    If A5500 works for you in eDP then maybe I will get one. It would be worth testing to see if they support eDP first without backlight cable. Who knows maybe XVSION listened to you? Would also be worth checking if it works in SG mode on M17xR4. Because my A4500 from Aetina didn't even show up at all in M18xR2 regardless of vbios I tested. It only showed up in AW18. Interesting there's still no blackwell cards

    Technically I can make it in 3 days if I wanted to. Thing is, right now PEG is working on 980M & P5000 on my M17xR3 eDP panel, but SG is not working right for maxwell 2. This means 980M SLI will work but for SG there's stlll some issue. On my M18xR1, I ran RTX 5000 in primary slot using SG mode but it's limited to DX11. On dual PEG (M2000M primary + RTX 5000 secondary) it works on stock bios. Right now my bios would only benefit someone wanted to use maxwell 2 (gm204) based GPUs such as 980M, 970M, M5000M, M4000M, M3000M. Other than that it doesn't support any extra cards yet. I need to fix SG mode on my M17xR3 then M18xR1 should be able to run anything.

    So the P3200 & p4200 bios that was made, the clocks don't go past 139mhz any more. The gp106 you gave me, memory is good, core clocks don't seem to go up anymore than stock

    Actually R1 can do almost everything R2 can do upgrade wise. You can do up to 880M SLI dual cards. R2 can do 980M SLI. With my bios mod R1 can also do 980M SLI. R2 can run RTX 5000 in SG, even 3080. R1 can run RTX 5000 in SG too but due to some issue with drivers it's limited to DX11. If you put a sandy bridge CPU in R2, it has the same exact issue. My goal is to fix R1, M17xR3, M17xR4, AW17 R1 and AW18 bios. Because "back then" only the M18xR2 received a full bios mod. Ironically the AW18 can run more cards than all of them (A4500 didn't work in M18xR2 at all but did in AW18 with code 43). I may have found a solution to that too. The other mod I wanted to do is 16GB DDR3 support. But I can release a v1 with only added PEG support. I actually need testers with m18xR1 and maxwell 2 cards to do testing for me.

    Yes win11 works. I haven't tested it yet, put covering pwr pin might be the fix. Hoping to test it in a week or two

    880M SLI is the fastest "stock bios" setup in PEG. If you don't mind mismatching, you can get around the limit by using something like a M2000M on primary slot then use rtx 3000 in secondary slot. using windows 10 registry mod you can assign 3d programs to use rtx 3000. M2000M can be found quite cheap sometimes so it's a viable option. I am working on a bios mod to fix 980M SLI support but the issue is, if you want to use anything newer, you need to use "SG" (Optimus mode). unless you use my dual gpu workaround. In SG mode, the m18xr1 is limited to dx11 only for some reason, and I haven't solved this yet

    Is there anyway to change the outputs in vBIOS? Example changing eDP from DP_C to DP_D etc? Assuming the physical card/connections are supported of course.

    I'd get the A5500 personally. HP RTX 4000 isn't working on my M17xR3 eDP PEG. 980M/P5000 work fine, I'll have to see what's going on since it works on SG (980M does not lol)

    It will be bios mod, flashable in windows like any other bios update. Currently you can use unlocked bios and use m2000m and most cards in 2nd slot.

    You should be able to do 980M SLI with my mod. M2000M primary is only needed if you're doing Pascal/Turing. AMD Card might be possible too in primary to use Pascal/Turing. Amphere didn't work in 2nd slot but maybe with my bios mod it might work too

    yes you're probably right, thinking about it 980m lost backlight at windows login not during boot. anyways, a revised eDP cable probably needs to be made for AW systems.

    I will update m18xr1 bios after m17xr3 is done, it should be a simple port. I iwll look at m17xr4/aw 17 r1 after Backlight mod is not needed for windows boot if laptop is posting. 980m first worked with backlight on m17xr3, then i fixed that. using a flashlight i could see barely the screen. I don't see a PN for my cable. eDP mod doesn't work because of mxm slot being too deep

    I don't have a P32/42/52 to test but I am 99% sure it'll work. My RTX 4000 comes in 1-2 days so I will see if it sldo works. You need to start a diagnostic. My windows has num lock enabled when getting to the login screen. Also I enabled windows startup sound. These tell me if the computer is actually booting to windows. I've had "black screen no beeps" many times during my testing but the computer wasn't booting to windows. I already fixed PEG and ironically SG had a bug so now I am doing full SG fix. Ironically M17xR3 will surpass R4 if SG is also fixed since R3 can OC XM CPUs lol Actually after SG fix by next plan is M18x overclocking port to M17x (bios)

    that's on SG mode. WX7100 runs PEG eDP no bios mods. With bios mod i am running 980M, M3000M, P5000 all on M17xR3 PEG eDP. LVDS works on 980M/M3000M.

    I have 1080p 144hz panel in R1. If I bought the whole display assembly for R2 (4K panel). 1) Will the whole assembly fit the R1 (Are the assemblies the exact same)? 2) Will I be able to plug n play the eDP cable from the assembly?

    Yup Dual PEG also constantly has 60w limit with PWR reason. Looks like I have several laptops to test this on. I'm hoping you can figure out the turing quadro vbios as well for your tool so I can increase tdp. flashing 130w lenovo vbios causes code 43 on the hp 90w rtx 5000.

    Interesting, this seems easier than the resistor mod someone else here pointed out. Do you think this would also fix the dual PEG power issue? Where we use a SLI laptop to put a working gpu in slot 1 and a non working gpu in slot 2 to get gpu2 to work? The issue with that one is..the gpu always runs 20-30w less than its power limit. (ex 90w gpu runs at 60w). The other question is....does this allow the gpu to exceed its power limit? would a 115w gpu be able to go higher or is that vbios limited?
