) Reason for sale: Extras Payment: Paypal, Venmo, Local Cash Item location: Martinez, CA Shipping: US48 Included International shipping: Maybe Handling time: Ships within 1-3 days Feedback: https://www.ebay.com/fdbk/feedback_profile/ssj92?filter=feedback_page:All Specification: Laptop: Amazon.com: Morostron 15.6" Laptop Full Metal Lightweight Business Laptop Computer with Intel N5095 Windows 11 16GB RAM 256G SSD FHD Display Backlit Keyboard Fingerprint ID USB3.0 Dual-Band WiFi & WPS… : Electronics Quad-Core Intel Celeron Jasper Lake CPU 16GB RAM 256GB SSD FHD 15.6" Display Windows 11
  17. I see at my home computer now. SO this works on intel too?
  18. I recommend uploading them to like archive.org or something so they don't disappear
  19. I have the Alienware Area-51m R1 and Clevo X170SM-G so basically same comparison honestly. I prefer the Area-51m in every way except audio. X170SM-G has the best audio of any laptop (better than the 16" M1 Pro MBP). The X170 series are kinda annoying without a Prema BIOS. I actually am debating of getting rid of my X170SM-G. I hardly use it but only keep it around since it has the best audio on a laptop and it's Clevo's last LGA/MXM system. You can't go wrong with either system. So choose based on which you like in terms of looks, build quality, keyboard, etc. One thing to note, with a Prema BIOS the X170SM-G can support RTX 3080/3070 GPUs (also requires X170TM-G heatsink) but the GPUs alone are $$$$ Both laptops max out at 10900K CPUs. The Area-51m R2 has 2 RAM SLOTs (R1 has 4) and X170SM-G has 4 so RAM is limited to 64GB vs 128GB. If you don't need the 10-cores, a R1 with 9900K + RTX 2080 may be worth it since they're cheaper than R2. X170SM-G itself is getting harder to find.
  20. Am I missing something? Post looks blank
